Free Tethering Unlocker *ROOT*

IT ACTUALLY WORKED!! This was my last attempt to find a way to enable my hotspot. My phone is rooted and usually I can find a way around most restrictions. But recently I switched to a new carrier that blocked my hotspot after 10gb. I'm actually in shock that after extensive Google searches, several failed apps, this app was the easiest by far and my hotspot is working and stable. Thank you so much!

Works fine on my phone. You must remember not to have wifi or hotspot or VPN running before using this app. you must let it ask you to turn on hotspot. Turning on hotspot before using this app will cause it not to work. My phone is Galaxy S8 plus on ATT. It works with USB as well as a wifi hotspot. also once the hotspot is switched on the app will quickly turn it off. Dont be fooled and wait for the app to turn hotspot back on. Edit: DOES NOT GIVE UNLIMITED TETHERING CAPABILITY ON MY PHONE.

To my surprise, it worked!

Works great on my nexus 4 on the T-Mobile network just make sure to download busybox free in the app store and if you are using a laptop use chrome and the extension called user agent switcher. I'm not paying 15 dallas a month for tethering will be sure to buy full version soon I promise

I have an unlocked and rooted Nexus 5 on Sprint. This app works like a charm to unlock the tethering. It took me a little while to realize that other apps which let me configure my hotspot and toggle it merely let my laptop see and connect to my phone, but couldn't see the internet until I ALSO used this to unlock the tethering.

This app works great. I've been trying to find an app just like this for a long time since I've been using my iPhone since i couldn't find it for the Android. (Pdanet) what it does makes the tethering its own app so if you check your data usage the tethering and portable hotspot app will be its own app just like any other app thus means it bypasses the tethering check. You need your device to be rooted, and that's about it. (Supersu, superuser, kinguser) I'm using a One Plus One...

Sorry. I know in the discription it says dont put a 1* review and to send you a report but it didnt say where to send it so the reports going to have to be here I'm afraid. I installed it. It asked for Busybox to make it work so I downloaded that too. I was able to press the Unlock button and then it worked apparently. So I decided to use up all my tethering allowance to see if the tethering was unlocked/bypassed. It wasnt. My network is now sending me the usual texts saying to buy extra tethering allowance

I was looking for a tethering app for my rooted phone and used a lot of different ones before but none of them seemed to work, so when I saw this app, I decided to give it a try. When I installed this app, I tried to unlock it the first time, but I still got the wireless tether block message on my phone. So I decided to restart my phone and try it a second time. However, this time, I clicked the "unlock tethering" button twice. Now I can tether my phone using the stock tethering app. I am happy. :)

Thank you for this wonderful app. I would love to support you in whatever way I can. Unfortunately, I do not currently have a means to get my money online. I am a college student on disability and I have a payee so I am not in charge of my own money. I wanted to let you know that there is a typo in v1.0.17. it is right above the "Upgrade to donate edition" button. The word tethering is spelled "thetering." I am rooted but still had trouble with Wi-Fi tethering apps thanks to the latest OTA update (D80020y). Now I can bypass AT&T's verification and use the built-in hotspot functionality.

I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S4 SGH-M919 device. I have it rooted. It is running Android 4.4.4. The app says that tethering is unlocked but when you enable the tethering on the phone (USB or Hotspot) I still get the dreaded message from T-Mobile blocking the access. I did what the author suggested in that I tried using Google Chrome on my laptop using the Switch Agent add-on and tried several different agents including IE7 as the authors comments suggested and unfortunately it seems that this app does not work.

I can't use it. I just got this HTC u11 last week it's asking me to install busybox. But when I try installing it I get a error message. I know busybox was pretty good on Android 2.3 but this HTC 7.1.1 refuse to let busybox install "update" I was able to get busybox but it said it doesn't have the user interface for this device. Uninstall

3 stars for effort. However it still does not work on my Verizon Galaxy S4. My phone is rooted and it said it unlocked, but when I go to turn it on, it keeps checking Verizon Subscription status and gets an error as before. I tried both Wifi hotspot and Bluetooth and both wont work.

In all the years that I have had in android I have never bothered to leave a comment, this will be the exception. I recently bought a KitKat tablet which broke pdanet and I was unable to tether my phone. Your product has enabled me once again to have connectivity between my devices. I have no idea how it works because the data usage doesn't seem to be showing for either my phone or the wifi tether but it works. . Kudos to you sir for creating an outstanding application.

It works perfectly on my rooted Samsung note 3 from T-Mobile, I recently changed the carrier from t-mobile to lycamobile. And this is the only one really working on my phone, and easy to use, I will purchase the upgrade version if I can keep using it.after a week. Thank you so much<3 100000% recommended!!!

I was wondering with the exodus rom I'm currently using (5.0.2), when someone is connected to my device it says not connected in my notifications but they are and everything works fine. I flashed a whole lot of roms and with other roms when people connect to my hotspot it will say that the device is connected? Appreciate your time in reading this.

Hi, i am using Sch1535 from Verizone. When i try to open this app it gives me a warning that we are not reponsible for any damage..do it in your own responsibility. So i am afraid of opening it. Is that safe to use? Plz help me i deaperatly need a tethering app as here in Pakistan verizone's services are not available and i just dont want to sell my phone for this reason.

Just says one sec and does nothing - when you press the back button it just force closes - moto g 4g android 5.1

It asks for an awful lot of permission s tho. And it directs to the wrong tethering setting page on sgs5 4.4.2

Decent app. Would give a higher rating if it actually worked on my Sprint S4. It starts the tether, but is quickly disconnected and left with a "would you like to subscribe to hot spot" message.

This app has alot of potential. Thing is, it isnt working for me. Using an ATT (network unlocked) lg optimus e970. Please help

Rooted LG G2 Verizon. Will not activate hotspot. Constantly getting subscription page over and over.

Is there a list of devices this app works on? Does anyone ever read the comments? I own a properly rooted Galaxy S5 Sprint and this app in combination with the proper busybox app does NOT work at all. Although it says "Tethering Unlocked" my tethering app asks me to subscribe to the right services for operation of the tethering option. Why is this not working for me?
