App is a great resource, not just for its scanner functionality, but also for the helpful privacy and security alerts/news/tips that the team regularly makes available. The scanner itself seems quick and comprehensive, without having a noticeable impact on system resources or on my phone's usability (to be fair, I don't run other apps alongside this one during scans). A slight glitch in the previous update made it impossible to use the app, but this was quickly fixed by the devs.
We purchased and paid for the app 4 times and emailed the owner 4 times but have not gotten a response back. Do not purchase . This is a scam
I just started using this app and it's performance is flawless in my experiences. Runs smooth and does offer a Pro which I will be purchasing. You don't have to upgrade as the app still offers and provides the security scans after a few ad videos unlike many who won't help for free. Get quality performance and security scans for free. I can't wait to see the Pro upgrade.
I've had this app for several years and it worked flawlessly. I don't know what's happening this app, when I run a scan at the end of the scan it shuts down. When I go through the menu and select tips, it shuts down. Because of these recurring problems I'm not even sure this app is doing what it's intended to do. If these issues are not resolved shortly I will be forced to search out another app. NOW IT WON'T SCAN YOU'VE GOT TO GET THIS SPPY TOGETHER!!¡!!!!!!NO YOU DIDN'T
It's great to find an app that does what it's supposed to and then some and it's a very fair price so everyone can use it. I like that the tips we get are useful to alit if people and simple to understand. For example, "you're info was leaked, here is where to go to get protections from that". So simple and could save a person years of trouble potentially. Thanks to the guys and girls who provided this app. Keep up the good work cause we need it!!
Does a thorough scan which I truly appreciate. Every picture, file, chat, app etc. Straightforward response and advice once done. I have no issues with the ads that are shown while I wait for the results. I simply let the scanner do it's job in the background while I do other things. Kudos to the developers for this unexpected app. Recommended.
Doesn't work. After scanning, it gives three options to view the results, upgrade, make a small payment each time you perform a scan, or watch an advert. I tried the advert option. It loaded the advert but nothing played - and nothing else happened at all. I tried twice. Rubbish.
Not as intrusive as I thought it would be. The tips that do pop up are actually useful, and the app itself seems to work as intended. I've only had it for a short time, but am very pleased with its overall design and performance. My thanks to the devs. Edit-2 years later, and I love it! It does exactly what it says it will do. Plus, the devs stay on top of the latest news in the field and often gets alerts out before the affected companies do. I appreciate their continued hard work and efforts.
I have enjoyed this app since it's beginning on GP. They have helped me become more conscious about my privacy. Loved when the tips were added and how to resolve issues. The non pro version has ads understandably but I believe it to be a little inconvince for all the protection handed to you. The Pro version is so much nicer for me, due to memory issues in that there are no ads and you can schedule your scans.
Ads. Ads ads ads ads ads ads ads ads ads. Open app? Ad. Start a scan? Ad. Minimize the app? Watch another ad and restart your scan from 0%. Scan finally finished? Watch an ad to see the results. Not to mention they use pop-up video ads with timers and volume on. Once upon a time, this app was actually good and useful. Now, it's just a cash factory. They literally call the scan results a "reward." Don't even bother installing this junk.
This app is the best! It is super easy to use, and I just love it. The extras ... such as warnings about money stealing apps that you need to avoid / delete ... Have saved me from potential disasters on more than one occasion. I recommend Incognito to everyone . If you don't have / use Incognito you should. It helps me and it can help you too. I'm not security expert, so I can't speak to incognito's detection rate and accuracy; but I feel better knowing I have it on my phone. Well reviewed, I've been using it for over a year now I think. The scan takes while, I don't have a high end phone; so far no detections. The tips, alerts, and other info accessible from within the app are very helpful; with sharing options. The ads are not a menace. I would be curious to see commercial testing for detection rates. But I would get this app!
works well. you need to be patient with ads if you don't pay for app. UPDATE. I have paid subscription that hasn't worked since April 2021 update. I've reported twice but no resolution. Very disappointed almost 4 months of non- functionality for scanning. It's the same greyed-out permission problem everyone has. It's shocking, really that this issue hasn't been resolved.
A great app that has helped me keep my phone safe and secure. Absolutely love the privacy tips, very timely and informative! I use this app with Avast Antivirus (I use the paid Pro version of Avast), and my phone has never had an issue. My only complaints is that it is unclear if Incognito Pro ($1.99) is a recurring payment or one-time purchase. I'd also like to see the option of choosing a time for the automatic scan with the Pro version. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this app.
I've learned so much from this app. Been using the free version aboit 2 years or more now. Learning how to encrypt my phone and other features about my phone. That i need a recent version of upgrade to keep it all in working order. Learning about which routers are safe and which one arent. What apps are dangerous or safe. I could go on and on about the benefits. Seriously considering the upgrade version of Inconito. Thanks for the education you are providing. As far as ads, I'm ok with that.
Hasn't worked for months now. Scanner doesn't work as you need to give permission to access of the files, which is grayed out. People been having the same problem but nothing is being done about it. But you send me on a daily basis your blog messages. I'm done with you guys. No need to have a scanner app that doesn't scan. Uninstalled! Bought a subscription in September and as of today I get lots of annoying ads! Way to go! You set my account back to basic!
Used to be one of the best, free app and was scanning great until recently. As with others, I kept getting asked to access to files yet it is disabled. I now believe this is an attempt to make us go pro. I can only hope there's a bug issue and not what I suspect... Update: this issue has been resolved and is back at its best, so rating has reverted back.
Way too many ads and conditions for use. Used to be better, with fewer ads and the ability to scan every day (as a preset). The ads deter me from using it very often now. In response to the developer: this is incorrect, and I am using the most recent version. I have been using this app for years and it never used to make me watch ads to get results or to even access the scan. I use the free version. I have not encountered another app with such requirements before. It's intrusive.
I have the pro version and about two months ago the scanner stopped working. The app says it's a file permission issue, but Incognito has full access to my files. I sent in a support ticket a few weeks ago with screenshots and the response I've received several times says "is your issue fixed?". I replied "no" several times and have yet to get any assistance. I won't be renewing my subscription because this is unacceptable.
I really like it,has helped me greatly get to the core issues with my phone. I will recommed to anyone who is having issues, still in love with the app appreciate not having to worry.
