It works. I'll give it that. But their in-app purchase is a subscription that you can't cancel unless you are able to get ahold of them it seems. Don't install and get tricked into the subscription. Which they don't make very clear that it is. Update: it is a subscription, as my bank has been charged as TinyBytes twice now. No other company that I have purchased from is called that. I can't find anyway of cancelling either. Save your money.

My experience with this app has been very great very easy to install I understand how to use it and everyone should be able to use it because it's not hard at all very convenient because I always have my phone so using your phone to control your Roku has awesome

no volume on free other than that good. doesn't send me to ad then app store like some other roku apps. don't even hit ad or anything and it does it all on own so can't use. if this had volume i wouldn't have to use other one.

Do not use this app. I paid for all the features just to find out that they don't work. If I could get my money back that would be great cuz I am quite upset. Don't make the mistake I did. Download the REAL Roku app that comes with all the handy features that you are looking for.

claims my tv doesnt exist when i type in the ip adress even though i am lookin right at the tv and its on, also doesnt appear to have a headphone feature which is the ENTIRE reason im wantin a roku app, this app is just as junky and useless as all the others

My Roku remote control stopped working and I had used this app with my old Roku device. I found the app again and installed it. It works great very satisfied

Along with a nice interface and the ability to discover all connected Roku devices, it is my choice for controller.

WOW. Downloaded it and it worked immediately. I didn't wven have to tell it to connect, it just did it. But that's not even the best part. The best part is that this app is JUST A REMOTE! The first-party Roku app is clogged with useless junk, ads, and it has to rediscover your Roku device every time you open the app. This app is clean, simple, and works out of the box. Absolutely worth a few bucks to unlock pro features, simply to support this developer. Awesome job.

Excellent 👍 I am so impressed by how incredibly simple this app is to use. It is extremely responsive (unlike my Roku remote which isn't, and is a battery gobbler) You don't even have to point it at the Roku box. I have the free version and so far I have not seen one ad come up, only a request to try a paid version, but there's no pressure. I just hope they don't try to "revise" this app. It is an excellent app "as is."

Had it only a few days. So far, really useful. I hope I can trust it to continue to work! The touchpad went blank one day and I had to reinstall-- now OK except I still have to use my real remote to turn one of my Roku TVs on/off. Works fine on the other one. Not sure what is meant by "sound effects" so I leave them on. Can't find anywhere in the app to get explanations-- "Help" is not helpful for getting more specific info about this or other features.

This is one of those apps I should have tried before I buyed. While the concept is excellent, the app itself isn't. It controlled my Roku for 5 minutes then decided for whatever reason that it wouldn't. I got nothing but a constant pop-up that it wouldn't connect to my Roku. About 10% of the time it controls the volume and the rest it just gives that pop-up. Buying this app at this point is a mistake but hopefully it will improve in the future.

Pretty good app it responds fast to my touch and i like that. It works well. The only reason I rated it a 3 was because, It would connect and disconnect to my roku. This is really irritating therefore it got a 3. Another reason is I dont really understand the fees also. I bought the one for volume and turning the app on and off. The power button doesn't really work that well it only turns it off and not on. Dispite that it is a pretty good app.

Great until it wasn't, which was less than 24, hours after installing it. It impressed me at first. It needed no 'pairing' like most remotes do. Installed it and it worked perfectly. But this morning it said it couldn't connect to my Roku. I kept changing angles nothing helped. I decided to clear it's cache but it doesn't have a cache?. So I'm going to UNINSTALL it. Try another Roku remote app,till I can buy a new Roku.

My bad! Initially the app would not work with my Roku TV but that was my fault. After I got the app to work it turns out that it is easily the best Roku remote out there for your smartphone. Superior to the official Roku app. The closest you can get to a truly universal remote for your Roku TV. Great customer support as well! I highly recommend it!

The app is simple to use, and I haven't tried the other functions yet. It seems they would work well as your roku or tv is compatible with it. :) However, my problem is you have to pay for features that are free on the official Roku app. I understand paying for the features like the volume because the company needs a profit. But if you just want a Roku remote, I'd choose the remote made by Roku because you can quick change the channel by the channel list without having to pay.🙂

I love how convenient this app is. I swipe the app from my lock screen and the remote automatically pops up connected to the TV whereas the official Roku app makes you reconnect constantly and opens to a home screen. The voice feature doesn't work for me, but I'm not concerned about just that one thing. If I really want to use the voice feature U can open the official app, but I really haven't needed to with how easy Roku is to navigate.

