Very useful, very smooth, very fast also, and it helps me out a ton when wanting to purchase a car, or even looking at my own cars history. Has several different useful things including: -Your cars value, -Estimated mileage for the car, -The typical time it takes to sell a vehicle, -Free theft, and recall check, -Shows how many times it has been listed for sale, -Shows you the specs of the car, -Safety ratings, Also has a scanner so you can easily add a VIN number. And much, much more inapp
Its a great to have app for my business but it seems to have changed a little on the vehicle history section on the platform. It use to provide more info. And I pay monthly ( for over a year)so it's a little irritating. But all around its a good tool.
Carfax asked me what comfort package my car had using the sell feature. I looked it up on iSeeCars and going down the list: i do not have fog lights, Automatic Emergency Braking or an Infotainment Center as the iSeeCars report suggested. I considered the app very accurate but now not as much the scan problem is not current i have no data at this time
Cars are a hobby for me. I'm constantly looking, comparing, and researching. This is, by far, the most useful VIN lookup tool around. It collects the most useful information and provided links to important info like recalls. I use the free version and have no issues.
Truly not worth it. Good idea, but lacking in other parts. You really dont get much of the sales history or condition. Plus to get any real records, it's just a link to CARFAX anyways, and most of us come here to try and get a free history of our cars. You still have to pay real money in the end to see what you downloaded this app for anyways. Even though the reviews say its good, and the app people respond to negative comments like this and say "everyone else likes it", it doesnt take away the FACT that you still will always pay with your own money to get a real car report with its real history, instead of this app simply telling what engine and color, and how much they guestimate its worth based off of statistics. Bottom line, you always have to pay for the real thing.
Best data In the market - only comparable outfit is CarGurus. They are more accurate though sometimes because you don't have the option to specify non-VIN related options like manual transmission for VIN based values. For instance 2005-2006 Pontiac GTOs or a Chevy SS command 10-20% higher price with a manual transmission, much more than the original option cost ($695 in the GTOs case). You should factor this in - don't make the mistake of just depreciating the original option cost.
Awesome app when looking at & buying vehicles. Free. Good info. Only way it could be better is free Carfax -even if just a simple version showing basic history. Good when selling also as you can easily see how much your car is worth based on vin & input current mileage. Very good app. Highly recommend!
It's ok except when I try and change the spec it goes right back to what they feel milage should be be cause of its age. I'm the owner and I'm trying input the correct milage. It's 30,000 miles more than the actual miles. Plus 2-3 interior specs are inncorrect also. Other than that it's accurate 75/100
Best app there is to check out the full history of almost any vehicle. Any information you want to know, It provides performance specs, unbiased analysis with true up to date market value, depreciation values not for just 1 year but up to 5 years. There are so much information you can get from this app that all i can say is download it. Its free, Highly recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a vehicle or just to scope out your current ride.
FREE VIN check - really! Don't get suckered into paying for VIN checks; this app is so simple ... just plug in the number and you'll get the report! Market value, specs and features, nationwide inventory check; this app really does have it all. Also has links for detailed CARFAX/Autolink type reports bit these require payment ? (I think you might get the first couple of reports free though).
This app is great, really helpful. One can see all about your vehicle comes with in detail. Just by plugging in your Vin number. I truly recommend this app. Especially if you ever need to sell or buy a vehicle or if you get into an accident and disagree with your insurance vehicle estimators. Once again a great tool to have in your phone.
It gives generic information for similar vehicles. I checked a car sold in my area, allegedly for $700. It doesn't run, start, or even crank. It had 208,000 miles when it was registered two years ago, but the app suggested that it had 166,874 miles, based on some average miles driven per year for an Accord, and said that it was worth $3,632, apparently based on a national average of similar cars on their website.
I learned of recalls that I did not know my vehicle had and I plan on getting those recalls fixed as soon as possible. this app was very helpful in all that I was asking it of. To add to this I have two other recalls one from 2011 witch was before I got it was wondering if it got done and the other was was from 2016 in witch did not get a notice for that recall. how can I get info the one from 2011 to see if it got done and can I get both done with no out-of-pocket expense.
