Just a great utility to have on your phone or tablet to check your mobile or Wi-Fi connection speed there's really nothing more, or nothing less. It does what it's meant to do and it does it well, I wouldn't say better than any other, Definitely better than some I've used. The ads are annoying like with anything else, so if you're fortunate enough to be able to pay for the premium version do it, I'm blessed enough to be able to do that And to me $2 less per month is better than ads right now.
A very nice utility only IF PURCHASED, and the price is a bit steep for an app. But as a WiFi / data utility app it does pretty much everything you need, as explained in the app specs and it does tem accurately in a nice interface. WITHOUT PURCHASING, however, the many ads at each step, make for a frustrating experience. So before giving this excellent app a one star, consider that the developers have to have a source of revenue. Can't expect a a free ride all the time.
Use SpeedTest by Ookla instead! Literally THE FIRST THING YOU SEE when you open this app: you get slapped with an UNSKIPPABLE, full screen ad! And after you sit through that, it tries to get you to pay for an upgrade (hah!) before you've tried any part of the app and when you decline it seriously asks you again two more times just displaying it differently... Horrendous. The reviews of this app must be full of fake bot reviews. Ookla's SpeedTest had a banner at the bottom, but that's it.
Well, right now I'm kind of unhappy with it. I tried to do a test at what was for me an usual time of day. It said I had to watch 3 videos. On the 4th, I decided that it was going to run me in circles forever, and that I was willing to buy the lifetime version. Well, I can't seem to do that in the App Store. So, developer, I would suggest that if it says you have to watch 3 videos it doesn't make you watch 4 or more, and that if somebody is willing to buy the premium version you let them.
Ad ridden app. You WILL get bombarded with non stop ads when the app is launched. It'll ask for permission to know your location for more "accurate" tests. That's BS. It tests wifi speeds not 5g network speeds. You can easily run the app without letting it know your location. There's better ad free wifi test apps out there.this one is junk.
**HIDEOUS** VIDEO ADS whenever i finished a test wiped out attempts to take screenshot and make a note on the screenshot as i tried to make notes as to what/where config worked best. Im going to try other features and return to adjust this rating, but the absolute HIDEOUSNESS of those LOUD video ads drove me to rate earlier in testing any app than i normally would.
It worked the first time And it's an easy to read format. The only problem is is that the game ads are long and it doesn't give a countdown time in seconds as when the ad will disappear from the screen.
It's nice to have an app that can let you check internet speeds for a certain network, only minor drawback is ads after every scan which is ok coz they are skippable
I give it one star because it doesn't work at all, my internet is too slow and it told me that my internet speed is 50 mbps and there's 5 devices connected to the router and the app told there's one device so I don't suggest anyone to download it.
The app is easy to use and is designed well. Unfortunately, it is very inaccurate! It says my speed is 0.4Mbps downloading where other apps and web-based speed tests show my speed to be 34.8Mbps. I have no VPNs or proxies like The Onion Router so there are no network issues to explain the situation. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and the problem remains so until that is fixed I can't really recommend the program. Hopefully the development people will get the problem fixed.
Isps prioritize data from this app making it an inacurate test of internet speeds. Testing more often is kind of pointless. Fake app, fake results. I don't understand why it's still in the play store.
Test is ok, but ads pop up after every click. I had to constantly close ads after ever step.
After these recent update, DL speed always shows less than 1Mbps, but with a normal UP speed. Somehow this app intentionally rigging the result. Using other speed test app, my DL speed results to normal speed as intended.
STAY AWAY FOR NOW I understand ads for Rev but the app works horribly! I have used two other apps over the years while testing networks, saw good reviews on this so tried it. I used three devices to verify before leaving this review, my laptop and both phones are new and capable of well over 800mbps. The other apps are relatively close on speed, ping and jitter while this app fails to perform. I have 1G fiber through AT&T, using the Nokia BGW-320
Now that the ads are easier to bypass this app has improved tremendously. Makes my IT job much easier to check speeds and strength!
THIS is like the worse flypaper imaginable! The pop-up ads come faster than I can close them. The content of this app just doesn't offer enough value to make it worth the annoyances. Seriously. Why bother? No thanks.
Works great and fast response time. Great for troubleshooting slow net.
Too many ads and missing speed results such as how well speed would work for gaming, watching videos, etc. Also, rating is pretty high, many reviews are most likely fake.
This is really good app for internet speed testing but too many ads are disturbing !! App does it job in better way .. Only one suggestion to developer is can you pls add to find out which network is better in the area ??
Ur apps is good but way too many ads n too damn long showing the ads!!! Pls cut it short thanks.... yes is free but ur ads really too damn long n many!!!!
Terrible! Didn't get a chance to use the app, went straight into an add and wouldn't get past it without accepting something.
Too many ads. Do 1 speed test, you get an ad, sure its free but annoying you so you buy the offer for the app
App doesn't show real speed of my internet connection. I have download speed at 500 mbps, which I'm able to measure with any other speed test. This one increases slowly and finishes measuring at around 170 mbps. First measure it showed only 28 mbps. --- EDIT: The app should automatically choose best and closest server. According to the results, my speed was not even half of what I have. As I said, other speed test apps from competitors work more precise.
Fast and simpler UI with more features than any other speed test I've used over the years.
I understand the need for advertising, but yours are just too frequent and pervasive. Uninstalling
Good speed test app probably one of the only ones that allows you to do megabyte tests instead of always megabits like all the other ones. Ads are a bit annoying when you get into the app and after a speed test but pretty much everyone has ads so all in all I'd say it's good
I think it's great except for the advertising but I'm too cheap to pay for it myself so that's the price to pay for an outstanding App that checks the internet speed accurately and keeps a log for comparison!! Keep up the great work!!
I never was able to run a test. I kept getting the pop up to buy the $11 a year premium package. I finally dis get past all the buy pop ups, I was stuck on the agree to everything screen. I was not able to open the documents to see what I was agreeing to. I could not disagree even though disagree is written bow the agree button. App was uninstalled.
Just downloaded it nothing but a hard sell for the upgraded service and ads ads ads. And this is before I got a chance to even test my speed. I'm still trying to figure out how to test the speed but all I get is ads and a hard sell for the premium service. Do these knuckleheads think I'm going to pay for premium service if the free onedoesn't even work?
The pro version is very convenient to use. I use it several times a day for metered connections and gives just enough info when to download larger files. In the free version adds are too disturbing.
