It uses CAGED system, a system that is widely used by guitar players.
It has support for left handed players.
It is support for six string guitar and bass guitar.
It covers the below scales and arpeggios;

Seventh and Sixth Chords
Pentatonic Scales
Blues Scales
Major Scale Modes
Melodic Minor Scale Modes
Harmonic Minor Scale Modes
Bebop Scales
Diminished Scales
Whole Tone Scales
The app is focused on CAGED system and learning individual "shapes" for all the above listed arpeggios and scales. Once this is accomplished you can start to play any arpeggio/scale in all available positions on the fretboard. Rather than providing big 22/24 fret charts in the app, individual C, A, G, E, D boxes are provided as separate entities - because when you learn the individual "shapes" you will already know the entire fretboard for any given arpeggio/scale.

Very clean and well thought-out showing of CAGED system of scales/modes. Isolating each position/mode is much cleaner than the clutter of having every single note on the entire fretboard annotated, like with most guitar apps. Doesn't try to do everything -- it just does one thing very well.
Just beginning to learn scales so really useful. No natural minor scale diagrams or am i missing something? Thanks for prompt reply. I use this app every day in my practice. Brilliant!
Good app. I only use it in Bass mode. Wondering why the 1st fret is not displayed in all diagrams. Only exception is in the whole tones diagram.

Very useful for my skill levels. I purchased the progression version and I found it to complicate it for my knowledge level.
No ads, and does what it says on the tin. Probably one of the only guitar apps that I find are actually useful.
Please make an option to change the "CAGED" tabs over the fretboard to "12345" and "45123" for those who prefer block numbers! Awesome app, very well done
Does what it says on the tin, and does it well. Though I'd like it if there were any option for a five string bass/12 string guitar.

Great app.. it's very helpful. I just wish there were a setting that would show the scales in alternate tunings. I mostly play in Dropped-D so this would make things so much easier for me. And maybe a view of the scales across the whole fretboard instead of just the boxes. If you could do that I would rate the app 5-stars...
