Free Wifi Hotspot Portable

That was a waste of 10 whole minutes I'll never get back. And I know something or 2 about hotspots, operations and phone sharing. This app just wasted my time installing, setting up, trying different maneuvers to make work, realizing app is piece of cow dung, reviewing (the least I could do for their sterling usefulness), and uninstalling. Almost a new record for me, 9.39minutes.

My phone's hotspot function stopped working , so I figured an app might help get that back. But it doesn't, not this one anyway. All it does is rename your phone on Wi-Fi detection and creates a password at random. It seems only to use your own Wi-Fi hotspot function on your phone, instead of functioning as an independent router. It sounds to me like someone is just making this app to earn money from the stupid ads that are on it! If I find an app that actually works I'll let everyone know.

Definitely would not recommend this app. I have installed several times and each time it fails to work correctly. Yes it creates a Wi-Fi hotspot. Yes other devices are able to connect to the WiFi hotspot. But a big FAIL for internet access for all device types that connect. Totally disappointed

The app is great, i was able to create a free hotspot with no problem but one day it just stopped working without warning and everytime i tried turning it on again nothing would happen. I tried re-installing the app multiple times, that didn't help. Im not sure if it has anything to do with the android version i have or if it had something to do with updating the app, but i would really appreciate it if someone found a solution to this problem

I read some of the older reviews that said this app doesnt work after I posted mine and was surprised, my guess is their phone either isn't compatible or the developers have fixed any issues. I'm using a galaxy tab 8 in other words OLD and I'm amazed this actually works and without a bunch of hassle. I installed it and hit the button and it WORKS!!! Literally tried 20 different apps at least that didn't work before I found this one. I'm impressed. Please don't change this app!!!

My cable was disconnected for non payment. Iv been using it to watch YouTube on my smart TV without a hitch.All night all day. I love it. But is there a time whereby d signal will have to slow down? The only problem atimes is, if u disconnect it,It cldnt take a while to properly connect so u guys that are having issues with it should just keep trying to connect. N when it does, it stays on

Well it works as a hotspot. However with Metro by T-Mobile.... If you don't have a hot spot plan.... This app will connect WITHOUT INTERNET. 2 stars..It connects, but with no internet it is useless to me.

This doesn't work at all. The wifi hotspot signal cannot be found on any device. (Ps4, tv, laptop, cell phones, tablet, firetv box, or ruku box. This app is trash and a waste of my time. Do not waste your time with this app. Thank me later

I tried this with my ZTE to share my data on my daughter tablet and it worked perfectly!!! I was even able to add a password so no one else could use my data. I am very happy, it's hard for me to find apps that actually do what they are supposed too do.

Well so far so good.. Just moved, don't have Wi-Fi or cable yet, downloaded this, connected my smart tv & was able to watch some tv for the time being. I am curious about 1 thing. I'm a straight talk customer (phone plane $45) my phone don't have hotspot which is why I downloaded this. I'm curious how much data it uses while in use. Like if im using my tv off it, how much tv can I watch b4 it eats up all my data? I know when hotspot comes on a phone already & you use it for tv, it uses a lot of data, but what about this app? Please help!?

I've never had a problem with this app; it works perfectly. The new notification update, though, is incredibly annoying. Why would anybody want this?! at least let me swipe it away. its just. sitting there. inexplicably infuriating. i have to delete it now

not a good experience. installed this over a working stock Android hotspot, as a friend's phone could not connect (although my laptop worked fine). it didn't set the password even though specified (it made an open network) and the network didn't work. worse, since it made a system change, i cannot undo this, and i now have a non functioning Android hotspot ( as on my phone, i cannot set the password from stock build (ZTE Axon 7).

This app is terrible, at least in my experience. All it does is TURN MY WIFI OFF. And thats it. I know my device is fully capable of broadcasting a WIFI hotspot, but all i wanted from this app was to make using WIFI hotspots more convenient, and it failed.

The problem with this app is that it does not allow you to secure the hotspot with a password. This leaves your hotspot open. If you can live with that then this app is fine, sadly I cannot. The app misleads by suggesting the hotspot can be secured, but in reality it does not allow you to secure anything.

I used it several times and it has always worked well. Once I was in a rural area with no service needing directions, it worked for me! Then here recently, the hurricane took our power, cable and WiFi for a week. It only works for about an hour at a time, but it works. I was very thankful.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I can stream video on my IPad with it, most of the time, I can't. It has allowed me to work remotely and that's a big plus, but if it weren't free, I'd be dissatisfied with its consistency.

it never worked as a stand-alone. When I tried to connect another phone, it said "The internet is unavailable with [this wifi]." It didn't even work as wifi for the phone I installed it on.

Gave this app a shot, but doesn't work for me at all. Turned it on and nothing would show up on my computer to connect it to. Even tried entering the SSID manually and it still couldn't find it.

For me, this app is rhe best I've ever seen. I love it verry much and recommend it to anyone. I travel all over the country and use this app to keep all my other devices on line from my phone. It work with excelent results. Go for it, and I believe you'll love too

This app doesn't work, it just says it's on but my pc cannot find it, it constantly telling me to rate 5 stars, but why, if the app is not doing what it supposed to do? There are no technical settings of the sort, just set your wifi name and password, should be easy right? Wrong!

This app contained only just the username and password areas to type in, yet after I chose the username and password I wanted but it never showed up on my "Smart-TV." These type of apps should work properly and professionally accurately upon download. Do not download this app people unless you want your information taken from you.

So it doesn't even give you free hotspot wants you to turn on your hotspot which i cannot do jut to get the name and the password I don't understand this app at all waste of time!!

Does nothing but turn on android hot-spot. Doesn't add any functionality. Was hoping it would at least let me manage connected devices (since android removed this feature from stock os) but no. Literally no point to this app.

it works.. but it's not secure... even though on the app there is an option to make it secure . I have it set on wpa2 and it's on my PlayStation it says "none" below security... let me know when you fix it and maybe I'll give you more stars
