Extremely happy with the app in the most part. As a audio enthusiast I use it quite often when tuning stereo systems. I just find it difficult when I'm plugged into Android auto that I have to back out of it and strictly use it through the Bluetooth option in order to make it work. Also the lag time between starting and stopping tones is a lot longer than I feel it should be, hitting pause shouldn't take 5 seconds before it goes silent.

Really solid frequency generator app! Works well and it's pretty feature Rich even without the paid upgrade. My only feature suggestion would be that the sweep mode should have an option to (in addition to looping) only sweep up or down as well as up and down as it already does. Currently the only way to sweep in one direction is to turn looping off, which may not be the desired result.

This app has done exactly as I had hoped it would. This is after trying and removing several others. The ads are not invasive, as far as forcing you to watch multiple ads before continuing using the frequency generator app. There does seem to be a slight hiccup when changing the duration on the sweep generator. It doesn't do it every time the duration is changed, but every 4th or 5th change of duration or so, when you press play, it plays as a single tone and not a sweep. Just press play again.

3 stars because it will not allow me to lock my phone while the app still plays. You have to allow the app ţo run in the background and then when it runs in the background, the app will be closed out and you'll still hear the frequency you were last listening to. So you have to go into the app settings to turn the usage for background off too completely shut off the app. It's a little annoying, but the app for the pleasure of listening to frequencies is awesome.

I like it. Frequencies have always been an issue for me as I am hypersensitive at times and thanks to the adjustability and portability.. if i start getting axiety or whatever I can turn on the app, tune a frequency pleasing to me and shove it into my head. Have not tried headphones with the app yet but i just recently got hearing aids and they play audio as well so soon as i get a break I will try the app through the ear peices and see how day to day living changes if at all. Well done!

It's a great app for free. I think there is a lot of potential for more opportunity to have more control. Like being able to have a pulsating frequency. Changing the intensity of each pulsating frequency. Putting multiple frequencies together for binaural beats and more.

Exceptional! love it. 4 out of 5 - please let me pay you to get rid of the ads. ××× Revised ××× Thank you for your quick response. I did change my rating to 5. I do have a few humble suggestions: I would love to see an option to save or favorite a set of frequencies so that with the next run I can just find one of my presaved ones. Also, most times I use the app connected to a loud external speaker and the when the ads come on, my ears explode... please address this issue. Many thanks.

Cool. I'm changing the review because of my own research ! Please don't use the same template as the answer for all the negative reviews! When pure sine waves are reproduced under ideal conditions and at very high volume, a human listener will be able to identify tones as low as 12 Hz. Below 10 Hz it is possible to perceive the single cycles of the sound, along with a sensation of pressure at the eardrums.

It's easy to change the frequency and doesn't harass with ads or play music in the background. I really like this app for when I'm looking for specific frequencies for healing or concentration. Seriously, great app that never fails and does what it's supposed. Way better than a lot out there. Just a thought, if the developer is looking to add something - you might consider adding a function for presets. I wouldn't say this is a must, but it would be helpful if I could have at least 3. Thx! :)

Works very well. You can change the frequency with a slider and trim it with the + and - buttons which go in 1Hz steps. It can be useful having the slider rather than being limited to preset frequencies, for instance if you are looking for a resonance in a speaker cabinet. It's so useful to have this on my phone as previously I would have to carry a separate device. Well done and thanks to the people who designed this.

Does exactly what it says. Doesn't have other features found in more advanced function generators (e.g., noise, loops, or oscillations) that I happen to need at the moment but keeping this app for when I just need tones because it's absolutely perfect for that purpose. Only ad I came across was when changing theme color (the only non-critical setting), and it was just a short video ad after agreeing to a polite request to view it to support the developer and am glad I could. Cheers.

The app is great and it does what it's intended. But the only issue I have that's really starting to tick me off is that I wanted to download the sound so I paid for the pro version. When I hit export it immediately says export completed even though it's about 20 megabytes which takes a lot more time than instant. But also I can't find it anywhere in my phone. I've searched every file. It's not in a music file like it says it would be. It's nowhere. I can't download anything.

Excellent customization, i just downloaded this app and it is just what i was looking for. I've recently been benefitting from binaural beats but felt I was looking for something else, something simpler that I could dial in for me. I have been listening with headphones and the sound is amazing and clear. I would like to also say I downloaded this instead of others due to the open communication the developer seems to take with users over reviews and concerns. Nice job.

A very simple and customizable tone generator. You can choose between a sine wave, a square wave, sawtooth wave or a triangle wave. Not to mention that you can adjust the output volume as well. Other apps restrict you by forcing you to use a sine wave or with a fixed loudness. This one gets 5 stars for implementing all basic features a tone generator should have. :)

This should be better named "The Ad-Storm generator". In 10 minutes of use after the first install I got at least 10 fullscreen ads, which take some time to download, so the phone became very slow and unresponsive. In fact, every time you press the Play/Stop button, you'll get an ad. Also, frequency adjustment is rather difficult. It turns out that the slider doesn't have a linear scale, so all the higher frequencies are crammed up at the right end. There are also other problems that I found.

