Overall great strides compared to the other reviews. We have not had one dropped ticket because of the system. We use an iPad for the pos and it sometimes has issues with wifi connection but it alerts you that a ticket didn't go through. So there is no excuse for a lost ticket. Will be using this for the long term and upgrading with more stations as we grow
Works like a charm - never tested support because the app works seamlessly. When a display tablet is off, it cannot print the ticket, but pops an error in Square with an option to re-print. Clean, simple display that looks great and does everything we need - multiple screens, print specific items by category, and shows how long orders have been waiting.
Absolutely perfect for our food truck. Helped speed up our line and make things run super fast. Definitely recommend.
The application works ... until it does not. Then you are on your own. Support is abysmal. Only chat based - what a joke. It's glitchy and tickets are lost due to communication lapses. DO NOT RELY on FRESH KDS for high volume operations. If you use Clover it's even worse as all they do is point fingers at each other instead of helping the operator find a solution and solve the problem. We are actively looking at other solutions. Sad thing is - we had such high hopes.
I signed up with the promise of prompt customer support in this beta company. Customer service is next to zero and we've been stranded without a ticket printing system while running a busy restaurant. It fails constantly and when it's not, it prints tickets in an absolutely absurd manner that forces your kitchen to decipher it. It will mix all of your orders into one giant item instead of several individual ones. Edit: I have been in constant contact for literally months with no fix in sight.
Frustrated no customer service been locked out I updated to the new version even changed my password still nothing. I have 4 stations three are working just fine on the older version but one is not the expo screen which is on the 2.18 version I have tried and tried get your s**t together. *Update* so i updated all screens to the 2.18 version and now i am completely locked out on all of them. I even deleted and renewed my subscription nothing !
Crashes and does not work with multiple screens even though settings is the same. Communicated with tech support but still the same issues. We will be cancelling subscription. Been communicating with tech support and nothing. Still the same.
Multi clear on multiple screens no longer works on latest version!
Downloaded this and instantly we have issues with connection and delays. Had to uninstall and go back with Clovers Kitchen Display app instead. We canceled and uninstalled within a day and they still try to charge you for it!!!
Why have you killed this app? Previous version was ok, even if £10/month from a company like square is very cheeky. But this is not the essential, since you moved the app to this new version, we are losing money, our customer service is going down, because it disconnecting all the time, and lots of orders doesn't go to the kitchen....... support service is useless, all they say is change your equipment! Why not, but only in an app and people I trust, YOU ARE NOT RELIABLE FRESH KDS,
I was very frustrated because I couldn't set up my tablet with this system, I sent an "issue authorizing device" c73ae9ca5f860947. I asked them for help, and there is a nice guy, who was able to solve my issue, and helped me to set up my devices. Thank you Andrew for your support.
Great system but software is not quite ready yet. Unable to add Zebra Zd410 label printer on the Android version of KDS on Samsung Android 9.0 tablet. I have to use Ipad as an alternative for now. *Hopefully a fix will roll out soon so i can use my two Samsung Tab A .
have had this ap for years. worked fine until the latest update a week after we switched over tothe new KDS. havent been able to problem solve with tech support and now can't log in. please fix this if you would like to continue with our business.
We cannot get support help us to setup the label printer. It does not matter we send email, attached info, online chat. No help, they hire only 2 or 3 supports sit on the clock to answer question. There is no where we can get a support ticket to follow up.
I like it, but it crashes on all of my devices when I try to go into settings. looking forward to the update!
Very good app.. sometimes it freezes.. but I think it has more something to do with the the type of tablet that u download it to...
This app does nothing but load and disconnect since the update they did months ago. Recalling items takes 15mins to recall which slows the kitchen down. Fix the issues already
Crashed everything there are more than 15 orders in the middle of an important event. We are busy every Saturday morning and it crashes so often we had to switch to printed tickets on Saturday
Old version worked fine, they decided to axe it and the new 2.0 is garbage and freezes constantly...
2.0 IS TERRIBLE. WE HAVE TO REINSTALL THE APP EVERY DAY TO GET IT TO LINK TO SQUARE. 1.0 WORKED PERFECTLY BUT NO LONGER SUPPORTED.
This app is terrible. Always crashes for no reason, still no fix after many feedback reports.
Hey mate everytime i press settings it crashes, i clear cache as previous reviews stated still doesnt work please update, will change review when resolved thanks
Run away from this app, this version doesn't work, poor customer service, just a waste of time and money
Latest app update makes it crash when you try to go to settings
Will use fresh KDs with square POS. Works fantastic at times there have been glitches but support has fixed them immediately

Experience with this system was terrible, they out of the blue stopped support for their previous version, was told they sent emails but they are nowhere to be found, so after charging 10 dollars for that for 1/3 of a month it's no longer usable, while their new version is now double the price for what I can assume if it's as glitchy as previous versions isn't worth it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