THEY'VE PUT ADS ON IT I would have given it 5 stars because it was the only roku remote I've found that has worked as well as this and has no ads! But they just added ads to it!! Which is so annoying, when you're clicking about and looking at the TV an ad pops up which means you click on it and have to go back or if you see it you have to close the ad. It's so frustrating!!

Best Roku app out there! I tried one that played an ad after each button was pressed (within a very short lapse), and the "official" Roku remote app disconnected from my Roku device everytime I left the app (including when my phone would go to "sleep" mode after you leave it for a while). I will say though, this was the first app I tried and not having the keyboard is what made me try the other apps, but I came back, full circle, only to be in LOVE with this app!

lost my roku tv remote for a few days and wondered if I could find an app that could act as a stand in. tried a few that wouldn't work and then found this little guy tapped install and 10 seconds later I had a d-pad on my screan and could navigate through my TVs menus and apps no problem. as long as I was connected to the wifi I didn't even have to sync the tv. it just worked. now for the reason I didn't give it 5 stars. power button,volume buttons, roku channels are locked behind a pay wall.

Doesn't always connect. My phone is on the same network as my TV, yet sometimes the app doesn't work. I've tried turning Wi-Fi on and off, turning off the tv and turning it back on, restarting my phone, clearing app cache, etc. Nothing works and it doesn't connect. Then the next day or so it magically works again. I don't know what the issue is, but if they're gonna make you pay for basic features, they can at least make sure the app works properly.

Everytime I click the down button, it goes down and keeps going down and I cant stop it. Few times, I click a button and it continuously says "cant connect " It's a hassle and I cant deal with it. Thank god I just ordered a replacement remote but until then I downloaded the Roku app and that works amazing! Alot of work needs to be done with this app.

Unless you pay for every feature it's pretty crappy.If you go ahead and purchase it works pretty well. Wants you to add the IP address on your Roku, which you can't because you obviously need the remote to access it in settings. Also lags and sometimes the screen goes gray and have to close app and relaunch. Also had to restart my tablet once or twice to get it to work. I ordered a new Roku remote from Amazon for $6 so this'll work until it comes in. Wouldn't advise as a permanent solution.

I paid for the Pro Features because it said (Adjust volume, power, TV channels & input.) what it doesn't tell you until after you pay is that it only works on Roku TV and not any other kind of TV. The reason I paid for the pro features was to be able to control TV and roku with one remote. Don't like this app and will be trying to get a refund on the Pro Features.

Found this app to control my Roku TV and was instantly disappointed. They make you pay for features such as turning up or down the volume ($1.99) or switching to apps such as Netflix (an additional $1.99). Didn't take me long to find the actual Roku app, where all of those features are free and easily accessible.

I don't want to go around giving bad reviews, the app appears to be designed well. Honestly can't tell anything else because I can't use it. what am I supposed to do if the point of installing an app on my phone in to use for a remote. Of course this app uses wifi and needs ip address that is on the Roku TV, however I can't access that without a remote :(.

This is so great!! I only came across this after I found my Roku remote in my washing machine 😳 It's so easy to set up, i just opened the app and it did everything for me! I can't wait to use it this evening. I don't buy extras on apps but for the same price as a new remote (actually less), I might even buy the extra for the keyboard as that would make it even more easier to use. If I knew about this app before, I would of got it even when I had the remote. Less remotes around the house.

Suddenly the app can't find the TV. I refresh, uninsrall, reinstall, delete the ones found, yet it still can't find my TV when I'm RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT. FIX THIS!

Awesome app, especially for tablets. Trying to find a roku app that works well especially in landscape mode was proving difficult. The remote by roku doesn't support landscape plus has other features I wasn't looking for. This gives me all the control I want. Easily found both rokus in my house. I have a tablet mounted on the wall so I can control my smart home devices from one interface and wanted to add roku functionality to it. This was the app I landed on after trying several others.
