Missing Features on Samsung Galaxy S10e. So, I have this app installed on my old Galaxy from 2011, n it works great still. But on my new phone I got last year you can make, or save, a Playlist. It's not that user friendly, n it's easy to figure out. If u search for other songs or try to organize, you loose the songs u just had. Shuffle also doesn't work. It also hasn't updated at all. I've been using Winamp since the 1990s so this strikes me as very odd.
Yes. I can give 5 stars in the first two minutes of usage. I selected the folder I have music in, it made a playlist and it's done. No more scanning the whole freaking flash for audio files, playing my voice notes and random ringtones, ignoring .nomedia and pushing ads. Thank you.
It's got nothing to do with the good old pc version, annoying to use, literally not a single option to set to your liking but the reason i uninstalled it because when for whatever reason your headphones (or any connected device) gets disconnected from your phone, instead of pausing the music it continues to blast through the speaker of the phone. Now when you're in a quiet place far from you phone and can't make any noise this is unacceptable. Shame...
Not a real app but like a stud app. Tried to find some winamp for android and this has nothing similar but its name. Opening file from both internal storage and sd card works for me, however, it is completely unusable because: 1) no played file preserved 2) no playing position preserved 3) very poor folder open UI - there is nothing "impsy" in normal one, just check Musicolette. DO NOT RECOMMEND wasting time on this app, Musicolet is much better and fully satisfied my needs and even more.
This is all the functionality I want and nothing else. There are so many apps out there with all sorts of features but they fail to get the basics right. The only thing missing here is the way it handles missing mp3 tags. If the artist is unknown it should assume the folder name is the artist.
please, fix folder selection ... that's a serious "no go & uninstall" right at the start ... I was looking for a simple player with simply an option to browse through folders (not some idiotic all songs in one bag approach, or by artist, by something else - folders structure, that's it), but what I saw afternlaunhing this app is not "just simple player" - it makes completely no sense. Sorry. And I'm an advanced user, not some illiterate "just push play" crybaby.
For you to access folders in sd card just select set up scan directory, then it will show the internal storage, then immediately under it select 2 dots, then again select 2 dots, then repeat the procedure until the different folders with music appear, then click "select and close" below. Presto! U can now enjoy freeamp. Patience is virtue!
Simple and sounds great, though I hope there will be an equalizer added in the future. I used to love changing the equalizer to match the different speakers, amps, and the acoustics of the room I would be in. I still remember when I used to run winamp on a windows 98 PC speakers, and the equalizer made sound brilliant in a small roon.
Decent app but lacks some key features such as notification bar controls, or Lock Screen controls, so that counts against it in my rating. I hope for am update at some point that adds I these features, which should be standard by now for any mobile media player.
It gets the job done. I want to play some mp3s that I couldn't play otherwise, and on the loop. The interface is a bit odd, but can be worked with. If I were to compare it with WinAmp, that would be one to two stars. However, we do not have WinAmp for Android, do we?
I love how bare bones it is. However when setting the scan directory it would be nice to have proper navigation abilities there. Playlist tab would also be nice but I can get around that by creating folders.
There are lot many features required to be added. No close button available to stop music, no amplifier...Skin, themes, colour change like the real one is long way to add..but basic things like we do enjoy on desktop not available..... unhappy to use...uninstalling this app.Hope this will come back with atleast basics.
As basic as it can get, no playlist support, no sound settings. Only good thing about it is it appears to be trying to emulate winamp, unfortunately it falls far short. BRING BACK WINAMP!!!!!!
Light and concise, essentially a music player and little else. Could use some additonal features in my opinion, like playlists, but it does exactly what it says on the tin.
One of the worst music app ever. I downloaded it because of the sentiment, but it was a waste of time and waste of my patient. You actually can't do exactly anything in that app. Waste of time and waste of potential... I would give 0 stars if I could...
Literally the worst Music Player I have ever used. Worse than an Mp3 player from the early 2000's. No Search. Shows folders by default, no equalizer. No playlists.
I had to uninstall the app, the sound was excellent, only played a few of my songs but not the rest that i got on the micro sd card, also the app jept shutting down from time to time.. I gave it a 3 because sound was good
It seems that you dont have the option to create playlists and to sort the order for the songs to play. Otherwise is a good app.
Very disappointed i thought it is like winamp on windows it forgots on what song you stopped last time and starts from first song always, the quality of music is very bad like listening to midi format songs i use another player now i am happy and quality is good and it does remember where it was paused last time
if you still want a rubbish app that does not have the facility to scan for your music, this app will deliver absolutely nothing. If you have your music on an sd card this app will not find your music. total rubbish
As someone who has used WinAmp since it came out, I was very disappointed in this. All my music is on an SD card, yet this app can't access it. :(
Some say the app doesn't find music on the Memory card, but it found my music on my memory card. just searching for it and it show up. Simple app with no ads.
Yep, just works! And works very well so far. What a concept, a music player that just plays music. Bravo.
I love it, simple straight forward to use, it can play in the background and the best of all obviosly is that it is completely add free.
Ive got winamp on my labtob, it works beautifully but on my phone...not so much...i cant get it to load the mp3s on my SD card...sorry to say ill uninstall it and look for one that will find my music and play it...
Its plays, its free, still learning how its work but it seems simple, just enjoying some good music and when google play stopt working i come heer and thats it. Problem solved.
Love what you are doing, but it needs to be better polished. Please add shoutcast support. Also, think about adding a robust social system. Let me know if you need help with features and/or ux design (hint: you do).
Simple and straight forward, light in size and light on its feet. 2 suggestions: 1) add "Adding 1,234,567 songs to list..." or similar message so we know it's actually going somewhere and 2) if it's going to take more than 3 seconds to scroll through the song list to display info about the already playing randomly selected song, just jumping straight to the title would be preferable.
