I had used Free Caddie for over 6 years without complaint. However, the recent revision is a total failure. Yardages are totally unreliable. Very confusing to use. Tried Uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail.
Last year was good Recommended it to others. This year terrible. GP will not move or locate the green. Will not move with me . Constantly shutting down. And loosing my score. Looking for a new app. Twice out and twice terrible. Could be my data but have Verizon.
I used this app happily for years. The BEST feature was the beautiful simplicity. Front middle back - that's all that's needed. Very disappointed, will be uninstalling.
Old version was great and accurate. New version does not work for me, not accurate at my courses and nowhere near as good as the old one.
Old version was exactly what I needed, no fuss just the distance. New version not accurate and wouldn't load back nine, as for the number size it's way to small. Please sort it out
The update to your app is quite different from the orig. I think I'll get used to it, but u have removed the voice option that calls out the distance to pin after u stop in the fairway
Hand the previous pro version. This one update doesn't seem to have that option, now full of ads. Previous version was a lot easier to use and see yardages won't be updating on my golf device
Loved this app before it changed, was simple and easy to use. It now shows a satelite image of the hole but won't refresh yardages so is effectively useless. Real shame.
Totally ruined this app. I had the old version. Worked great! Gave distances front middle back. Tried to get the new one to work with no luck. Find another app
This app went from working great to not working after the update. The app wont update the yardage when playing. Thanks for breaking it. ðŸ˜
App made more complex? I play one course and don't want to search for it every time I play. I used to just turn on app and go.
Since the update, nothing works! Great job! Yardage does not adjust as I move close to hole. So, basically useless!
Free Caddie was easy to use before the update and gave accurate yards to greens. However the update is absolutely terrible and gives inaccurate yards.
Since the update this app is useless. Takes ages to lock onto satellites. I walked form tee to green and the app didn't change the distance at all. Will now be uninstalling it.
This new version is not working. The gps functionality is sporadically inaccurate. Very frustrating.
Please bring back the old version! The distances are horribly off; the scoring is terrible...
New version only has 1 of our 2 courses. I don't want to always mark a score, just play. I can see the course in front of me so I don't need a map, just distances to hazards & front, middle and back of greens. That's what the pro version of the previous version had and that simplicity is all I need. This is too "busy" to be useful. It would be good to have the option to downgrade to the previous version. I've uninstalled it before wasting time fiddling with it on the course.
Latest version is not convenient to me because the voice option has been removed and this is primarily how I used it.

Old version much better. Update is horrible. I am deleting and using another app. Bring back the previous version.
This is really the best Golf GPS APP out there, get the PRO version for a little one time fee. New problem popped up recently with laying out and adding new courses. I've added several new courses to their database in the past for the benefit of other users, it's really easy. I've discovered that I can no longer add new courses because Google Maps is now requiring a fee for use of their maps in Apps. I hope this can be worked out because without this function the App is crippled badly. Don't get me wrong, this is a good app, and there are hundreds of golf courses mapped out, but it could be back to the best....
I've had the pro version for a few years. It is clunking. You can download courses that are close to your phone. BUTif you are planning a vacation, you cannot preload courses you plan on playing. There is also a big lag between when you reach your ball, and the GPS giving you the proper distance. It could be off as much as 15 yards for a minute or two, which slows down the game. The score card feature crashes, a lot, and is un usable.
Used to have this on an old windows phone and it worked well, but is very poor on android. As with other people, slows phone, locks up and crashes, needing a reboot. Not much good on the course when you spend more time fiddling with the phone , a frustrating distraction, instead of helping to play golf. Would only recommend this to my enemies!
Very disappointed with the new 'upgrade'. I liked the big easy to read distances to front middle and back of the green, and was able to upload hazards as well. Now my local course isn't included. I will un installing this.
