Had this for a few years now. But since I started working from home, I have noticed some issues. Primarily with the schedule feature. I set one up and then when the weather started to cool, I didn't need it on as much. When I deactivated the schedule, the app never communicated it to the device. What's more, after resetting the device the app put now removed schedule back onto the device.

Added back to Google home on 7/2/2020! I've had a Frigidaire AC for three years now and this app has never disconnected from it. I unplug it and put it in a closet for half the year, and the next summer, it's still connected, so I'm not sure what issue everyone else is having. I can use my phone as a remote, set the AC when I'm not home. Never had any issues with the app loading. Works as intended.

Can't get the schedule function to work. That pretty much defeats the purpose of having the app. The AC I bought for half the price I can schedule to turn on through the remote each day and it works fine. Also can't get things in the settings to change either. Definitely feel like I wasted my money on this air conditioner without a working app.

"It looks like your Wi-Fi info has changed. Reconnect to your Wi-Fi to enable controls" is what it tells me nearly every I try to use it. My Wi-Fi has never changed, and it doesn't matter how many times I reconnect it. It works for about a day and that's it. Edit: The unit is in the same room as my WAP within about 15 ft. I have no problems with any other wireless devices. Even if it were a connection quality issue there's no reason it should permanently forget the network every time.

The app's connectivity wasn't so good, it took me a few days trying to connect it, but at least it works ok now. Also it gives false notifications sometimes, like the bucket is full when it's not or clean the filter when it's not dirty, I had to unplug and reset. Frigidaire should put more time and effort into the application, it's convenient for people interested in home automation. The price difference between the WiFi enabled device isn't little. Please do regular updates for the application.

Love the A/C unit. App needs work. When the app stays connected, I'd give it 4* instead of 5 mainly because I've never been able to close the app the same way I close hundreds of other apps. And now, it has started losing connectivity to my WiFi network. It can be a real pain to get it connected again. I have numerous devices on the network, and everything else stays connected. I don't want to have to buy a different brand A/C unit. Please build a better app.

Scheduling for my air conditioner is restricted to just two periods per day. Why not allow as many as I want? I like it cold when I sleep, cool when I'm awake in the morning and evening, and warmer when I'm at work, but I can't do that with only two periods per day. The app hides useful features like the Clean Air toggle in a separate Settings screen instead of on the main control screen.

Frustrating. Had this app for years with various phones and versions. It's still slow. Hate the "Thinking..." animation. Considering buying a 3rd party remote because every time I open the app it has disconnected from the server and needs to be restarted. An action like turning the AC on/off that should only take a second takes way too long. Scheduling is bugged. Expected better for a $300 AC from a well-known brand.

It is painfully difficult to connect devices. When the cloud, which needs to be up in order for this app to work, was recently down for maintenance, I had to uninstall and reinstall the app before getting the alert stating as much. My wife and I had factory reset our AC unit, and now I can look forward to the excruciating process of reconnecting it because our already signed-in apps weren't telling us that. Guys - get it together!!! This app is supposed to be a selling point, not a hassle.

The app timer feature and scheduling feature is extremely frustrating! I work in the technical support field and I am very familiar with many apps. The air conditioning unit works very well to keep my house cool. I have read all the reviews online and I am surprised by the "fixes" that Frigidaire has "imposed" their customers regarding the issues we are experiencing with this app. Simply put,.. in my opinion, Frigidaire can't invest in a better app. Sad..

Dehumidifier app has insufficient info... it doesn't tell you much. You can power the unit off and on & change the humidity %, but it doesn't tell you if the unit is running. If we set it to 50%, it still runs for 10-20 minutes or more after reaching that percentage. We replaced a recalled Frigidaire dehumidifier with this one. This interface for this app is disappointing and the integration with Amazon Alexa is awful. We can only command it for on & off. App doesn't link to Google Home.

this has got to be the worst app ever created it's got sliders that you try to slide settings on instead of just having buttons to select what you want. The device constantly resets what you're trying to set.. it's enough to make you want to throw your phone against the wall. also if you ever try to use a sleep timer once it will put a schedule into the device that you have to factory reset to get rid of.

Absolute waste of time. App freezes repeatedly. Attempted to set schedules 3 times and gave up in frustration. At least the a/c works. UPDATE: Not only does it continue to freeze, it now has connectivity issues. Anna from Frigidaire, I don't have time to waste calling your company. I don't need help because I know how to use the app. What your customers need is for your company to fix the app. No point in having it if it doesn't work.

wifi pairing is finicky, if a little bizarre. was concerned this app wasn't going to work at all with the smart connect ACs based on other reviews (here and elsewhere) but got it working successfully eventually. scheduling seems to work as advertised so that's great. the app itself is kind of bad though. why does the app only go into landscape mode? that should definitely be a high priority item to fix for this app. ui elements cover text and are hard to use when the app is stuck in landscape.

