Like most of the Frontpoint Security system experience, the app is marginal. I get notifications but not all notifications. You can't really keep your business safe with this company. I got it because it was cheap to get into. I'm replacing it because it wasn't up to the task and I got robbed. Tech support is a joke. All the robbers had to do was kill the power. It was an inside job and they knew that Frontpoint hadn't supplied my shop with a new battery and didn't supply a new one.

The setup for the main part of the system went without a problem and works well. However, the doorbell camera failed to be recognized. I was sent a replacement, and that doorbell camera also failed. There should be no excuse for this to happen.

Outrageous! I initially enjoyed having Frontline in my home for the first few years we had them.. When they updated the home panel 2 years ago everything changed. I have struggled with customer support for the length of my contract to get my billing correct. Noone cares! You spend hours on hold just to find the same issues the next month. You can instantly get help if you want to upgrade your service, but not if you have a legitimate issue. GOOD LUCK!

It's has amazing features. HOWEVER, I am using an Android phone and I can't get the program on the SECURITY SYSTEM SETTINGS page to go "live" on any of the features. This means I can't control ANY of the volume, lights, Night Hours, or even access to the Panel Wi-Fi!!!!! All of the changes have to be made through a phone call. Can't even control them from the desktop!!!

The 2-way audio and video features are terrible in this mobile app. I have multiple indoor FrontPoint cameras attached to my system and the audio very rarely works on any of them. On occasions it does work though so I know it's not a configuration issue. Keep in mind that I am not making any changes to the system or cameras in between the times when they do and don't work. Most often the microphone button used to speak through the cameras is just missing.

I'm in my 30 day trial so I'm trying to test it as much as possible. Most function work but the hub volumn and dimmer are frozen and can't be adjusted. Even using my computer I cant make any adjustments. I can call customer service and have them do it but that's an inconvenience. last night I set my alarm to "stay" but this morning the app and the computer both indicated disarmed. That's not good. I do like all the options but I would like a better garage door sensor because the door opens too mu

The app contols the arming and disarming options of the hub but the volume and LED brightness controls don't work on my phone. They work on my wive's phone even though it's the exact same model (LG G6). I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling and every setting there is. It won't even let me send feedback to the company. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because I can arm and disarm the system. After some reading online, this is apparently a very common problem.

We use the Qolsys Touch Panel and Android OS as our devices when using the remote feature. The app itself is reliable with little to no delay of using the system. I would bet most problems on this platform stem from users using the new hub system they came out with. Solution: Users should op to get Qolsys Panel if still given the option. To Frontpoint, their is a saying that goes “If it isn't broken, don't fix it." So please throw the hub in the trash and stick to what works.

Horrible experience with FrontPoint. Our equipment went out and they knew about it, but didn't notify us. Everything seemed to be working on our end. Later they cancelled our service without telling us and kept taking payments for a year! We only found out when we went to change our serve. We've been without service for most of the time - and billed for it. Setup is easy, but it seems like the company is run by crooks!

Mostly like the app except for the video camera and door bell camera troubleshooting, which are beyond stupid and take way too much time. I recently added a second router in a mesh arrangement and it was easier to just reset the first one and rename it. Getting the cameras set back up takes way too long when I could have just cut to the chase as I knew what the problem was.

I am a big fan of Frontpoint as a whole. The system works great and we love having the app paired with it. The one suggestion I have that would take this to a 5 star review is a Panic Button in the app. There is one on my control panel, but in case of an emergency I can't always reach it. It would be great to have that option via the app as well.

Could have more basic functions and be more intuitive. Cannot change names of sensors from the app. Door Window etc Cannot change audible on hub from "door" to just chime sounds when doors or windows are opened or closed. When I looked up how this is done, it says you need to call them to make the change. Seems completely unnecessary. I was trying to not go back to Comcast because I like some of the remote and garage tilt features from Front Point, but they are lacking some serious basics.

Frontpoint was one of the best companies for alarm systems but they, and their app, have gone down the drain. Nothing seems to work right anymore. Try to call in and they have huge wait times and throw you into a callback queue. When they do call you back they must psychically know when you are working or in the bathroom. Then of course that's it from them, you have to start all over. The equipment setup in the app doesnt work right, especially for adding new equipment. Avoid.

Mostly of the features are great. Two major downsides are that for one my phone often takes two tries to connect to the doorbell camera, meaning I miss whoever pushed the button. Second if I don't manage to answer the doorbell call the camera doesn't record a video like it does for any other motion.. which seems like of ridiculous. Wouldn't that be an important time to record?

Not very functional. You can't disable sensors from the app (which if you have a 9lb cat and their motion sensor you'll need to, even though its supposed to take a 50lb animal to set it off). You can't rename sensors. And when you go to get new sensors set up, it will work maybe 1 out of every 15 attempts. The rating would be one star if it included Frontpoint's service. Shop around first. Edit: 2 years later, same issues. Sensor setup is consistently a failure.

The appworks..These people are only interested in your subscription. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE! I had the service for several years, sold my house and notified them 30 days in advance (Feb 2021), they are still charging my credit card. they continue to claim the cancellation hasn't been entered into the system, although they can see multiple disputed calls. I have called them to issue credit every month also disputed charges on credit card. I have eventually gotten the credits. Not an honest business

I've been becoming more and more frustrated with FrontPoint overtime and this app only adds to the frustration. To begin with this app (for Android) doesn't have all the features that they have for iOS. On top of that, all there help documentation is written for iPhone users. To add insult to injury, that means you MUST call technical support. When I first bought the system, I'd instantly get someone on the line. FrontPoint. Now you get a recorded messages and they call you back a day later.

I must say after you get the equipment setup this app is pretty awesome and easy to use. I was even able to use this when I was vacationing in Europe no problem. The only addition I can add is when you get a new system it would be helpful in the documentation to state that the numbers that are on each sensors actually designate the sensors so it's easier to talk with tech support. I say this cuz I already installed sensors and didn't realize I needed those numbers.

I wouldn't suggest Frontpoint to anyone. The hardware for Frontpoint is not good. Takes minutes for the doorbell notification to appear on my phone. The doorbell video doesn't load majority of the time nor does it record when it's supposed to. The security panel is always at low battery. You have to verbally cancel your contract and then they will still charge you an extra 30 days after cancellation.

Spotty reliability. About 80% of time unable to view live camera footage, saying "disconnected", but light on camera indicates connected and yet able to access footage thru the website. Uninstalling and reinstalling app not helpful. Really frustrating that this happens continually. Have tried troubleshooting camera thru app which then says reconnected, but still doesn't connect.

This app is missing 3 key features 1. There is NO way to delete multiple videos saved by cameras, which results in 100s of pictures being deleted one at a time. THIS NEEDS FIXED! 2. This app cannot tie into a Google home network, so you cant do simple things like lock or unlock the door with google. 3. The doorbell camera must be accessed via the app which takes time to load. by the time the App loads and opens the video I usually catch the person as they are walking away. Very displeased.

App works great, customer service excellent. I am not sure of the reasons for some of the 1-star reviews. Can't delete video? Of course you can? Can only be used as a weather app? Weather is the one thing I haven't been able to find on the app, but everything else works perfectly. Customer service was more than happy to remain on the phone and walk me through the 1 or 2 issues that I was having and now everything works great.

The app works pretty well. However, due to a major flaw IMO, my home is unprotected for hours at a time in a normal use case due to the system not able to distinguish between an automated lock and a manually locked door. The company refuses to address the issue and after 10 months it is still not fixed. Due to a three year contract I am stuck paying with a lack of protection. Run away!
