Can't log in. No option to reset password in app . Not convenient during a busy rush when you're randomly logged out. ***edited... come to find out they deactivated my account mid month that I paid for due to an update that I didn't get a single notification about.

This is the WORST app EVER! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! Their customer service is through email only so you have to wait for them to take their sweet time to get back to you all while your business struggles. Their app constantly freezes and shuts down. HORRIBLE!!!!!

I find it silly how so many of you complain about pos apps like this that cost you nothing. You'll eventually abandon this and overpay for ancient windows based systems like aloha and Micros, but you won't get a real tablet based point of sale system, or set up a real wireless network to actually use your free apps. Square isn't a real pos solution. Try something like salesvu if you want something that works and is supported

We have used this for 20 months and it isn't really supported by the company. When it gets busy the app gets so slow it becomes a hindrance not a help. If they'd hire a single programmer this could get good fast. But it seems like they're just cashing out on the value at this point.

Supposed to work with Square POS but doesn't work well. Square is as much at fault as KDS b/c they accept monthly payments for using KDS, but provide zero support. Don't use if you rely on orders going to the tablet, b/c when it quits working (and it will), you'll be stuck in limbo with no support!

We find it drops about 5% of orders, which means that for a high volume kitchen such as ours (fast food) with multiple screens, trying to work tickets in the order they come in, this creates enough chaos and confusion to render it basically unusable. Support doesn't acknowledge the problems probably because they can't recreate them, but they are real. Square effectively does not have a KDS solution for high volume restaurants where reliability is a requirement. Unfortunate because by every other measure Square is way superior to Micros, NCR, etc.. but not having a reliable KDS option is a non starter for our industry.

great when it works, absolutely crippling when it doesn't. i have two tablets (one for food one for drink). both disappeared from square so tickets were not being sent out. the drink tablet would reappear every now and then and old tickets would just spit out all at the same time. the food tablet isnt recognized at all, so i have to come up with a way to get my food tickets written down. nothing about my set up had changed at all and my wifi signal is very strong. so something happened on squares end or kds' end. either way, my DM's and tweets have gone unasnwered. 99.5% of the time it works, but when it doesnt its totally miserable. i wish there was a wired alternative. i enjoy being paperless, i don't enjoy the mad scramble to find a substitute while the software works itself out.

We purchased the app (10$ a month for 2 tablets) for our coffee shop and so far have not been very happy with it. It is not reliable at all. So if you do any volume this app will actually make your shop less efficient. It utilizes wifi to communicate and it is not very good. It drops signal 5 times every 10 minutes. There is no alarm or tone to let you know it disconnects so when your register is pumping out orders you have no idea if it didn't transmit one. When the app does work its great, but so far we have not been able to count on it. Other printers for use with square registers use bluetooth so I dont see why this one can't have that option as well, but I'm not a developer. It's a shame this is the only square capable app because it seems to have some serious short comings. I hope they figure out a way to make it more reliable, because if they did there are tons of food trucks and smaller shops that could benefit from this.

Have been using for nearly a year, should have just bought a printer. Misses orders on the regular, no rhyme or reason to it. One comes through, next one doesn't, then back on next. Waste of time and effort.

If you have any problems don't count on a quick solution. Businesses need quick response to fix problems. Having to submit a ticket and hope for a quick response is ridiculous. Two days now and a lot of capital involved in bringing this online only to be denied a quick phone response from their customer service. Square and kds really need to get their act together.

The app is pretty great. The customer service is about the worst thing you could ever encounter. I've had been running fresh kds on two screens for awhile and one stopped working. There's no contact number and I'm on day 3 with no response to a customer service ticket I filed. I also had a problem at initial install which I had to figure out myself as the help desk told me to read their FAQs rather than attempting to answer question.

We tried this for our food truck California Wrap Runner, a food truck in Denver CO and hope to save you the hassle we went through. Our ticket times average between 3-5 minutes. But in the never-ending quest to streamline and reduce those times we tried Fresh KDS. We went all-in with 2 android devices and gave it about a week on the truck before our entire team was frustrated with the inconsistencies. Our workflow was pretty basic, orders into ipad, pushed orders to 2 android "printers". This seemed to work fine when we were slow but when we got busy it turned to mayhem When we got busy, we started getting complaints from customers that 5 people behind them got their orders ahead of them. We were dumbfounded as we looked at the tablet and didn't even see their names on the list. At first, we chalked it up as user error. But this kept happening, slowing our ticket times down to 25 minutes. As we were trying to figure it out we compared both tablets and they were showing completely different orders. We were double making orders and skipping others. We pulled the plug on this software in the middle of a busy lunch. I'm out of space for this review. Stay away! Trust me.

It connected, but would not show orders. Contacted support for assistance giving detailed list of all the steps I had taken that they suggested in FAQ section.. Received reply "Have you followed these steps to connect Fresh KDS and Square(link to website)?