This app is total trash and makes my purchase of this AC a big waste of money. I paid the extra money for the wifi capabilities on this unit, but I can't use them because the app never works. It won't stay connected to the wifi, and if I want to reconnect? Well, I have to uninstall and download the software all over again to have it not work again. I'm sure Frigidaire can afford to hire someone competent enough to make a user friendly app that works.

Hot garage from Frigidaire. Every time i power my air conditioners up every summer im reminded how terrible this app is. Constant errors of "hmmm this is taking longer than expected" only to have to cancel and relaunch the app again to try to re-pair the device. "Unable to find local networks" Okay so you aren't able to detect my enterprise grade Ubiquiti network. No worries ill just configure manually. Oh just in time for the wireless setup network on the device to time out.

It took me over half an hour to set up on Pixel 2 XL, and mostly by trail and error. This is so disappointing, I thought that the unit was defective. Also you can't directly control the AC with Google Assistant, you have to set up custom routines to control it using your voice. According to the writing on packaging and the manual direct voice control thru Google Assistant should be possible but was removed in app update. Linking Frigidaire app to Google Assistant is only possible by a web link.

This app has a lot of issues setting up. I tried using my phone and my iPad to set up the wifi connection, but there is always problems connecting to the internet. I have even tried two different routers. Howover it did work a few days later. But even so, the app was not intuitive to use, and very slow.

It works, just not very reliably. I work with IT for a large company and I found the app offered little feedback while trying to connect and some of the buttons were overly sensitive where I would fly past a needed screen with no way to go back. Then start all over again. And to connect to my Google home I have to go register and install a completely different app?!?

I been using the app for 4 years, no problems with the install and connection setup. Now this app is just so slow to respond, the schedule setup UI is incomprehensible and I haven't seen any UI progress in 4 years. I would imagine such a big company would be deep into smart home automation and better integration with Google Amazon and Apple I mean 4 years from now most of our appliences would be connected to these platforms in someway. Please make it faster and user friendly.

Useless!! I have a GE AC and not a single issue. Once plugged in, the app sees the AC and guess what, it works!!! Maybe Frigidaire should collaborate with GE and ask for help. What a waste of money! I will never buy another "smart" device from Frigidaire again. Please don't respond about doing a factory reset, etc. I've done everything but throw the AC out the window! It's not rocket science, build a frigging app that works and a remote to access all the AC features!

installing a new Frigidaire AC unit. Set up the account on my Android phone with no difficulty (including email confirmation). Could not complete the set up, app kept timing out. Switched to my iPad, logged into the account, and set up with no difficulty. After the AC was connected to wifi, i could then control with both Android and IOS devices.

App works well after successful setup with appliance. Took several attempts to link my A/C and Wi-Fi but works pretty well afterwards. There is a minor lag between input to actual function when the app is "thinking" but not deal breaker. There are several advantages to using this app over the IR remote. Tip: Link your A/C device to your 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi via phone, tablet etc. Once setup is completed successfully you could switch your phone, tablet etc to 5Ghz if available.

Bad App - after the login it goes directly to add an appliance. It's been there. I just want to frickin connect! Trying to connect my phone with the AC and I get a message that reads, "network connectivity issue" even though I tested my WIFI, reset at the plug, unplugged and plugged again. On hold with customer service forever. Ugh!

This app is pretty terrible and the servers behind it almost never work. They either don't respond or say they're in maintenance. The app handles disconnection badly and shows incorrect info rather than say that the command failed. It also does a poor job with context switching. i.e. switching to another app and back results in the app getting so confused it's better to kill the app and start over.

not only the app wants you to create an account for it (who needs an account for a freaking AC?!), it is also pretty useless in the end. The app wouldn't move on with the set-up saying "please make sure you're connected to the Air_Conditioner WiFi network". I AM connected to it, but in the WiFi settings it says "internet might not be available". So the AC WiFi doesn't keep my phone connected and the app wouldn't let me move on without that connection. How do I break that vicious circle?

06/07/20: OMG! Freaking horrible app & ACs.It keeps turning ACs on by itself even though there's nothing scheduled and once on, it keeps changing the temps by itself!We already reset several times.Total energy waste!I DON'T RECOMMEND FRIGIDAIRE! -*s. 10/02/19: Simply bad app and bad appliances connection. The issue seems to be from both. Over and over issues with the app or the "connectivity". Everything else is working just fine except Frigidaire. Don't recommend their products and the app.
