FreshGrade for Parents
This app is supplementary to the FreshGrade Teacher app, which allows the teacher to capture rich media artifacts of student learning as it happens — through pictures, videos, audio recordings, links, documents and anecdotal notes. Teachers can share student portfolios, and easily send reminders home.
FreshGrade creates meaningful communication and increases engagement between teachers, students and parents. Using the FreshGrade Parent App and FreshGrade Student App, students and parents have secure access to view, comment and upload additional artifacts to the student’s portfolio. The FreshGrade suite of applications features student portfolios, custom assessment tools, custom activities/assignments with curriculum alignment and classroom announcements.

I love the overall premise of this app, it's a great way to receive info about my children. There are unfortunately a few really annoying flaws with it. I don't get any app notifications when there are new posts, and only occasionally get email notifications. I have to remember to check the app every day or I miss things. There is a share icon for content but when pressed it just restarts the app. There isn't an option to message the teacher through the app, just a link to email them.
As was pointed out by another reviewer(s), this app is not being supported any longer (noting last update was from Oct 2017, more than 4 years ago). Seems like a disconnect between schools and parents. I'm told website works, but won't use that. If the app is no longer supported, just remove it completely from the Play Store...
I enjoyed this app at first because of the updates from school and easy to switch profiles between my kids and see their progress however for the last few months I haven't been able to open the app which is unfortunate because not all things can be viewed through email alone. It has a bug that needs to be fixed by the developer asap or more and more parents are going to be frustrated and just not bother with the app anymore.
Good when it works. The app was great until it got a bug. Now it won't open and crashes all the time. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall but the bug stays. Hopefully it's fixed soon.
It will NOT work. I've Uninstalled and re installed it a few times. Still does nothing when you hit open it just says site is not working correctly and to maybe update the app. We'll there is NO option to update. Would really love to watch my grandsons dance performance........so irritating
It's no longer opening. I've uninstalled and reinstalled numberous times, restarted my phone but any time I click on load, it is on the screen for 1-2 seconds then it's gone. I can't access this which is disappointing when I need to see my child's stuff.
I recently updated my android phone and now the app crashes with notification that the big has a bug and need to contact the developer. Either way, it was such a great app to follow the progress & activity of my child during school and I can't. It's frustrating, please fix the problem!

Did software upgrade on my Samsung phone 2 days ago. Now I can't get the app to work. Tried several times to uninstall and install. Says there's a bug and contact the developer. Worked perfectly before. Many others having the same problem! Help!
The app needs to have some sort of bug fixed. Since my phones last update 1 day ago the app will not open. A message comes and says that the app itself has a bug so it won't open. I have tried reinstalling and nothing fixes this. Please fix the issue because the app is used for my kids schooling.
Update.been trying install app for 2 mths now and still now working..been emailed customer service and keep receiving the generic email with no response from anyone to help. Worst customer service and app . Not able to open the app Automatically keeps closing.. have un-installed and reinstalled 3 times.. told me to update app but unable to update as there's no update optio .. having same issues with freshgrade student as well..
No longer supported as per FreshGrade. This IS a pretty old app but our school district chooses to use it. Too bad it's not being updated. I hope the district is getting a good deal on whatever they are paying for this lack of and reduction of end user services. The web site is supposed to work still but I haven't confirmed.
App immediately crashes when I open it. I tried trouble shooting and uninstalling then reinstalling but it still won't work. I see there are lots of other parents having the same issue.
This app hasn't worked for months. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times with no luck. You tap to open it and it closes instantly before loading.
Fresh grade parents AND students stopped working halfway through the school year, and I can't even open them to see the school work I posted to pick up where I left off on another website. It's a bad app that's not worth your time and energy. I do not recommend.
The app worked before and now it doesn't even open. Like all the other comments below, a message pops up saying there is a bug and needs to be fixed by the provider. Someone fix this please!
Had this all last year and up until it's newest "update" I can no longer open the app. Have tried everything. It will not open for more than 2 seconds and then force itself to close.
Love the app, but my notifications stopped working and I can't figure out how to reinstate them. Uninstalling, then re-installing didn't work. I use the app significantly less often when I don't get notifications, because I forget to look at it.
I was really enjoying the app. It No longer opens. I have Uninstalled and reinstalled and it still doesn't work. As soon as you open it the app closes.
I used to be able to open the app but ever since I updated my phone the app stopped working and won't open. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app 3x and same thing. Hope this issue can be fixed.
Please re-enable the push notifications. They used to come up when new things were posted in Fresh Grade but I haven't seen them at all this year. (Yes, I have notifications enabled on my end, I always have.)
No way to set account notification preferences. I get emails and app notices constantly. Only way to stop it is plead with a teacher to stop posting so many pictures. This is terrible and has very limited functionality
App doesn't open since most recent phone software update. Looks like it is going to open then crashes. Redownloading doesn't fix the problem either.

App not working has a bug, as per Samsung phone. I can't see what is happening, and it was important to follow along with my kid. Pls fix this issue. I gave low rating as I feel the app should have reached out and said something by now or advs.
Does not load, update required but not available. When working it was great to gain insight on what our kids were up to.

Did the android upgrade today and I'm no longer able to even open the app. It's really upsetting since I love to watch my child's progress in school. Emailed the support department at fresh grade, hopefully they will update very soon.
This application should be removed from Google Play Store. What is the point of an app that no one can open? Tried several devices and accounts, all fail to open this app. It worked a year ago, but has not worked for months now. Seems the teacher version still works fine as us parents are always notified of new content which no one can see except the teacher lol.
