I can't get this to work since the last update on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 FE, where EVERYTHING ELSE works. The app is always "thinking" or shutting down. It wasn't great before, but at least it worked 3/4 of the time. Looking @ the amount pand monthly, this should work!
The app has not worked in a month or so. I keep getting a message saying there is a bug and it is waiting for the developer to correct the issue so I can get the updated version. Hope he finds the problem soon.
Horrible since update. Starts up fine and then immediately shuts down. This is on a Galaxy E table. I've tried everything including a full tablet reset.
The latest update is not allowing to stream from the DVR and the worst is that Frontier knows about it and still have not fixed it.
This app will not run on a new Samsung tablet. On an existing installation, it runs but won't play tv.
Will no longer connect to my phone or tablet. I have even tried reauthorization for my mobile devices. Frustrating
I can't even get it to work for the DVR when I I'm connected to my internet it tells me I am not home. It worked just fine before the update๐๐๐
Crashes every time I use it Still not working properly. Why even offer an app that is this bad!
App never recognizes my login. I can login to the regular frontier app but never the frontier tv app.
Used to work great ... now I get a "Response Error" on the Dashboard. Don't know what that is all about. Also, the Category Filters for TV Listings don't work anymore, if I select any of them (except All) the listings are grayed out. Whatever ... all I really use it for is setting the DVR to record something when I'm not actually watching TV so its all stuff I can live with, but still annoying when something that was working fine is not anymore. Given what other users are complaining about I suppose I should feel blessed.
The app keeps crashing, gives error message that there is no internet connection. Puts this notice in middle of screen. If you ignore it you can't watch tv because it blocks most of the screen but it keeps playing the show. If you acknowledge the error it crashes and shuts off and you can not restart for sometime. Have uninstalled and reinstalled still the same problem. Hope they find a fix because to me this is useless.
update 8-1-19 complete POS. Less than 30 feet from route and it will not stay connected. New S9 phone (Not 3 months old) that has been check and is fully functional. you are restricted from watching subscribed Network channels Needs a lot of work. Channel selection is a pain, you select device and nothing happens. You are not given to watch subscribed channels in your own home. you must scroll thru all channels to get what you are looking for. On second thought I may be rating you too high.
This app is a piece of junk. When I signed up for Frontier service, I was told that I could use it to watch all of my subscribed channels while away from home. Turns out that was a flat out lie. The app can only display subscribed channels when connected to my home network. Additionally it keeps losing it's connection to the few channels it does let me access.
Most channels displayed in tv listings do not have the watch icon. I have to click one that does and scroll to the channel that I want. Most annoying is that it doesn't display my favorites in dashboard below the program I'm viewing for quick channel switching. I have to scroll past dozens of channels I don't watch. Isn't the point of favorites to have a short channel list? Last function is only one channel back, why not have a choice of last 3, 4, 5 or 6?
Still quite buggy Happened to upgraded my Samsung phone recently. And it is working a bit better. Still occasionally drops out of DVR playback. The fast forward and reverse controls show up again once when you touch the screen. The were not showing up anymore on my old Samsung. If you flip the screen they will show up again when you touch the screen, so that 8s a bypass for me of this bug.
Frontier is the worst! Dvr freezes. Asked for a new one three times, they sended old ones with the same issue. The streaming app never works. Keep trying to watch tv on my phone with no success. They cancelled BEin Sports. Customer service is horrible. Never adds any new channels. Weather channel still not available. Still waiting for my $200.00 gift card for switching provider, after four months. Be aware before you sign up!
This app is no longer good, it used to work great! But now I even have trouble downloading the app itself.
You went from a working app to a nonfunctional app. Can not stream a thing. Ridiculous.
The Frontier TV app has fortunately been updated since my last review. Not as wonky as it was back then. Still needs some work on minor connection issues. Nevertheless, this app is one of the main reasons I stay with Frontier. I appreciate being able to watch recorded content on my tablets.
I would love it if it didn't stop so frequently. Screen goes black and I have to hit the red "retry" button 3 times and then the program usually restarts. Wish you could fix that. Update 5-4-22: NOW I can't get anything at all. When I try to open, screen message says "Frontier TV has stopped." This message has been going on for over two weeks. Change my star rating to zero zero zero....... The app is completely worthless to me.
