Friendly for Instagram

I've been a big fan of this app for a long time ...but it's incredibly glitchy on my Pixel 6. Search function does not work, when attempting to search a name it immediately closes the keyboard. Download buttons only appear roughly 50% of the time and lately the Instagram home page feed has had all posts running together and overtop of each other. When the app works it's the best of it's kind.

Edit: the app stopped working some time ago and there's no support or updates from the devs. Great app to browse IG with no ads, plus some nice features. One thing missing is a way to see post captions from Compact View. Also messages are managed in a weird way; e.g. I have new messages notification even after reading them all. It gets a little sometimes but I guess I'm asking too much.

LETTER FOR THE APP PROBLEMS To owner of, Friendly IQ, It is good but it has alot of problems like, whenever i watch someone story it says you didn't follow this account, but i am following it. And u can't see someone post fully u have to go at the account back to see the next post, it hang alot. U should fix the all problems of the app 'cause it is good app but need some update, and please add a button for reels, so we can watch it. It's my request to u 2 solve the problem.

I used to love this app because I hate how invasive Instagram is, I've even donated because I think it's a much needed app, but it's too glitchy to be able to use functionality. If you scroll down through comments you're then unable to scroll back up, if you're watching a long video then there's no way to come out of that unless you totally close the app. What a shame

Dark mode doesn't work, none of the posts have a like button (have to double tap the image, so much for liking videos) and it's been this way for a month. Imlve reinstalled, cleared cache and storage, clearly this app is broken

It's back! So glad to see that this has been updated. -------------------- Please allow to change transparency of watermark background and auto watermark on download. Otherwise, excellent.

The client is much slower than the default Instagram app. Clicking on any image or button will take half a second to one second before there is a response. Hope that can be improved. Using 4G network with full network coverage. Compared side-by-side with default app. Also, long press on the images doesn't create a pop up view of that image.

It's really good overall. I like the compact mode without the captions, as well as the Dark Mode which isn't currently available for Instagram. Hope you guys will incorporate being able to download the other pics in a batch, because as of now only the first picture in a group of pictures in a post is saved. Other than that, hope it loads a little faster! Like when you open an Instagram page, it's kinda slow for me. Thank you!

Does the basics of what Instagram does. No ads! But... you cannot post stories or resize anything for your stories. You cannot use the share arrow to send a post to someone. However, you can tag someone in a comment when the app lets you (lets: meaning the keyboard actually pops up when you click into the chat bubble; you have to close and reopen the app to have that to work as it should). I definitely came to to Friendly For Instagram to get away from the ads, and now I'm less addicted, too. 👏

Great option to use this to avoid the crazy privacy violations & space IG & FB assume. Does sacrifice functionality: No messaging, Stories are pretty much impossible to publish or view stats/viewers (UI design does not have a "Send" button & you can't alter in the same way as on IG. UI does not easily allow you to see your Stories views easily, hit or miss, half the time downloading the Story instead, due to the controls overlapping) but you can view others' Stories fine. Some cool features!

Does give you the option to make the stories go away, which I like...but you have to redo it every time you open the app. You can save pics, which I love. I don't receive notification when my fav igs post tho, that's a bit of a bummer, hope that's a feature you're working on...overall a great IG experience, especially since you get posts in chronological order as I prefer.

I wish there was an option to hide the feed. That is the most addictive part of Instagram. I also wish I could customize whose stories I have access to. Right now we can block all or none. Also, a bug: I was tagged in a story, clicked through to it using the messages and the screen turned black and was hard to get back to normal .. happened twice in a row.

This app feels comfortable and I am happy because of the possibility of downloading posts and changing the colour. However, there is no possibility of posting more than 1 picture/video in one post, you can't record and send voice messages, you also can't choose more than 1 picture when you want to send photos to someone in messages. But I like this app

Just not very good. It does everything the social media apps do but worse. If you need this to sort your social media accounts you should delete some accounts instead of getting this terrible manager

Let me be honest. This app is a major disappointment. The features promised in the paid version worked half the time. They seem to have finally fixed however, they're only present in your main feed. Visiting photos I've bookmarked can't be downloaded. So this app does offer features but with a pretty big asterisk.

Update 06-Sep-2019: It no longer lets me pop out photos for zooming or save photos. Am I missing something? I installed this app mainly for these 2 features. Any help would be appreciated. Great app with very convenient extra functionality. Highly recommend. My only suggestion is to make its interface like the updated Instagram interface.

Very laggy compared to original Instagram. Takes multiple clicks to load a story. Original Instagram. One Click and its loads instantly. Posts take 4 to 6 seconds to fully load. Original Instagram instantly loads on a click or press. Overall this app is perfect for occasionally use or as a supplement to the main app. But if someone trying to replace the original Instagram app for this. Someone likely get frustrated fast.

Works reasonably well. I like that it does not start animations automatically and that the purchased version skips sponsored posts. Needs ability to hide story options while leaving stories enabled, liking and replying to comments from the updates page, and messaging. If it had those I could remove the default client.

Same version as the main IG, but with added feature to actually save any picture or video from it. Since the last few updates though, there seems to be a spinner at the top which sometimes stays on screen. It's also become a little bit bogged down too.

There are few things I would like you to fix (refresh as a starter, you can't keep scrolling in a profile after u open a picture, story settings (can't upload) and why don't you give an auto-play too?) other wise, i still love using this app! It is smooth, it is great and it does the job perfectly well.

The app looks promising, but when I hit the search icon and want to write what I'm searching for, my keyboard doesn't pop up. I'm using Microsoft swift key.

Further update 2/2/22, APP IS FIXED! App no longer works after update. It deleted itself from my phone. UPDATE here we are several months later and neither Google or friendly have done anything to fix this app. Which is a shame because it WAS great.

The app has suddenly stopped working. It does not load. Even tried to reinstall the application.

Thanks for fix the previos error with Samsung S6 Active OS 6.0.1 But, Now this version has another bug.... When you download an video, and open the notification of successful download, the video plays well, but when you find the video in the file manager appears with the name "VID_" without .mp4 extension. The system dont recognize the video, and cant be played. Please fix this bug, and I will to put 5 stars. Thanks...

Could be pretty awesome once they restore full functionality. I currently have the unlocked 1.1.3 - 80 version, which seems to be the most updated version. That said, it's still more full-featured that the official app, while apparently less RAM and battery-hungry.

Picture resolution is better than IG on phone screen which was shocking. I really. Just waiting for ability to edit photo & vids, auto play vids & auto scroll to next video, remove the anonymous & info radio buttons under stories. That's it so far. I havent used it much due to above comments but will give 5 starts when it is programmed more like IG platform. Thank you so much for a really nice app and hopefully on its way to be primo.
