Fruits and Vegetables

The SmartEdApp Fruits & Vegetables can be used to teach, learn, practice, re-teach and assess the pronunciation and identification of a variety of fruits and vegetables. The app allows recording of audio during the session in addition to capturing scores that can be reviewed and shared through email with parents, teachers, therapists and other interested parties.
Administrators love that they finally have a thoroughly collaborative tool:

• Recorded sessions and data can be stored and/or e-mailed to classroom teachers, parents and/or administrators.

• Teachers and therapists can create and monitor all IEPs.

• Students can have the pronunciations read back to them as often as they like.

• All student verbal responses can be recorded and compared to the audio track.

• Change the mode to match instruction to what each student is ready for: labeling and naming, context clue sentence support, independent reading, and more.

Teachers love that the app comes with many everyday fruits and vegetables:

• Pre-loaded sub folders such as common/uncommon, citrus and tropical fruits and vegetables remind teachers that they can differentiate instruction.

• Additional sub folders to personalize instruction can be created with just a couple of taps and named after a student or an instructional group.

• Match folder content to classroom instruction, Common Core Standards (RL.4, RIT.4), or science concepts.

Students love that everyone is included:

• Create and add as many players as you want.

• Add a player’s first and last name or initial.

• The Fruits & Vegetables app comes with the additional functionality of playing the entire session in a male or female voice or with the ability to alternate between both. At the time of player creation, the player can choose a preferred voice to be the app’s narrator.