I think it's useful in finding the frequency of your tinnitus or reasonably close enough so that you can demonstrate what you hear to someone else. Ask first though. Compared the frequency of other apps to this app and it sounds spot on. Settings allows you to enable or disable running in background. Sitting through a 30 second ad was worth it.

I think this app needs more debugging done to it. I paid for pro and it said payment was successful and I didn't get ads for a few hours. I went back to using it later and I started getting ads at the bottom again and every time I exited certain menus. I closed the app, then reopened it and it started working again as though I paid for it. I hope the ads don't start popping up again. Also, I can't find any difference between Logarithmic and Linear control/display. They both look the same. Ns..

Turkey vultures apparently don't like it 😈, which means I can use it for other things than those for which I had planned. So, I REALLY like it! 😁 Had a thought: Not sure about the frequency response and fidelity of Chromecast; but, it would be neat to check frequency response (even if just eyeballing) of my THX home theater and Chromecast would be an easy link. Plus, it would make it easy to annoy others at volume - preferably those vultures!

This is a well constructed and featured app. I have a few minor wishes (easier access to freq. increments), but it is very good as-is. Adding White and Pink noise would be welcome. I wanted this for use as an input signal source, both line input (via headphone jack) and Bluetooth; I also used it to estimate my hearing range; tried finding tinnitus frequency. I assume the smartphone speaker capability etc... may be uncontrollable factors. Very nice!

I installed the App on my phone, and it appeared to work well, so I bought the Pro version. But when I installed it on my Android Head Unit (landscape screen), the UI does not work very well. When I press the "+" button, I can only see the frequency sweep option, and when I go into the freq sweep settings, I can only see the top half of the settings, it won't let me scroll down to see the rest of the settings, or press the OK button. I mainly bought this app for testing my car installation, I really hope that this can be fixed soon. Other than that, the App looks great, the UI is really nice.

This app does exactly what I need it to do. I also am a really big fan of the fact that when I turn the app on I can play other sounds with the frequency playing simultaneously. All and all this is a very convenient app and I didn't expect to find something so easy to use when I wanted to start experimenting with sound frequencies. Great app.

Amazing soundwave manipulator. Just needs a few more functions, like the option to alter the waveform while it's in a sequence. Also the ability to bypass the frequencies in between your starting and ending frequency. Just those two alone. If you add multiple frequencies between starting and ending, you can have a musical pattern!

A. G. u. Jan 21, 2019

App does what I wanted it to do and that was to check different frequencies even going further by having different wave scales. Would give 5 stars if it allowed you to save say 10 frequently used so you could just tap a button and saved frequencies are there at another push of a button. Other than that small missing feature that I'm sure will be put in soon, 😉 thanks developer I recommend this to anyone looking to hear differences in sound frequencies it is simple 2 use.

App is nothing spectacular due to improper display when in landscape mode, volume control does not work. Random volume fluctuations is extremely annoying. Why would volume suddenly & increase a lot just by normal use of my phone? Such as when I open another app the volume shoots way up. Makes no sense. Also, volume randomly changes when nothing else is happening. C'mon guys - please pay attention and get it fixed and you'll be on top of the heap.

This app is perfect for mind training. You fire up sawtooth or square to hear beats from your phone speaker. Square fires double the beats, sawtooth fires what the number shows. I use this to entrain brainwaves. Alpha is about 8 to 12 cycles per second. So, set it to 8 or 10, sawtooth, and you are in alpha within 10 minutes. I find the single beats more effective than binaural. Also single beats are clear without headphones. The app is the best thing I've found since a long time.

This is a very easy to use and fully adjustable signal generator. You can move a slider and make cool R2D2 sounds, or input the frequency you want and actually use it to set gains on amps. There are plus/ minus buttons to scroll thru freq band in .01 Hz increments with a tap/ hold. Even has other wave forms like square and sawtooth. Perfectly simple and effective for setting gains and then calling dogs in the neighborhood.

This is awesome. I got it for my tinnitus. You can store presets with names and use a countdown timer to do set-length sessions. I saved three therapies, for my three tinnitus tones. You can also fine tune the tones using the +/- buttons. I updated to pro for the suggested $3, but you can choose your own amount.

Since I have not used this app very often at the time of writing this review I am withholding 1 star. Although, my experience thus far has been very good. It has performed all its stated functions flawlessly without issue. I am currently using this app to check and adjust X-over points for active and passive X-over circuits in my speakers and other audio gear. I should point out that using this setup is very convenient due to the fact that it's portable and can connect wireless or with cables.

how can I get the pro, very good. I would like to eliminate ads. this is excellent, smooth 1hz steps. the square wave had a small tick in it every 2 seconds. it's gone away though, doesn't matter the sine is what I require and I cannot hear transitions from one frequency to another. good work.
