Edit: Somehow the app finished my registration a few days later. It somehow remembered the credit card information I tried to enter a few days ago. Email support never emailed me back, it just started working. However, the app does not display payment details or provide any way to change payment methods so it was really confusing if it had my credit card or not. Anyway, after getting registered, the app worked perfectly and it was really convenient to use the car. The prices seem fair.
I would know, if the app actually worked. I couldn't get past the add payment option after trying two different cards. I called customer support and was sent to voicemail. Called a second time and the guy who answered was weirdly unprofessional. I was excited to try, but the overly complicated process of just trying to get it started is bummy.
This app is very inefficient. I used it on a daily and if you park your car in DC and your parking spot becomes a ticketed area a day after. You will be charged if no one picks up that car within 12 hours and then gets a ticket they will charge you the ticket! They do not have it in their agreement and they have horrible customer service and a terrible chain of command established.
Wonky app that doesnt work properly. A reservation I had ended was restarted after I was finished. Didnt find out until 2 days later and someone had racked up 200+ dollars of charges on my account. Getting customer service to address my complaints and issue a refund of the trip I didnt take has been slow. They keep saying they will call me back after talking to a manager and never do.
I like the ease of keyless car sharing. So far, the main drawback I've experienced is that their team is not responsive. I've sent several emails with questions and have not gotten any replies. I would love to connect with someone in customer service. I don't understand why I haven't received a reply to email I sent a month ago. Their competition is quick to reply and give credits when I have experienced a discrepancy. As of 8.24.19 STILL no response to my email.
Very poorly designed app. You choose when to take pics of a license, and it auto crops perfectly. But for some DUMB reason you have to blink and hope it recognizes your face for a selfie before you can finish registering. Contacted for support, they literally just said, try tiling your phone. Really helpful...
Horrible app that makes using service impossible. For nearly a year I was unable to change my payment method over the app or the phone (they told me I could come to their DC office). When the app was updated to allow new payment info and I followed up with Support, they said a suspension on my account would be removed in 10 minutes but it's still there days later. If Car2go were still here I'd happily use that but unfortunately this is the only option in DC now.
Was excited to use this considering car2go is leaving North America. Car2go was really the gold standard. This company is garbage. Uses an opaque third party system to verify information. Unreliable and refuses to explain the process. Impossible to sign up for an account with credit card information and then they won't explain why they've declined application. Good luck getting someone on the phone to speak with, too. Two massive thumbs down.
You get charged for the highest rate with no prorating and this is never made clear. It's $20 for three hours and $50 for six. I had the car for three hours and four minutes and got charged $50. You should be able to see your current fare in the app at all times. I could have kept the car for three more hours for the same price if either the policy was clear or the app told you the fare.
Until recently my experience has been great. Here lately the cars have been filthy on the inside and seats covered in pet hair. Today the app ended my trip on its own, I still have things inside, I was keeping it 24hrs and was charged the full amount for a day. I wasn't finished with it yet! Tried calling and after 20mins on hold I entered the return call service and still nothing back.
Edit* I did love this service. However, over the last week and a half, I've tried to rent a car, reserved it, walked to it and the car didn't exist. As in it showed on the GPS, live, I was standing next to a ghost car. Getting pretty pissed of at this service. I went back to Uber and Lyft. *** Few years ago . I definitely prefer this over those stupid smart cars from cars to go. Plus Way cheaper by the hour.
The app used to work fine but for some reason I cannot login to my account Ichanged my password twice uninstalled and reinstalled. I spoke with customer service reps 4 times each time they tell me they are going to escalate this matter and will get it done within 24 hours or the next morning or this afternoon still no call backs, no follow ups. Nothing. Terrible customer service. If this is how you handle things I don't know if I can rely on this app for anything and I will soon be uninstalling.
I was approved for use but every time I've tried to log in it keeps saying my review is still pending. I called and emailed customer service for 2 hours before I was able to get a hold of anyone and they still couldn't help me. App seems to have issues.
Bugs in the app prevent me from creating an account, and customer service was unable to help me. Months later I tried again, hoping they had fixed the bugs, but no, it's still broken.
can't even get past the selfie part to try to sign up.. seriously wait for the green circle to turn to an oval then blink??? it never turns to an oval. I'm sitting here for 30 min waiting for the retarded design to work. fix that and I'll go from there butc way to frustrating. all for a selfie. why won't it let me use my own camera? Wack! no stars of i could!
Excellent customer service, easy to find and use the cars. Compared to Car2Go 's Mercedes, these are pretty basic, but otherwise, terrific option.
Terrible service. Haven't been able to use the service for a week and can't get a hold of anyone to help resolve the issue. Just getting sent to voice-mail and no one returns any calls.
Car illegally parked at washington national cathedral. Have to leave a 1 star review, since they havent bothered to include any way to contact them either in the app or online to get the car moved. Seriously email, phone number.... any of those would work
Enjoy another option for car sharing. The cars are very nice and the amenities are a nice touch (Blu tooth, wi fi, Android auto, etc...)
It's frustrating that I can't reach customer service for a billing question. When I tried to enter my credit card information, I get a message stating that the card was invalid, which is wrong because the card is active. But, I can't talk to someone live. That's just ridiculous.
Glitch in app will not let me complete sign up. Contacts with support have gone unanswered. Can't use their services, can't spend money. Seems like exactly the opposite of what you build a company to do
I had difficulties with the unlocking of the first car that I reserved call the company they were not able to do it either it's because the car was parked in the area where there is no internet service I had to walk around the neighborhood at night in the cold trying to find another car I did find another one after that it was okay the next morning I had trouble unlocking the car call the company spoke to San Juan it took about 20 minutes but it was taken care of
The app refuses to accept my credit card information, so I have not been able to register. Tried with two cards, multiple times. Emailed support, we'll see if I hear back.
Smooth unlocking and locking. Easy to make a reservation. Cars are maintained and cleaned regularly.
Impossible the register on app. Won't take selfie or payment details. Pretty basic if you actually want customers to sign up.
Outstanding carsharing application. Perfectly convenient. Takes all the complicated steps out of the process--feels like my own car.
im trying to get help from you guys its like impossible. I send some images of my driver license and a selfie because my selfie on my app doesnt work. I recieved a email from you guys saying i could get the 100 credit if i register before july 3. Im trying to do that. Help.
Update: After signing up, the app worked great. If you can get signed up it is convenient and works well. Would recommend! App looks great and I really would like to try the service but I am unable to complete the registration. I continue to receive a "payment details not valid" error. I tried registering on data and wifi, deleting and reinstalling the app. Nothing resolves the problem. I can't even finish the sign up online.