Entered the VIN and got basic info that is widely available on the net so nothing special there. Under the configuration drop down the vehicle I was looking up wasn't listed. It got, however, show configurations that I didn't even know existed. Ghost Special Edition. Ignition Special Edition. I'll be Googling those later. Also gave me a bunch of estimations which, tbh aren't worth a damn anyway because the car has 40k miles and not 100+ it estimated for a 2010. I had high hopes. 😕
I like how data are arranged and displayed, especially the listed time. However, it would be great to explain where the data is from. for example, it gives a new car VIN an estimated mileage of 2,708 and not listing info. What is this data based on, the manufacturer date?
FINALLY ! I just spent over TWO HOURS trying to find an INFORMATIVE VIN decoder...AGAIN ! THIS DECODER IS BY FAR ABOVE AND BEYOND ANY of the others I just spent 2+ hours researching....REALLY ! 99.9% of each vehicles fingerprint IMMEDIATELY DISPLAYS....AMAZING ! If you need the information found on a vehicle's ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER then I CANNOT emphasize enough that THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE !! Hats off to the AWESOME developer(s)..You DEFINITELY HIT THE NAIL RIGHT ON IT'S HEAD ! THANK YOU !
at first it worked great, then they wanted a email address and password and such. Entered a valid email and it said it was invalid. if it's supposed to be free why do they need a email address? then on this review with a want so many characters before posting well I'm not like most people and talk of a storm. when you can make it free and not require a email address or password. it would be nice cuz all I need to do is punch an event on my phone and it worked great and when it did. I guess I'll j
free VIN report has been an invaluable tool for me while looking for a car! not only do they give you like a Carfax report, they also give you a rundown of all the specs and comfort items that come with in the car! instead of having to go to 5 different places to find out everything I wanted to know about the car free VIN check had it right there! I will definitely looking for my next car to purchase!
I am looking for Lexuses, and this app is so much help. I can save my vin lookups and can go back and look at cars I already got info on instead of looking over same cars. The app is do easy to use. You also get free carfax. The app is fast and smooth. love it, I recommend it.
Typed the vin, hit enter, and it has all the info i needed right in the app, it does use links for carfax if you care about it. Plus, I didn't see any ads, overall great app. Good job.
it's pretty good at the information except the information is not up to date by at least owners and the car is registered in Utah, I know this cause ive had the car since Oct 2018 but that's probably not the app's fault, it's linked to carfax info so I guess carfax needs to catch up. overall good app
Used to be great. Then... money. They modernized the platform to where they lock the info that ALL used to be free to a subscription based service. And it says you can get 5 free lookups when you sign up but then I did that and it STILL says something like (Due to high volume bla bla.. pay.) to BLOCK you from crucial info that you NEED. Its all love. Peace
Great app! . . . Give me the specs on the car by the VIN number, and a whole lot more. Would recommend! . . . Would like to see the "In Service Date" included in the information provided by the app. to know if the car is still under factory warranty. Maybe the developers can include this information in the future.
Detailed information about a vehicle that's amazingly simple to access on this app! Truly, this is the best VIN lookup app for Android. Tried others, none of which comes close to this one! I appreciate the ability to save my vehicle information within the app for future reference! Great job!
Great app for finding out value of vehicle as well as detailed info on every car including recalls. One of my must have apps!! Highly recommend anyone buying or selling a vehicle. All the info and more than you will ever need!!
I am updating my review because I purchased a vehicle from someone. And about a week later the cops were at my door put my boyfriend in handcuffs and everything. The person we bought it from gave us the key, I got a bill of sale because they lost the title but they had the correct registration, the tabs were good, and I checked this and many other sites that all said it was not reported stolen..so I am just out the money I paid for the vehicle which sucks. Where do yall get your info from?
I love this app! By far the best free vin check app I've used... and I've tried a lot. All of the info you want to know about a car in 1 app... and if the info isn't in the app then there's links within the app that will take you to the pages online to find the rest. Hands down best app in its class! Good job!
Great app. Really love that even with the free version you can save the vin #'s looked up to go back later and review. Very informative as well for every vehicle I've looked up so far.
great so far - my daughter bought a car but we are having a problem getting a title from an out of state owner -- so the dealer says -- he thought the car was a 2004 but it turned out to be a 2006. i think he wants it back, and is giving us BS stories, we don't know what to do?? btw--- great app. 😎 ps. do you have any advice?
Been using this off and on for about 2 years while casually looking. It had been a wonderful tool, and has as good, and most times better, information than any other free service. Sure, there are things that you could change here and there, but for a quick, easy, and FREE check on the go, it's been practically invaluable.
