FreeFlight 6

Great app and a necessity for the drone. It has loads of options and customizable parameters for the perfect experience. I've never used it to fly the drone, however. I use the controller for that. The Follow Me option is nice and works well, along with the other flight modes. My only complaint is that the map doesn't always load so you just see a blank grid. Even if you preload the map, it still doesn't load.

Works Perfectly! I don't see why everyone is complaining about this app because mine works perfectly. I use it on a both Android and IOS phones and have had no issues. I hope to continue having great results with it as I learn to use it. I think people are either not following instructions or doing something to get mixed results. I recently saw that the phones wifi needs to be off when using the sky controller good to know because I have been having mine on so I'm glad nothing bad has happened.

Since last version it does not connect to the drone anymore. I had to install a previous version to connect. Also: 1) the drone horizon skews horrendously after a few minutes of flight, and the manual rotation can be set only while landed. At least enable that while flying. 2) it would be handy to have the option to change one of the buttons of the controller to cycle through flight modes.

Too bad I have to rate so low. Really like the drone, but the app is pretty buggy. Doesn't always record flights, have had fun coming up with a flight plan, but can't get flight plan to execute. I press the play arrow/button and the drone hovers, as if there wasn't a flight plan. All other modes work. Also have message that there's no sd card inserted but there is (video on YouTube). Odd stuff. Hope you get it all sorted out.

Everything seems to work much better after the 6.4.0 update. Still a few bugs and I still miss the option to see my drone speed in Km/h and I wish the HUD info (speed, distance, altitude, etc) would be a bit larger. Anyway, more features and the app is much more stable, now. Good work, Parrot (updated from 1 to 4 stars).

Works well when it works..Whether it's this app, or the updates, or the software in general, or my ANAFI - they are unreliable to use in commercial applications. When connected to the drones wifi network it says it's not connected, when hard connected to the controller it says it's not connected. I spent way more time messing with this thing and downloading firmware updates than I do actually being able to fly it.

Update: Parrot customer service rocks! Actual person talked to me after a few rings! I was having trouble with the app and it kept crashing on my phone but a quick factory reset on drone fixed everything. not sure if it had anything to do with it but right after they updated the app and it's working better than ever. Loving the experience of using this drone and this app now!

good control app and fairly easy to use. Downsides are minor with two flight modes being in ap purchases that frankly should be included. photos and videos can be transferred from drone to phone, but only to phone memory. would be better if option to download to phone memory card. the app cover diagnostics and telemetry of the drone and works in imperial and metric. selecting and moving photos and video is easy, but layout can lead to accidentally deleted files.be careful of your taps.

Overall a very good experience using the app to both pilot the Anafi and manage media from the drone. One crucial missing feature is the possibility to adjust the horizon (gimbal roll) WHILE FLYING. The gimbal roll axis can sometimes drift in flight, making it impossible to adjust while on the ground. Even Parrots own video of the brand new Anafi USA recently shared on LinkedIn shows a skewed horizon! Additionally, I would like to see the option to adjust the stick feel by expo, not just rate.

The app is very good imo and very user friendly. Much better overall than apps I've used with lower budget drones and has a lot more options for flight modes and camera. It has worked very well for me for going on two years with my LG V35 phone. The only issues I have had with loss of connection or crashing were not app related but turned out to be a bad usb cable port the phone itself. I don't know why others have struggled with the app but it's very work well with both my LG phone and ipad.

Great app for flying around. Fairly easy to navigate menu's. One major issue is the Gallery view: The UI and image loading needs to be on different threads in the gallery view. After about 50GB of imagery it hits a stops responding watchdog when retuning to main gallery view. At 100 GB it becomes entirely unusable 10-15 minutes to load page. Also it would be nice if I could specify save to phones SD card instead of international storage.

Excellent app and fantastic drone! There are some dodgy units out there.. I had to send 2 back to amazon (they were used though), the third (new) has had zero problems and the app always works smoothly and is a pleasure to use. Some android devices have issues with video streaming but thats normally with older less capable smartphones. The max height is my only gripe but thats there for safty so ho-hum.. people need to check for updates before they go out to fly! or turn off auto updates!

I just love this app and the Anafi. The capabilities are endless and suitable for either professional or beginner. Using this app is like flying a high-end DSLR. The 360° panoramas are amazingly simple to create and look spectacular. As a photographer, I've happily added the Anafi and Free Flight 6 to my arsenal of photographic equipment. Not only is it great for still shots, but handles videos fantastically. Highly recommended. Great job Parrot!!!

The latest update seems to work fine on my Samsung S7 and S9. Like the panoramas and 360s. Rated down one star as it would be nice if the pano series were given a unique folder for the photos or given a unique file name to make it easier to ID the photos. That would make it much easier for those who wish to use a stand alone stitcher.

This app pairs easily to both the sky controller 3 and via wifi from the anafi to my galaxy s9+. It enables me to fly with smartphone only which is nice for autonomous modes. I easily transfer captured footage using the gallery section of this app to move files from the sd card on the anafi to the phone. Every update has been very useful, even adding new features for the camera and flying modes. Very impressed.

I can't use this app without it crashing and needing to uninstall it! Ive had my drone less than a week and I have only been able to fly it twice! I have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get any further than the opening screen. I connect my drone and the app has to close and won't reopen. What's the point paying so much for a drone if the app I have to use to fly it doesn't work!? I have sent feedback twice this week regarding the issue, but have had no response.

Last version worked with my Sony xperia z3. Current version does not as there is no video feed, just a black screen. Neither version has worked with my Sony xperia xz premium unfortunately.. Such a shame.. Waiting for an update to hopefully fix it.. Nice drone when you can fly it.. Thanks for replying so quickly.. I tried the reset as you described but it still does not have a video feed.

First summer with anafi was great no issue. Then about 2 years ago, I downloaded the update and since then have not been able to connect my skycontroller. Even though the app does not display a connection, I know the controller still works because the drone reacts to controller inputs. I reached out to Parrot to try and claim my warranty of course but was 1 month too late and after weeks of email correspondence, was turned away with no resolution. Latest update did not fix the issue either

Pretty good with the ANAFI. But here's the issues: 1. they should allow POIs to show up in the map. it's already using google. 2. the max altitude in safety is an absolute joke. Why in the hell do they just set an arbitrary max altitude? If they were looking for a sure way to lose to the DJI, this rule will most likely handle that.

Updated review to 3 star. Got the app to connect with skycontroller 3 but needed to use an older phone to connect and udate firmware on remote. fortunately i had one. after the update it connected to my pixel 3. Wish there had been a PC option to update the controller. App looses connection to drone on first flight when connected with skycontroller. wifi signal is fine, and then says weak signal without moving and drops connection and reconnects. might be usb coord. very finnicky so far.

Five stars is too good for the experienced pilot to release an Anafi drone to go out lateral across surfers. By not paying attention to the battery level casually loI lost it in the ocean! It needed a better practice like the word problems in math to pre determine when the drone would find my position. Practice on the desk or calculator for Freeflight maps.

I purchased the Anafi Thermal and have FF6, however, I have NEVER been able to get the drone to travel more than 50 yards without losing the signal! Ive tried eveything from playing with the frequencies in manual settings, airplane mode, flying in a flat and isolated area and nothing seems to work! An awesome drone with this huge exception. Customer service is very slow and have no viable answers and no phone support whatsoever. (does anybody know a phone number for Anafi USA support?) HELP!
