Hello, could you implement a feature so that the application itself discovered the words (studied/translated) and highlights them in examples I add words very often and a lot, and self-selection and highlighting takes me a lot of time I'll be so glad, if you implement it
I'm always on the road, so the hands-free option is really great. The voice examples are okay but it seems to cut off just a smidge of the beginning of the word. All-in-all its a wonderful app and the spaced repition is very effective. I bought the spanish version too. Buy this app. Its like 6 bucks and well worth it.
Really good and very helpful with learming new words aswell as refreshing memory. Its very intuitivebto learn and even without spending money i can use it perfectly well without huge disturbances or annoying missing parts. Plus you dont have to put in your own words and can instead choose from a preset, which makes it much more accessible when you dont know where to start (like me)
My favourite for learning words in any language. I love that I can add and edit words and choose what I learn. Thank you for adding pictures, I love it!
Originally rated 5 stars and bought the app, however there's one major drawback - scheduling and reviews. Once a category is completed, you'll never be asked to review those words again in future. This defeats the purpose of spaced repetition because longer review schedules are proven to actually make a language stay in your long term memory.
The best resource for learning vocabulary I have found.
I enjoy learning through this app. The review really sets the words and spellings in my memory. I would like to suggest that the definition include the word designation, like verb, noun, etc. Sometimes i don't realize the use of the words until I see it in a different app or lesson. If you really wanted to make it great, you could add the etymology because I have to look it up sometimes.
Even tho I just tried the app for the first time I already really like it. It's simple, easy to use, the learning modes are good and the pronunciation is spot on. Fills the gap in my language learning apps perfectly. Only thing that could be improved is to add articles to nouns. It's strongly suggested for French to always learn the article with the word to reinforce gender information. It is displayed already but would be better with an article. Colour coding would also help me with that.
Has everything you could need. Choose from different sets of words, includes French pronunciation and examples, offline use, reminders, and different review formats (e.g. text response, multiple choice). My favorite feature is that you can edit the words if, for example, you want to add synonyms to the definition or examples (not all words come with built-in examples and you might come across examples elsewhere that seem more relevant for you).
I've downloaded a lot of French flashcard apps and this one is so far the best by a long shot. Pros: • It has a long list of words • It is quick and efficient • It lets you type on your own keyboard instead of some slow in-app one • It has a dark/night mode • The paid version is a one-time payment and not a subscription, plus it's really cheap, absolutely worth the money, accepts iDEAL payments, and the free version is fine especially to try it out. The only app I've ever decided to pay for
It provided all the things I am looking for which are the following: pronunciation, l'ortographe, notifications to practice, and examples on *most* words. And now, after a recent update, I notice the GENDER of the words is now required when practicing, and is even color coded like my own French professor taught vocabulary. YES! The cost of the ad free and unlimited practice version is seriously manageable. I would (and have) highly recommend(ed) this application to help with vocabulary.
There is a problem with purchasing, can't buy anything Cs the page with payment dissappear all the time...
I've been looking at French vocab apps for a while now and this one is the best. You are able to select categories, the pronunciation quality is excellent, it uses helpful algorithms to help you memorize more efficiently, and you can remove words you don't care to learn. For under three bucks it's a no-brainer.
So far, I'm finding it useful for expanding my vocabulary.
Promotes excellent vocabulary recall, I'm impressed. Ty
Great format and easy to use.
Great app. I love the pronunciation feature and the sample sentences. The only improvement I would suggest would be for the verb sample sentences. It should be standard to have a sample of each commonly used tense; maybe start with past, present and future.
Excellent experience with learning words. One question - the app description in Google play says there are 5000 words, but the biggest word category is "Top 3000". Where are the other 2000?
This is an excellent application. It is a simple, easy to use, and highly functional flash card application. The ability to edit flash cards, and make your own catagories extends its usefulness enormously. The full version is a fair price and allows the user to learn an unlimited number of words per day. Nice job.
Good flashcard app to learn vocab by category, notice there is no numbers category. Some other useful category could be book based vocab like Petit Prince.
This app would be great if there wasn't a word limit. I'm trying to learn new words, but it always ends up cutting me off with a 'daily limit reached' message. I understand the limit can be lifted if I pay for the app...but I'm not, so I have to uninstall, unfortunately, and try another. Good app, though, and I'm sure the paid version is great too, but it's not for me.
This app is absolutely brilliant, super easy to use, completelt flexible to your own taste, and gives you the opportunity to learn exactly the words you need. The option to add your own words is not only a good idea but perfectly executed
Need to practice my French numbers. Downloaded the app, and numbers aren't even in the list. So... If I go to France, apparently shopping, handling money, finding street addresses and understanding prices isn't a thing. Uninstalled .
Ads in free version are not obnoxious even though full page. It's a good flash card app although there are free apps with more features it simply works and if you don't want to manage your own cards very much it's a good choice. I like it and I'm going to keep it.
I really love this app. Still I'd love it even more if there is the possibility to revise the words randomly, not in the same order all the time. If there is such an option, please tell me, I couldn't find it Upd. Спасибо за ваш ответ! Ещё скажите, пожалуйста, не планируете ли вы выпустить приложение для чешского и венгерского? Было бы здорово
My original review was 5 star because I love the app, even bought a premium version. I'm changing it now to 2 star because of my bad experience with the support team. I had issues opening back up file and asked for help. Customer service only replied 2 days after (after me following up) advising to install Total Commander. That didn't make sense because I could see the backup file in my file manager, it was Reword app that didn't show the file. When I asked for clarification, I got no response.
Great app really affective. More tests would also be good. Price is reasonable but would add up if we were to get the app for other languages. Perhaps include more languages in the app too instead of having separate apps. As would be keen to learn more but not keep paying for separate apps
Anyone can make flash cards but having them on your phone is so much more convenient. I can select my subjects, I can read and hear samples of the word used in a sentence and I can review what I need to practice on. I was so impressed with the free trial that I later purchased the app and can say it's the best $5 I ever spent. If I could change anything, I'd like to be able to practice my numbers. Why is that not an option? Otherwise, superb.
