Free Classic Audiobooks - Read and listen

Every book I wanted wouldn't play. I could NOT get them to download and play no matter how many times I tried. It appears the app is very selective in what you get 'free,' or the app is just a frustrating waste of peoples time attempting to appear impressive. Nor could I get the books description to expand, it just leaves you mid-way through a sentence making it confusing. Awful; just an intensely frustrating app or more succinctly a total load of cr...app!

I would have given this app a higher rating, but it does not have some of the classics one would expect to be included. Also, when you decide to turn off a story to come back to it later, it starts at the beginning. This app needs a bookmark option so that we don't have to hunt for the chapter we were last on.

Listening to these Classic books has been a wonderful escape from my usual routines. My experience has been that the reader has always been fluent in reading, there are no ads, I do not need to be connected to WiFi. The books have deep, thought provoking, and moving themes. I feel like I am getting an education as a stay at home mom. I love this app!!

Awful. Navigation to find books is ludicrous. You have 10'000 books which is fantastic, but the only way to see what titles you have is to hit Alphabet, and spend hours perhaps scrolling from a to z with it stopping after each short scroll. No way to look up titles by the alphabet like all titles under C. You can look up by title if you happen to know of a title. The collection is huge and wonderful, but PLEASE, let us search by the alphabet, like all titles under "A".

Great narrators! Great books! Would highly recommend it to other people! Whoever provided this app, thank you so much! Now I won't have to worry about getting audio books at the library and finding the CD's all scratched up and ruined! They can't get that way on a phone or computer!

Badly needs a stopping place (bookmark) and a sleep timer possibly between chapters, so that the book won't just continue on it's own and make the reader have to go back to catch up on what was likely missed!!! This is a MAJOR flaw and huge disappointment!!!

Surprisingly vast assortment of classics! Some of the speakers seem to struggle through, which kind of takes away from the story. Great overall!

Easy to use and a variety of genre to choose from. New to ebooks, this is a great way to revisit old favourites, those one didn't get around to and new discoveries. Thank you

Really great app, BUT please let us download a book so we can use the app without wifi! The only time I use audiobooks are on the bus or out and about when I have no wifi! this would bring me to five stars, the rest is amazing.

Great selection of books for free. The readers are usually pretty good, but some tend to read without passion. Well worth downloading and giving a try.

Fantastic. Free audio books of thousands of classics. I actually have an original set of Gibbon's Decline and fall of the Roman Empire, but now I have an easier way to 'read' it!

It offers many beloved classics. The audio is pretty good. My only complaint is, it doesn't offer the other books in the series in some cases. But overall the options are amazing!

So far no problems the narrating works and all, I just wish their was a book mark option as well. Overall I'm satisfied with the books you have.

Tapped book. Saw play button appear. Tapped play. Nothing happened. Uninstalled. Yes lots of free memory, colossal SD card space, lots of phone internal space, yes volume turned up, 75mbps internet. Star Trek section 31 never played. Uninstalled.

Very useful and it arouse curiosity from the listeners but you need to have a net connection... But I prefer to have it offline to save phone batteries, I guess this is not for me, thank you for the experience 😘

Absolutely incredible ! What a library of classics ! This is a wonderful app ! You could spend hours and hours with it and just barely scratch the surface of all the treasures that await !

Very nice anthology and collections of classics to make me a biliophile. They need to get more exposure and support. A very good job by the brains behind it.

I like the idea and the layout looks nice, but it isn't possible to search for books or for authors. The search function is completely useless.

There is no option for reading on your own. When I exited it kept playing and would not shut off. Each time I went into the book I had to scroll to my most recent point.

Pretty good. Some of readers are excellent while others are less so. Like that you can save books to your "library."
