FreeTone Free Calls & Texting

The app was great before the last 2 updates, but now it's filled with bugs and glitches. My read messages still shows up as unread no matter how many times I open it but the worst thing is that the ads get stuck and cover half the screen, the messages disappear and the keyboard will disappear. Im really disappointed in the app downgrading this app. Don't bother downloading!!!

It's a great app when you can't pay your phone bill and have nothing but Wi-Fi to save you. I would recommend it to anyone with a high priced phone bill with a few on top for the phone you used isn't paid off. It saved me from being on the streets when I chose rent over phone bill, easy decision to download this app and tell the phone company to kiss your dial tone!

Very glitchy lately. Keyboard randomly disappears after a few seconds, even if you are actively typing, and you have to exit the screen then go back to get it to show. Seems to be tied to new ads loading in that space. It's really annoying because I really liked this app, up until the more recent updates.

It's been great using the app. It is so easy doing credit top up. But there is one area that needs upgrading. The cost for texting is high. It cost 5 credits to send text. I think it should be brought down to the barest minimum of 1 credit to text.

The keyboard doesn't work during the calls. You are in a call and you can't press numbers for options or extensions. You can't send media like pictures in a text message. All the time is requesting your rate even when I am paying 8 dollars per month for using it. All the time I am receiving trash publicity even though I am monthly paying for using this app.

App won't start. Just comes up with the message "freetone keeps stopping". This just started after using this app for a few months. Pity because it was actually decent. Update: The freezing issue has been resolved, but now I'm constantly getting ads even though I pay for the premium service. Completely unacceptable.

If you are stuck and this was the only app of it's type available. You would uninstal it inside of minutes and just hope for the best. The Adds overlap each other. From the moment the app is opened, total chaos. However I was able to make only one call. And that was enough. Thank you anyways.

I honestly don't think leaving bad reviews is nice but they are helpful. Like in this case, my bf & I have been using this app for over a year now & it was ok@first but I've been having problems with it for 5months now. It's got a lag & it takes forever to load up. It don't accept verification texts unless you upgrade NO.! I thought ok maybe it's my phone or something NO! Everytime I download this app onto a device ( i.e. tablet, apple, Android, you name it.) It's screws up my system.! AWFUL!

Paid for no ads. Still get 30 sec ads for foolish games... I can't x out of ads so I have to keep closing the app. Msg'd tech support. No response. Poor connections on calls. Limits number of texts you can send even though it says unlimited.

This app was pretty good until recently. I have been a subscriber of a premium plan for over half a year, and now, I'm getting ads. What exactly am I paying for if I still get the ads? And why did they just start recently? There are also some bugs that make the app a bit hard to use. Not cool. I will likely be cancelling my (pointless) subscription and finding an alternative

Total disaster! There are more ads, distractions and flashing junk than in Times Square. The keyboard fails every single time you try to use the free version. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!

Dial pad is unresponsive to button presses so it's practically impossible to use this app to make phone calls (which is a big point of having a Wi-Fi phone app). FreeTone Support doesn't care and they won't fix this problem.

I did try it and got my number for free But it was Not in my area code!! And it's Too Many Ads!!! It's Crazy ads Constantly!! Every Second!! That's Annoying!!- Not good at all!! When I'm trying to make a Call!! It's In the way!! Now it disappeared off my phone!! And I got my old phone number back! In place of it that's Better!!+ Free!! And Not too many ads!!- so Goodbye free tone!! TextNow is Much- better!!- than u!! So I don't recommend free tone!! Beware!! Peace!!

A lot of mumbo jumbo in the background could be a little confusing to some I guess but all in all it does what I need it to do it makes phone calls I haven't tried texting yet but the calling works and I got to pick my own number also for newcomers when you pick your number you don't have to click on the free trial to keep it you just close out of it after you pick it at least it worked for me anyway

It is a fairly solid communication application. I am currently experiencing no significant issues when utilizing it. Thankfully, they have repaired all of the serious malfunctions that had aggravated me for a long time. Edit: I have already rated the application, stop asking me to do so.

I have been having a lot of issues with this app and I've been using for a while it's a great app but I haven't benefited from any of the updates and I keep having the same issues. It says it's free but I have credits and can't use them, it opens on a blank page and now my number expired and I don't have the money to pay pe renew my subscription I'm really depressed at this point because it's a great app and I want to lose my messages but really it's just really bothersome at this point.

I love the Freetone app because you can make and receive international calls to anywhere in the world you don't even have to pay money at all just go to the store tab in the app and tap free tap watch a video you get a credit no money needed you even get a free phone number with voicemail free local phone calls and free sms texting I recommend this Freetone app to everybody

Just bought the paid version. I tried sending an image and it won't go. I was charged a monthly fee and it won't work. I feel disappointed and scammed. I need refund. There is no support number/email to reach out to.

Cant even text on the app anymore. I sent 2 messages this morning & it wouldnt send after that because of a security issue with "spam campaigning." Idk what that even means. Its been 7 hours since I sent the last text and still can't send anything.

Excellent. The sound is clear like the water. I really like it. And the app is beautiful, easy to use and full fonctionality. No problems. Just to many adds only. But I think I am going to buy it. Thank you.

Not bad for a free product. The new adds that come up are annoying, but I understand th need fo them. Using as an alternative number has been great. I have even considered paying for the subscription but compared to others, it's just too much. If they lowered the sub price I would definitely consider subscribing.

Paid for a number and never got it and never refunded despite sending proof of payment and making numerous requests for my money back. They ignore emails and don't make it clear that even if you have credit you can still lose the number you have and you can't get it back once you lose it

First time downloading the app, and it won't even let you use it. Tries to make account. Account already made? And all of a sudden after troubleshooting the password. It doesn't work

This is some trash. The number press is late & I cannot type in my answers when calling 800 number. I click on 2 things & I'm bombarded with full page ad. The speaker barely works & not sure if mute does. Uninstall

Keyboard constantly glitches or closes. App keeps begging for permissions I've already denied, overall poor quality. 2 stars because it's better than nothing - BUT prepare to be aggravated beyond belief by this app.

The app really helps you in the pinch when you need to call somebody...in these days and times when you're not available or can't afford a phone bill great app... I would appreciate it with giving this review that you help me out with some points to be able to call people just until the end of the month thank you

This app is utterly redicolous, I pay the premium plan and I am not receiving any notifications for incoming calls and they are also missed calls because my phone doesn't ring. I've been speaking to the same person name Timmy for the last, and i am beyond pissed because it's like I'm getting a robot like response back instead of fixing my issue. I am not receiving incoming calls it going straight to a missed call, and the support is beyond pathetic.

I feel tricked! Like haha! Made u look. April's fool! I made sure to read if this requires credits or watch this video for 2 credits and I checked to see if I had to earn points to make calls. Everything said no this app is totally free. Great! I linked to Google acct, first thing to pop up, NONE OTHER THAN a pop up"You have 10 cretits.. GOOD~BYE! #uninstalled

It's a scam, the app makes you pay every month to get a number and it is absolutely not free as mentioned. I recommend to use the app text now if you are looking for a real free number with unlimited calls and sms.
