Why even offer the app for free if you can only experience 1 lesson before you have to pay? Consumers reading this: just download Yousician if you haven't already. Developers: if you're gonna steal Duolingos interface, you could at least make the free version in their image too. What a joke.
Poor. The map of the course is all over the place. Be better off on you tube. I woukd like my money back or for them to sort app out. I am trying to move onto next exercise but it's saying next lesson is tomorrow. I want it now. Or you can keep it.
This is an great app. I got through the first 2 units feeling super confident, then all of a sudden 'this lesson is locked' I understand that you need food and a roof over your head, but I'd prefer ads every now and then instead of straight up blocking me from continuing. If you have the money to spend on it, I completely recommend this app for you.
Great Lessons, a good balance between practice and information. I love the learning Path. Please add in more lessons to it and an opportunity to play the songs from learning path into the songs sections. In song section I would love to also see the name of chords along with the tab when practicing.
even though I'm a little bit advanced I just thought I'd check it out to see how you can teach others how to play easier the only complaint I have is that it's not telling you the notes but it keeps you focused on the strings and the exercise first so I guess that's a good thing because some people get frustrated it seems like it's a very good program
Really great app for learning guitar I recommend every one to download it 😁. (Give me the guitar)
So I downloaded this app as a musician of 25 years. I put in that I was a well-rounded musician and to the startup. After asking me for $15 a month for lessons they gave me a free tutorial which basically wanted me to play an E note 4 x. I will not pay $15 for lessons that don't apply to me. Especially after they asked me my experience
After almost 2 weeks, this app appears to be the perfect learning tool for me. I joined as a complete beginner and I like well thought out lesson plan, attention to basics, as well as the pace that all allow me to learn and practice the right way. The app's listening tool is a great touch as it provides and indicator of when I've not dome something correctly. I do wish that the app could be used directly on a laptop but I'm able to stream from my phone to my computer or TV so perhaps this isn't that big an issue. So far so great!
The first session was pretty good then you get to the posture lesson and you can't get any further until you pay for it. I find it pointless to pay for an app unless I know for sure it will help me. You can't start a free trial without a credit card. 5 stars but only 2 stars based on the fact they limit your time to get paid. I pay for UG and chordify but they both gave me free trials and they help me so I don't mind paying!!!
The sound recognition during practice is horrible. The cursor had a nonsensical rhythm that I had to pull and fight with. I don't know whether it couldn't pick up my sound or if it had its own automated rhythm that I was expected to play with. It was never made clear. Adjusting the speed and metronome helped a little. I had to keep repeating notes off rhythm just so the cursor would move. In the end I found playing the notes completely on my own more fulfilling, defeating the entire point.
Just really, really expensive. £14.99 a month! There are just so, so many subscription based apps these days, and I'm getting fatigued by it. The app looks somewhat decent, but I'm not going to instantly commit to a trial when I can't really afford the monthly premium - especially in an age of YouTube videos and some great free online resources for learning guitar.
I'm an advanced guitarist and stopped playing the guitar completely due to time constraints. When I started using Fretello about 1 year ago, I picked up my guitar again almost everyday and there is so much still to learn. I absolutely love the UI/UX and the customizable practice sheets and I feel like I'm improving a lot. Thanks so much for this amazing learning experience! 🙏🏼
Scientific structure of the course. Worth every penny paid! The UI could've been better : I don't see any way how to upgrade my membership from monthly to annual; I can also not undo the disabled feedback setting anywhere in the app (my phone setting has all notifications from this app enabled). Really like the reminders calling me to practice; however if ignored for a while, the app gives up and stop sending reminders. Great job overall guys! Please consider working on the suggestions.
Downloaded and was easy to set up. Main problem was when trying to tune, it was barely able to pick up the note and it fluctuated a lot. Also seems quite pricey. If you're into more modern today music, you're better off getting yousician. (This app didn't seem to offer much popular songs)
Changing my review, the app now hangs towards the end of practice bars and on scale creation. It can't preview songs without crackling/skipping. I want to like this app - I have high powered android devices that have plenty of resources to run it. It completely throws off rythm and makes practice difficult when the last bar just hangs and you can't preview a song.
This app might work for others but it was not for me. I fall somewhere between beginner and intermediate and was looking for an alternative to Yousician, which I like, but is quite expensive. This app does but have nearly the features, and I'm also annoyed at the number of emails I've gotten since signing up.
I've bought the premium version of this app. Trust me I'm greatly satisfied with this course and assignments they provide. I've been stuck on how to proceed with scales and soloing for about a year now. Now It's all starting to make sense. I had lost the heart to practice cuz I did not know where I'm going with any of this. Finally I've found a systematic approach and I'm proceeding religiously about it and the results are already great. If you could please add an option to playback the sheet. Ty
Fretello has really helped me get back into playing guitar, the lessons are great and the repetition doesn't get to where I don't want to progress through the lessons. It's good for beginners or people like me that have put down the guitar for to long and are just trying to get the basics back down.
Fretello is the best guitar app I've gotten so far i just wish you didnt have to pay after one song but so far it beats Gibson, simply guitar, justin guitar and any others really I downloaded five apps for guitar and this is the one I kept good job fretello keep up the good work love yalls app definitely 5 out of 5👍👍
It's amazing, it's free at the start not sure as it goes on, but it's teaches greatly!! I can actually pursue my guitar dream!!! Thank Youuu!!!!
The application is good. It has some issues (Not optimal sound recognition or beat detection mainly) but it's worth the value, specially if you catch a promo code. I use it daily and my playing is improving since day one. It would be nice to have some kind of level test for players that are already experienced, to tailor the experience and avoid having to grind thru too easy exercises.
I'm fairly new with learning to play the guitar. Fretello is super helpful towards learning to play the guitar and is very simple to use. Having one place where I can find my favourite songs to learn is very nice. Also, Fretello feels genuine unlike the many other apps I have used and not been satisfied with. Fretello has everything a guitarist, new or experienced, could wish for. The downfall is that you dont have access to everything but besides that its a great app :D - Jess Jones
This app doesn't give you the right feedback. I'm sitting in a silent room with no fan, no noise and I play the chords while my fingers almost about to bleed, but it won't recognize my eminor and Asus, even after strumming several times. But when I just strum the open strings on eminor lesson, the feedback says "good job" duh... Its disappointing.
Great app, easy to use. You get to practice to practice and learn at your own pace. It doesn't look like a game like you would see on the other apps. Plus the price is great, you get a whole year of teaching, practicing and more with different types of teachers for the price of about three hours with a standard music teacher.
You can't use the app at all unless you first subscribe. There is a 14 day free trial, but you must subscribe leaving the responsibility on you to cancel if you don't want to continue after trial. I don't mind paying for quality content, but a free trial shouldn't require you to enter credit card information. I don't like that design so I uninstalled it.
I like this a lot better not a bad price and for a yearly or monthly. I'm definitely going to know for sure that I'm going to refresh myself. It's been a long time since I can play I just know I'm going to learn more I just didn't keep up lessons and was taught freestyle but stopped teaching myself on actual notes . Number tabs are easy can't wait maybe this Friday I'll pay for it when I get my money guarantee and I know it will be worth it.
