Unusable junk. As others have complained, it sits there saying "finding direction..!" but never working. You can't cancel it and retry either. It gets stuck there forever. You have to just close/kill the program and start over. The ads are annoying but typical for such a low effort, ad revenue hungry, free app. It has typos all over the place, such as "Widtht" in the truck info entry screen. It's only using the metric system which is problematic for Americans, like it or not. You can only enter whole numbers into the data fields, despite a decimal key being there, so you have to over or underestimate your dimensions by a lot. Don't waste your time, much less money.
The sleekest part of the app is how well the ads run. I was having trouble with in app routing so I set in app truck specs. The highest weight it would allow me to enter is 30 tons, the max height was 13 feet. Then as soon as I pushed navigate it opened up in google maps. Don't waste your time drivers. I'm uninstalling as soon as I'm done with review
5 Nov 2019: The Decimal point seems to have been fixed. 6 May 2020: Max height only 4 metres?, Max weight only 30 Ton?, No travel via option when calculated route is not good enough? When setting a starting point it randomly places the marker elsewhere. Opens route in Google maps which can get rerouted by Google. Truck drivers beware, this is very dangerous. Uninstalled until this app gets a serious overhaul.
Free Truck GPS Navigation is great. I love the UI, it has many tools that I need and has a lot of features. I hope they will add more advance feature in the future.
Just installed,a bit worried because it took me to Google maps! With a 73 ' vehicle , Google will take you to suburban streets (illegal for trucks) I don't trust it. Will not allow accurate input on vehicle size for navigation purposes. 73' long , 13'6" tall,40,000 pounds.. All not allowed
The whole point of using a "truck navigation " app is to be able to use for a truck- not car. Commercial vehicles are not allowed on certain roads or parkways. All this app does is connect with the regular Google maps app that I already use. Commercial drivers cannot use this app.
Wow free truck GPS is really amazing. It has everything I need, now I can explore many places easily. Just choose the places near you that you wanna go, it will show you how to go there and that's jt. Very smart app and easy to use. Thank you.
This is a good GPS navigation tool. It has different features for navigation, I particularly enjoyed the weather integration. Helpful!
Free truck GPS is super convenient and easy to use. I can find any places I want and it can take you to anywhere you wish. Just type the address you want or the nearby places you desire, you will be there soon. So far so good. Highly recommend it.
App is dysfunctional it puts in the destination as the starting point and you can't change it. Won't allow you to put a size of a semi on measurements. Please fix thanks
Rubbish, as said before, it calculate a route then when you start navigation, it opens Google maps and gives you a standard route. Thanks for nothing, let's hope I don't hit a bridge!
Stay away truckers. 30t maximum. What's the point in a truck sat nav that doesnt work for half the trucks on the road. It just links to google maps. Day 1 it took my 26t straight down a road that a 3.5t would struggle. I had to reverse quarter mile out on to a busy road in Bristol. Dont risk it with this app
Great App!!! It has the car , walking,and Bicycle But NOT a Big Truck Diagram..and sometimes it will take you on the Back Roads..That can be bad..other than that; it's a Great app...Also you can't check to upgrade..
So so, I am looking for a gps app that you can us long, and lat. But this one won't let you. So I hope I can find one soon. I didn't get to use it because I get coordinates and this doesn't let you use coordinates, plus to many ads!!!
Is it normal for the map to change over to Google maps? Will the App still apply the settings made to the selected vehicle in terms of weight,height,length and width?
Total scam... All it does is act as a middle man between the user and Google maps.. It does NOT calculate routes for a truck and its full of adds... Shouldn't be in Google play store.
I thought this was a TRUCK apt when I start to navigate it takes me to google maps ..which I have anyway ..am I doing something wrong ..as I thought this was routes for Trucks ..weight size and height ... so I guess I dont need this ..and it takes you down roads you Will have problems with if you drive a large 15.5 meter truck and trailer ..
First search sent me off truck route on side streets instead of a less direct route. Which I got a ticket for and why I'm searching for an app. The one thing it needs to do it doesn't.
Every truck driver should have this GPS Navigation. Great features, easy to find fastest routes, services and so much more!
Switches over to Google maps. Not for truck drivers. Tried to send me on a restricted road that is illegal for trucks to be on. Natchez Parkway does not allow semi's. Do not use this app if you are a commercial driver
Good map app for me to use. It meets my expectations. No matter the design or function, it's good enough to me.
Ughhhh the worst!! I entered the truck measurements, that it's a trailer. 18 wheeler... It is still taking me thru 9 feet bridge, when the truck is obviously taller than that. Useless!! Most useless!!
Uninstalled app before using it for 1 reason. As a car hauler I need to be able to input my height in feet and inches (not one or the other).
No decimal point available as stated by another reviewer, recent update has NOT fixed the problem despite the developer stating they had fixed it. Please Google put a truck mode in google maps???
Basically it's google maps with adverts. It will take you through low bridges... Weight limits. Don't install
I have been using this app for about a month now. It's pretty good, to say the least. My only problem is that it never warns me about low bridges, and Restricted streets. I had two very near misses of getting caught under a low bridge. Thank God I was paying attention because there was no sign or warning. There were several streets I almost turned on, again I caught it. Please fix this issue and this will, hands down, be the best free truck gps app.
