Frequency Analyzer

The app calculates the fundamental frequency of a sound with very high precision. The error in the frequency is less than 0.04%The app plots the fundamental frequency versus time. The application can be used to tune musicals instruments. The app can be used to measure sound Doppler Effect: J.A GΓ³mez-Tejedor, J.C Castro-Palacio y J. This is wonderful app. More useful in engineering parlance. Musical notes, voice can hv many modulations. But there are applications where this is very useful. Phone microphone quality, distance can influence results greatly. One need to take 5 to 6 readings and choose the one most repeated. Awesome app.

Its a terrible app. The results aren't accurate at all. I tried playing one music five times at the same sound level and results are far from each other.

Useful for identifying the exact frequency of a pure tone. I only awarded "2 stars" because: Contrary to developer's claim, app does NOT actually identify the "fundamental" tone within a sound that has harmonics ("fundamental" is the lowest freq in a series of harmonics and is normally associated with "pitch"). Instead, app merely identifies "peak frequency". App often reads an octave higher for human voice singing/holding a single note. Seems accurate for sustained pure tones, but does not work well for transient sounds like drums. Also, graph is not working on Samsung Galaxy Core Prime, Android 5.1.1.

πŸ’œπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ great game. 1 problem, though. It's always as kind if I want to take a picture like, every 5 seconds and junk. Plz fix that problem and I will rate 5 πŸŽ†

4khz voice, seems legit. Got a few years to go mate. works great with my signal generator to test response of speakers though

I'm a bit confused about this app because i'm 13, boy and if i can create a 4000hz frequency, im not sure this app works :/

Sim. D. May 21, 2013

Tested accurate to within 0.1 Hz between 80Hz and 4kHz. Will be handy for checking my timing belt tension (needs 85-91Hz) :)

Does not appear to indicate frequencies above ~9000.

It shows the exact frequency.

But at least it's lightweight.

Was going to use it as a guitar tuner, but it just doesn't work.
