It is a good app, but it doesn't cross platform for free. I should be able to use the app on my ipad without having to repurchase it. The Ipad version can be turned on automagic whereas Android app must be manually operated. The app is in Munster dialect and for its simplicity they could easily include all 3 dialects and allow you to select the dialect you would like. Also there is no contact information and you can't sign in so you can sync your account to other platforms for free.
Great app. I love the human voice giving the Irish translations. Another app I tried had a robotic voice horribly mispronouncing them. Still another had no text-to-voice for the Irish but did for the English--very unhelpful. The Nemo app is well organized and easy to use with lots of useful words and phrases.
Everything is good, it just needs to slow down just a bit, say the word slower and then say it at normal speed would be helpful. would love to have a few other words in here but so far this is the best app I have come across, and I have reviewed and looked it quite a few in the apps. Gaelic is definitely a language you need to hear to learn
Excellent app. Words and phrases clearly spoken and pronounced. Spellings also provided. Very useful for someone trying to pick up a little at a time.
Doesn't really offer too much on the free version. Not enough information to get a better understanding of the language. I would suggest adding some sort of verb conjugation interface.
So easy to use and quick to find the word or phrase needed. Best of all, there is audio so pronunciation is covered as well as translation.
I love this app!!! It has helped me alot worth learning the language. I have alot of fun using it , it is one of the only apps I actual bought to use all the features and I don't buy apps very often if at all. So if u want to learn Gaelic then I would definitely recommend this app!
It would be nice to slow down the pronunciation a bit, or be able to. And an explanation of the pronunciation would be handy.
I had a comment but it has gone ;-; anyways, im from Ireland meself and tbh there has been nó such thing as Yes or nó in irish and for newbies you should tell them were the verbs/Nouns/Adjectives/ETC goes because if you want to say eh "I am 25 years old" you would say "Tá mé fiche is a cúig bliana d'aois" as you can see theres far more words in it and the adjectives/nouns/verbs are all over the place YANNo so this is CLEAR Malarkey and its definitely used by Google translate
Fun, easy, great beginner tool. No grammar, just vocabulary, at least so far, but completely voiced with native speakers.
I can see the benefit of this app but there is a very major error. Irish language has NO word for yes and no. Unsure as to which region this dialect is from. Depending on where you are the words are very different in context.
This app is ok for learning to recognize words but weak on teaching pronunciation and understanding. It makes you rely on rote memorization which is a frustrating way to learn a language
I love I can hear the pronunciation. Great vocabulary, worth the extra features cost. Most effective tool. Love learning Irish!!!
Brilliant way to learn a new language. It's super useful to hear your own pronunciation back to back with the native one. And it's fun!
The app is not free. Minimum purchase is £6.23 . What is offered for a free download is a demo, with serious feature restrictions. It should be advertised as such. Saying that the product is FREE is misleading.
I find this app really useful, easy to use and versatile. It can suit total beginners and advanced learners. It has helped me a lot.
Great app, I have been using it for a year and I've learned quite a bit of the language. I am a bit slow when it comes to learning a new language, but this app is very helpful. You should try the other language apps Nemo has to offer
Its ok.. but very limited with the free version. If you pay $10.00 you get a lot more.. not sure if I want to pay for it...
I am using just the free version which is generous in how much it includes. I hope to visit Ireland and will buy the full version when I make those plans.
The accent, pronunciation, and cadence of the speakers are excellent.
Works great. only one issue I have... I paid for the full version and when I got a new phone it was gone.
This is Southern Irish app (mostly Munster) so a bit different if you practise it in conjunction with Ulster Irish but great for vocab.
happy very happy hopefully there will be expansion packs available but very easy to use teaching my two year old with it and brushing up
Very easy to use and quick to learn. Great app to learn at a pace good for you!!
It is such a fun and easy way to memorize, and it Evan gives you other cool ways to remember words.
The only real issue with this app is there is no option in settings to play the sound of the flashcard automatically. 1,387 cards you need to press play. Team this up with uTalk. If you got some nice headphones with a microphone built in for a reliable Windows laptop, maybe spring for a year of Rosetta Stone too.
