Fronius Solar.web pro

This app has so much potential to be great... But sadly it just isn't there yet. When it works it's amazing; it's easy to access, read and use. That being said, it just doesn't work the majority of the time... There's no logical reason for it to read offline; the internet is stable, the inverter is online, the battery shows that it is charging, but alas the app just doesn't work! Restarting the app, phone or inverter doesn't work. It just spontaneously works in time... So much potential, wasted

I have had lots help from fronius to get the app set up and running. However I have to drop to 2 stars because the app is constantly offline so I can't get any real-time data. It just misses whole days of showing me what's been generated. It also only shows $130 as the amount of money made by the panels. I just wish it would upadet and not be offline all the time. Money spent on the unit should be accompanied by a good app to back it up

New app is rubbish in comparison to previous, doesn't have links to web account and regularly won't connect, particularly when I'm away from home. Also complains it can't connect to wifi and wants to connect to inverter instead of simply using the account data.

Useful app. However more information is available from the solar.web website (even in mobile view), and it's presented more clearly on the website. If these advantages of the website could be translated to the app, it would be great. However one key benefit of the app is it loads faster and there's no need to repeatedly log in again.

Worked immediately. App gives info that it says it will. Tip for new users: Do not click on the Setup Wizard, that's only for setting the comms to the inverter itself (done by installer), not for setting up this app. Just login using same details as used when you set up your Fronius account (which you need to have done on line first). That's all you do.

It works OK some days. Continually need to log back in and remove/re-add the widget. The widget, when working doesn't update stats regularly and I often have to force an update. Doesn't have a daily summary of import vs export as the Web site does.

I have this app on my desktop as well as my phone. The phone app is always dropping out and I have to always log out then log in to get it to work. However, the desktop app was fantastic until about a month ago. After many frustrating hours of trying to find out why it was not working with message No Connection to Solar Web, I eventually got on to Fronius who advised that Fronius had made some security changes to the app and the PV System part of this app was no longer available and to just use the Solar Web live. This was ok but now I am getting the message outdated browser and there is only 1 section of this app working. Again after hours of trying to work out what is happening as I do have the latest browser, I realised that it is the browser that the app is using that is outdated not mine. Fronius please fix this app and restore it to how it was working before you made all these changes.

Save youself the money. The paid app has no additional functionality over the browser interface. In fact, the browser interface provides more functionality and features. Quite disappointing.

provides some good data, if yiu have the added smart meter, but it could be way better, seen an app for other brands providing extra detail on panels, load etc. also was not able to find a setting to change units .. from uk to international.. kg/km.

Takes a bit to find ones way around.. After that all good. Very accurate. So accurate it has shown bugs in NZ Genisis supplier apps bugs.. Eg adding used off the grid and sent to grid together. Been over a month for Genisis NZ with still no fix.

My partner has the iphone version and it's much better to use. The developers obviously spent more time on the iphone version that the android version. Definately not worth the $5. When logged into the website, it has much more info and detail, plus u can create reports and see more detailed information on your system.

Very difficult to connect to the internet, I even hardwired it!!!! Even when it works it gives a very low level of information, power generated, that's basically it.

**ZERO SUPPORT** Would give no stars if possible. This app is basically useless, it's not as good as the free app and if you have trouble they'll attempt to fob you off, not answer emails etc. **UPDATE** the app performance has improved, as has the support. But it's still not flash.

The app worked fine for 2 months and now I see nothing on the app, it says it is offline. I tried to uninstall and install and it now complains with this error message "No internet connection established. Please setup an internet connection and try again." I must add here that my solar.web account on the website works fine but the app isn't happy but I don't know why? Could someone please be kind enough to help? Thanks

Login has stopped working as of late Oct 2019. Doesn't work on the free version either. My login works fine on the website. The website is actually a lot better anyway. This app could seriously do with a decent update.

The app needs alot of work! Never loads up and is so slow, have to delete the app and re- install to get it to work sometimes, and even then it doesn't always work

Since being logged out roughly at the end of October, I can no longer view data. It just gets stuck and says "loading data". It works fine from a browser

This was what I was looking for , great app with lots of information on the dashboard. It would be great if we could configure the electricity prices for different timings.

A lot of information is not needed. What is needed is grid import and export as well as solar generation. There is no summary data for grid imports. It is a good inverter it is a pity the app software lets them down.

Needs updates, looks like app has not had any love for a while. Why not show totals for data like total power from grid used, total exported, total own generated used, etc.

Luckily I didn't pay money for this pro version. Like many others it stopped loading in Oct 2019. I use the free version but actually just made a bookmark for the Web page and use the info online. Fronius is a good Inverter, their app not so much

This app is absolute rubbish. Hard to connect and does not provide much information of use other than output. I would give zero stars if I could and would reconsider even buying a Fronius as it is impossible to see how it is performing.

This app hasn't had any updates for over 2+ years and isn't compatible with newer phone or version of Android. Mine is a Samsung S9. Refund and uninstalled.

Very poor digital experience. Cheaper inverters have much better UI and info display. Please update the app to be better!

for me I find this app confusing and less useful than the basic live app. However, it may have more use for installers and people more into analysing their energy scource.

Frustratingly every few days you have to delete the widget, log back in on the app and then re-add the widget.
