FRITZ!App WLAN acts as a client, any remote site as a iperf server. During the tests the different parameters of the TCP/UDP protocol are altered; ping, DNS and HTTP requests are sent to gather information concerning the available bandwidth, latency, fluctuation and data loss in the network.Information about the user rights required for this app:
• Near Field Communication: is used to control wireless connections via NFC/Android Beam
• Device ID: The device ID is used to store the password securely in each individual device.
• Call information: Along with the Device ID, the call information belong to a group predefined by Google. This call information is not used by the app.
• Microphone: The microphone and the camera belong into a group predefined by Google. This microphone function is not used by the the app.
• Access to the camera: necessary for reading the QR code
• Vibration: Haptic feedback to confirm that the QR code has been read
• Camera flash: May also be needed to read the QR code
• Wake lock: For switching the screen timeout on and off
• Change or delete contents of USB storage/SD card: For the sharing function information is cached locally before sending
• Test access to protected memory: Check for write rights on USB storage/SD card for sharing function
• Change network connectivity: Establish and clear wireless LAN connections
• Change system settings: Save sorting sequence of radio networks
• Call up wireless LAN connections: Check whether WLAN is switched on/off
• Call up network connections: Check status of wireless LAN connections
• Access to all networks: Query of the FRITZ!Box firmware/model number

I was trying to set up my Fritz!Box for almost 5 hours now and I don't even know what the problem is. I've been trying to reach the customers interface for hours and no matter what I do it won't open. Tried to get the app but still nothing works and I'm really fed up. I do have some good experiences with another Fritz!Box though. It worked absolutely smoothly and there was nothing to complain about but I really don't like the new 7590 this thing is super unreliable.
This app is very good and does its job. However, I don't know why it doesn't allow us to see channels 149+ in the 5Ghz band... I'd like it if you added support for those channels in the related graph :)
Good concept, doesn't work for me, though. I was trying to use it in order to connect to eduroam (the european education wifi network), wich works with a user/password combination. The app asks for a password, but doesn't do anything after that.
I liked the app,before. now it's useful only to see wifi strength.I used this app before for connecting to my router as sometimes my repeater fails,but now i cant connect to router,i need to turn off the repeater to be able to connect to router.
Would be nice if the app could trigger WPS for the Fritz's guest WiFi through its Share Network feature. There's a lot of stuff here that I don't need. Ideally, the Share WiFi feature should be incorporated into the MyFritz app.
Good layout with lots of information. Good to check wifi quality in the house. Especially useful when you have Fritz mesh devices as you can easily compare connection quality to the different devices in your mesh.
Useful functionality and design, especially the goodput measurement! There's just an issue where it breaks when app-switching in the graph.
What a joke! I use this with Fritz Box Router which is fantastic device but this app is useless joke. Since yesterday I have problem with my internet connection eg. no internet, but this app showing constantly that my internet connection is strong and fast. Useless. Unistalling.
For the handling of wifi it is doing the job...but one very important feature is missing - on the network devices i can't change the access profile of the user, for example if you want to grant/block internet time to your children
Junk. Installed only to help locate a repeater. Just says "No FritzBox found" and "evaluate position" is disabled. My 3490 is configured as a master already. Why on earth does it need to see that anyway ?
The application works great. I would like to propose one enhancement request: to use this application as a "sonar" to determine the WLAN signal strength. Pitcher sound for higher signal strength 😉
I like the app, but as long as the app doesn't close via recents, notifications or has an embedded close the app button I have to give 1 star for this annoying closure process which forces me to go to the android app settings and push the Force Stop button
Problem is now fixed, and app is ready for Wifi 6. Thanks very much! Now displays up to channel 172. Great app, great devices!
Thats awwsome app but please dear team add some option to block some sites for under ages and can block some in our router please it will help students to be far of scamm and playing some addictive games, with best regards sayedy
Text of reviews in playstore (the android site) cannot be copies and hyperlinks don't work - makes suggests of sites that could help with a problem virtually useless.
Can no longer connect to WiFi networks from the App and it does not recognise networks already known by the device itself.
Here my problem: Cubot P30 does not connect on WiFis, I don't know why... So, can this app work better than the pre-installed???

Can't really say alot about this as most of it is in German,i don't read German,use to be good app not sure now as can't use most of the functions
