A great app if you have an interest in aircraft or want to identify planes that fly over. Customisable with many options makes this a must have app. Tried others but found this to be spot on for me. Many thanks to the developer. 👍 Latest update allows you to set the screen to always on but it does reset to off the next time I open the app again. Can the option selected be made to stay until changed by the user? Other than that minor gripe the app just gets better. 👌

9 times out of 10 this app just sits at a white screen and never shows the map, by which point you've lost interest in the plane you just saw flying over because you won't know where the hell it is by the time you finally get the map displayed. Also little to no information about what it is that the 'receiver' actually tunes into... next to useless as a result.

I hate to say it but these past few weeks in my aircraft-rich area north of London has been totally disappointing. It's really not even worth the one star I awarded it because it's pretty much a screen with a map on it. This app has been brilliant over recent years but not of late. Has it changed ownership? I'm hoping that its original brilliance can be restored ASAP....or...it just becomes a map on your screen. Ridiculous.

As it says on the Tin it's a FREE App The Team at Freedar are working tirelessly to make thing's work. But unfortunately it's not reliable at the time of writing. However, I have confidence that the bugs will be ironed out and all will be good. I will then be happy to, give it more Stars. it costs nothing to use and it costs nothing to keep on your device so why remove it. The team continually work hard to improve the app For that alone it deserves and extra star

Freedar has gone from great to useless! It used to be good and reliable, but now even if you can get it to open properly it freezes or there's no feed option to fetch the aircraft info to display. I've tried clearing the cache, clearing the cache then uninstalling/reinstalling, then clearing the cache again but nothing makes it work properly. Come on you developers sort it out and restore what was a really good app!

**Update** - now won't open again this time I just get the android page. All fixed and working well again. Thank you for fixing the issue so quickly. 5 stars as promised. Would give 5 star if I didn't keep getting white screen. Everytime I try to log in I get white screen. Even by clearing the cache and reinstalling it works once or twice but then goes back to white screen and will not work. Please fix this issue as it seems most users are having the same problem.

I've tried giving this app a chance to work properly, and Saturday night was the final straw! Tried to view details of something flying low overhead, and all I received was an error saying there was an SSL 'handshake' issue on the server. Other times it takes AGES to load, or doesn't load at all. I've tried clearing the cache, and performing a force stop, which sometimes works. Emailed the developer to say what was happening, no response. Get a feeling no longer interested. Now deleted the app.

Houston there appears to be a problem, aircraft don't appear! Very slow to load after a white screen, tried uninstalling and reinstalling. It's just an OpenStreetMap page now. I don't know if it was supposed to be a joke, but a UFO appeared over the poles. Just get it working again!

Excellent when it works but damn annoying when it doesn't we get a lot of air traffic and I like knowing what's going over but the slow loading and white screen is annoying. However I haven't found another app which is better and the appearance and set up is very good.

fortunately, the app was updated a while ago and now i can hear the audio fine. sometimes i have an issue where i cannot receive any connection to the app and i get an error time out. a thing id love this app to have is to specifically select the audio i want from a specific aeroplane. appart from that, an excellent bit of kit!

A well intentioned app that does the job WHEN IT WORKS. Alas all too often you are just presented with a map and nothing showing up, infuriating when you are after a quick look to see if the loud noise outside is worth bothering to check out! I'd say currently 60-70% of app launches end up with nothing showing at all.

Just reinstalled for the third time due to white screen, which is said to have been fixed and hasn't. I immediately get a screen that says "Web server is returning an unknown error." How useful is that?! I won't be reinstalling. Flightradar is much better, albeit without military movements, but if you can't use Freedar where's the benefit?

Since update app now runs well on Samsung A70, still a slight pause on the white screen but for the time being is fully functional. I would give 5* if some kind of help was available to understand all the settings, maybe a help icon next to each setting to explain what the setting is for/what it does. Overall a good app..

Top app that's having a few issues at the moment And unlike some apps the crew are working to resolve the issues. They respond to people's complaints How many apps do that ? For me the app works well 90% of the time and the other 10%, clear the cache from the menu by swiping right from the top of the screen. My last point Remember this app is free and not overflowing with annoying advertising Give it a go What have you got to lose ?

It's free so you get what you pay for. Very useful when it works but also incredibly unreliable. White screen just when you want to ID an aircraft overhead is so frustrating. A shame as with a fix on the reliability this would be a marvelous app.

Could be great but too slow, slow to load, slow to draw map, slow to show aircraft. Often just a white screen, and by the time it loads, interesting aircraft are miles away. Also often down for maintenance and error messages. Could be great but too unreliable and slow.

App never works for me anymore. Just get a white screen. Tried clearing cache, resetting ect to no avail. When it goes work, it takes so long to get going that the aircraft I was looking for is long gone. Not a fan at all anymore, when I used to love Freedar!

Initial download was good (5*) and allowed me to see what aircraft was around me and further afield but since update nothing but a white screen, cleared cache, uninstalled and put back, restarted phone but still shows white. Hope you'll get sorted soon otherwise I'm gone. Update thanks for the response, I have successfully used app once now back to white screen again. Good when works but not reliable!

The app is good when you first download it because it shows all the military aircraft over the UK and parts of Europe. However, the more you use the app the longer it takes to open each time and eventually doesn't open at all.

Used to be good. Then all of a sudden wouldn't load... White screen constantly. Have to uninstall and re install, and it'll work one or two times, then stop working again. Getting annoying now to the point I may just uninstall fullstop and find something better.

Some of the aircraft icons are always showing as empty rectangles instead of an icon. Samsung Galaxy S9 Android 10. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but hasn't fixed it. Problem is with new aircraft icons. Checking old aircraft icons setting fixes it but then all the icons are the same size.
