French English Dictionary

This app is extremely good! I like the many examples and verb conjugations. Tapping on a word to obtain its translation is a very convenient feature. I have recommended it to all my French class classmates. The IOS version includes listing of conjugated verbs. This makes searching for words as one reads a book even easier. Unfortunately this new feature is not yet available on the Android version. Please release an update soon!

Sometimes works really well. Other times the word list defaults to starting with 'zozoter', WHATEVER is typed. This makes it unusable. I have cleared the cache, uninstalled / reinstalled etc but the fault will not go away. I raised this with the app creator and they have said they will 'consider looking at the problem' which doesn't sound very encouraging! In any case I'm permanently uninstalling now as it's useless (for me). Good luck with your install!

It was the spanish version of this dictionary i started with. I had never paid for an upgrade but It was soo good, i was knew an upgrade would upgrade me. The moment i realised it had a french version as well, i deleted the 2 french dictionaries i had had for 2 years and instantly downloaded this. I'm so impressed with the interface and loads of examples in it. All that's missing is the IPA. P.S: this is my first time dropping a comment on Playstore, I wouldn't have but you deserved it.

I love the ability, in a single app, to find definitions of single words or to translate whole phrases. With translations I can go in either direction with no difficulty or screen change. Definitions of nouns also designate m/f and provide other French synonyms. Verbs provide conjugations. All in one app unlike other apps I have tried which limit my curiosity because of more restricted resources I have used this app only three weeks and hope to explore more of its features

I'm paying for the subscription just to show my support and further improvements of the app. It's so good, it's become my go to to increase my French vocabulary. The UI is simple and isn't cluttered, I can focus more on the words without unnecessary distractions. Hope my purchase will improve the app further. Thank you!

I have used the ios version and it is much easier to use. you can search a verb in any form and it will show you the infinitif but in the one in my Android phone this feature is not available. I also can't get the prononciations although I know one of my friends has access to prononciations in her Android phone.

It's good dictionary except there are many French verbs with the infinitive missing. E.g. dégingandent is defined as "verb form of dégingander". True, but useless since there's no entry for dégingander.

Use it quite a lot. Unfortunately I switched phones and premium (paid version)cannot be transfered (their switching service doesn't work) and they don't want to do anything about it. Pretty rubbish service. Probably best to try another app.

Could be great, but the UI needs improvement, I hate how much distorbing and difficult to scroll up and down the dictionary because it is soo small even for a baby fingers. Try to focus on the French side by adding quotes, synonymous, phrases...

This app is such a great app ! I have been using this for a long time now and it really helps me a lot at school but i notice that not every word in french or in english have definitions and examples sometimes it's just the translated word so i hope they can add more examples of sentences of the word and definitions.👍👍

So, if you delete the app, everything will be lost. YOU CAN'T EDIT DICTIONARY ENTRIES either, your entries will exist alongside the dictionary entries.

The Best French English Dctionary Ever, and It Deserves 7 Stars. It is one of the best uesful French English dictionaries because It has many features like : - Clear pronunciation. - Clear Offline pronunciation and translation. - Clear translation meanings. - Has many clear exambles. - It determines and displays the classification of the words as noun,verb,adjective..etc. -The pronunciation is in both French and English.

After some time (well, decades) away from four years of studying French, when faced by the challenge of trying to regain my former skills I quickly found that while my grammar seemed to be okay, my vocabulary wasn't. This wonderful app helped me solve that problem. Thanks!

This is the best French dictionary ever!!! It also has a place to transfer sentences which is great and I love the flashcards option they help me to learn new words and the quizzes are always challenging. It also has conjugation of verbs which helps me as a student.Great job on this app!

Excellent apps, clear design, easy to use, best dictionary in Google Play store, I like the searching function, you can search easily when you don't know how to write those words what you search, you can search English and French words at the same time, this is the unique feature of this apps.I also use the Ascendo dictionaries of another language, such as German, Italian and Spanish.

The only French dictionary I use on my phone, along with the Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German versions. Where else can you find complete verb conjugations. The sample phrases are also very helpful!

Excellent ! I like the speaker system where it helps you pronounce the word correctly without the help of the instructor. This dictionary app is the greatest tool in achieving learning and mastering French language, specially on your own. J'aime beaucoup étudier le français.

Absolutely love this app. It works conveniently offline as well. Albeit, the google adds are very annoying. Also, no word class and gender is shown for some of the French words. It could do with some upgrade. Merci.

There is nothing bad to say about this app! It is such a useful tool to use, whether you're trying to learn French or just looking up the occasional word. The translations are always accurate, the layout is easy to navigate... very impressed with this!

An excellent dictionary, and I'd highly recommend it those who wants to learn French. It comes with many entries and extensive examples, and what's more, each entry goes with an audio file.

I think it's such a helpful app online and offline; it gives really accurate translations to phrases in the online mode. As for the offline mode it allows you to translate a word, gives u synonyms to it in french, and conjugates it. It's perfect!!

Very helpful app! I use while reading old and new works for a French lit study group. I find 99% of the words I need to translate. (Obviously, not perfect when it comes to slang or regional patois.)

Don't pay, this app needs a lot more example sentences than just the English translation. Translations don't always give the context on how to use it. There are other free apps that give way more examples and will teach you how to use the word correctly.

One of the best dictionaries ever found.conjugation ,gender' phrases. Indeed it is the best French-English dictionary found on Andriod phones.What is amazing there is audio pronunciation and online Translator. It has met my need. It's generall excellent.98% effective

This app is great for finding translations offline. I do wish I could look up verbs in their conjugated form (since the reason I use the dictionary is because I don't know the word,) but other than that, it's great.

The app is really fantastic. I'm using the free version and just love it though I know I miss many great features ;( My only issue is not having the french pronunciation of words and phrases! How can I enable it on my android phone? When I tap for french pronunciation I get this message: "Locale fr is not available. Please install a local TTS engine for that locale." What is a TTS engine? How can I install it? Help me please.

This app worked great for half a year, but lately it started crashing often, and now it seems to have lost all its data (no longer has definitions for any words!)

This app has a simple but very effective design. The display of words in alphabetical order allows you to quickly find related words also. Don't hesitate to try out this well designed app.
