It has always been free to rent a trailer with Freetrailer, as long as you don’t make a reservation from home. It will remain free, regardless if you make a reservation from the phone or if you have the rental place assist you. When you are physically located at the rental place, the phone will automatically make sure, that you do not pay a reservation fee!

Great experience with the system, but could have saved my driver's license info etc for next pickup. Maybe support autofill at least. Had one lock jam up, but helped to kick it ok the bottom.
Awful experience. Downloaded the app. Reserved a bike. Paid for it. When i arrived to get it, two bikes were parked, but the app didnt let me open any, giving a generic message that none were available
The concept is great. However I had a problem with opening the app after the reservation. I wrote my number and email, -the same as in the reservation-, however the app said that we can't find this person. Had to go to the IKEA costumer service both to get it and leave it back. It took more or less an extra hour of inconvince. It is just a pity that it didn't work and I had to fix it in another way, because the idea is great! With friendly regards
Very easy and nice way to rent a trailer. Only drawback is that damage you discover while driving (such as bad contact in the cable or error messages in the car's display) will be marked as occuring while you rented it if you report the damage. This leads to people not reporting damage, and it will never be fixed. Would like option to report damages that were already on the trailer.
At first look, seems to difficult to use,but if you follow them instructions then you will realize how easy it is. Really awesome service. I love to use.

App works fine. Although some of the trailers didnt connect with bluetooth.
I like that you added a temporary unlock feature. Just wish the padlocks worked in the cold.
Easy to use. Guided trailer rental. Not 100% but everything has fees and charges these days ;)
The app defaults to the partner version and the button to switch to ordinary user login is not visible. Samsung galaxy S10. It is located at the bottom left of the screen. Found it on my wife's iPhone. The app doesn't seem to work properly on samsung
I had some problems with unlocking the trailer. Freetrailer ended up thinking I was delivering it instead of picking it up. otherwise fine experience.
Doesn't work at all. We're in front of 3 available carts and the app keeps complaining about server not available. We have a sofa outside at -15 C
This will cost you a good amount of money. not only is it not actually free (I don't care about that), it's not automatically debited, so if you don't have access to your post mail you will get a late fee. I now have to pay ~300:- for about 30 minutes of use. I wish you would have wined and dined me before you $-$#&6 ME 😡
Works like a charm. Automatic check out and return - even unlocking of the trailer is done through the app. Easy steps. Great service and great app.
This is an awful app and service. we used it once and thought that it was free, but it is not free at all, it is just a hoax, after few weeks they send us a bill of 79 SEK that we paid but because of their complicated system they referred us to a collection agency that charged us 1000 SEK. We paid it off despite the fact we did not agree, this is how they steal your money, we will never use them again and recommend all to do the same.
I tried renting a trailer but my phone battery died while unlocking the trailer. We ended up not using the trailer. Freetrailer customer service was very understanding, they refunded me the next day after I submitted a ticket. I would definitely rent a trailer next time (and ensure my battery doesn't run out).
The unlock function seems to work sporadically, took me 30 minutes to unlock the trailer lock... And got bummed that the "free" trailer still took a booking fee and an obligatory insurance fee. Still ends up cheap, but not "free".
Very smooth! Great customer service. Only negative was that customer service on phone was in English - not a problem for me but maybe for other Swedes. There is a great Q&A, though.
It's a convenient app aslong as the Bluetooth pairing works.

The website is very helpful, there re guiding videos for every step of the usage: how to inspect, how start rental period, how to mount the trailer on the car, how to dismount, how to end the rental period... Easy to use and very very cheap compared to other options. Satisfied about the Fretrailer!

Works well and explains the stages clearly.
A UX problem is that it does not save your selection of country. Meaning it annoyingly defaults to Denmark every time, but that is not obvious from the login error where there is no country selector shown.
Really, really easy to use, check, rent & return process. Obs! Remember to pick your corresponding country, not only the appropriate country phone extention. Its not just for language, but also holds your user/reservation.
