Needs a lot of improvements, but the most basic one is when I tap on a notification that the app gave me, it would be really helpful to go directly to the story referenced in the notification rather than opening to the home page of the app. It is also painful to find stories at times...just not a well organized app experience.

This is terribly glitchy on my Windows Surface. I like reading the paper format, clicking to open the articles that catch my attention. However, more than half of the time I cannot get the article to open and have to end up zooming in to read it. But more often than not, this is made impossible also - it either won't zoom in at all, or it will zoom in but not allow me to move the article around to read the whole thing. Sometimes I have difficulty then shrinking it again. It makes reading the paper a very frustrating experience. The Beta version on my iPhone is great. I guess they have not tried to fix the one for Microsoft.

Glitchy on Samsung tablet. This new version is a mess. I set preferences but they didn't take effect. If read a story in the opening view and try to switch to the replica, it crashes. Can only read the replica view by zooming in and out. If I tap on a story, it crashes. Please fix this horrible app! I'm not paying to stay a customer if it's not fixed! UPDATE The FAQs don't address the problems with this buggy app. It suddenly worked for a few days, but stopped working at all yesterday. JUNK

The app has some issues, like ocassionally crashing or locking up, but it works well enough to be useful. For a while we were having a bigger problem that could not get the Extra Extra pages but that was resolved by good customer support.

Now unable to get extra extra on tablet. Wife gets it on her phone. Have deleted the app and reinstalled several times. Today the app only loaded 16 pages. And I really do not like new Sunday layout. I want a paper not a magazine. Please fix!!!

It was a perfectly good program u modified it and totally screwed it up. I thing there are to numerous bugs that need to be fixed. Program locks up, wont go from page to page, won't open up half the time. If not fixed soon I will cancel my subscription

The latest update makes this app useless. We haven't been able to get the page layout version to load on a reliable basis. I guess they want to make it useless so we'll go back to a printed edition. I have reported my problems with no repsonse from the paper. Ready to cancel my subscription!

Update required today. New interface asks me to choose my topics. No issue there but after selecting my topics there is no button, menu, or anything else to save my choices and view the paper. I guess it's time to switch to another news source. I have a Samsung Note10+.

Dont like it any more. New format is so unlike the old one that was more like a paper layout. Can't get comics, Abby, obits, etc. without going to the web site version. App is now basically free access to the stories without subscribing. It has old stories along side new ones, unlike a daily paper. Not going to use this!!!

Used the old app and was satisfied. The new app is not well thought out. Much slower, 8 to 10 seconds for each page to load. Who has that much time? Too many other sources for news to be this frustrated. Can't believe advertisers think this is a good value.

I was subscribed via Google play for a few months, but when trying to access some content I was told I didn't have a valid login. After many emails, and Screenshots of my receipts, support continued to seem to not know of the existence of my subscription. Do not subscribe via Google play.

Subs. to print and digital. Carrier very professional, cust. service/billing not at all. Long-term subscriber & recently had payment taken from bank account for nearly double my subscription price & ZERO WARNING OF IT. Live on a tight budget & this caused me to have overdraft fees. Not my fault/problem if others couldn't negotiate better rates. Canc subscript & was told could take up to 10 bus days for the refund WHY??, when only took two days to take it out 🤬 Half time digital didn't work too

As a native Fort Worthian, I am more dependant than ever on major headlines and news. This app has kept me informed in a general sense. The wording is concise, the story sums up what' happened in a nutshell, and it is short of having the actual paper delivered electronically or via pistal service to my mailbox. I am happy with this Star T. App!

My first experience with this app? Very poor - despite my getting notifications about stories published in it, it won't load onto my Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet despite its having been installed. I'm re-installing and giving it another try before giving up entirely.

App won't even open. I Uninstalled and reinstalled and still will not open. I get notifications and they will only open if I choose the browser one. The app ones do not open. - Issue resolved

Do not subscribe to this paper... My subscription was supposed to terminate after 2 months but the rep who sold it to me was a liar. They're still charging me 10 months later. I've talked to multiple reps who claimed to terminate this subscription. They just tried to pull a payment off my credit card this morning. Do not subscribe to this overpriced paper. There's many other free sites to get the news from. Plus the hassle of trying to cancel your subscription isn't worth it. Zero stars

Have been using this app for 5+ years and for the past week I've had nothing but trouble trying to read the enews. Constantly refreshes when I go the next page and won't come back. Any help would be appreciated

It would be nice if you offered some free articles daily instead of making the casual reader pay a $15.99 a month digital subscription for something they will maybe read once or twice a month. I uninstalled because of this. I'm giving one star because of this as well.

App is pretty and stable, but has poor usability. There is no method to read articles of a specific category without scrolling down through a flat list of all articles.

Wont run on my device. It took weeks for the previous app to get functional, & now some moron decided to fix what wasnt broke and thoroughly broke it, not just on Android but IOS & Windows too. They are really good at chasing off subscribers.

takes several minutes to open, often closes back to opening screen, SLOW RESPONSE on all screens. Over all, a giant step backwards from previous version.

New version not nearly as user friendly as previous version. For some unknown reasons, I have been unable to login to my digital account for two days and counting.

You cannot search for articles you can only read what they push or that days edition. I have a subscription but on the website when I pull up the article it wants me to log in, then when I log in it pushes me to the home page and I have to research for the article cue repeat. Thought I could solve this with the app, but I cannot search for the article I want to read.

The app asks for my preferences but then won't actually go to the newspaper. Very frustrating.

The app was great until some idiot decided to make it better. The Faq did not match icons on screen. The expand to full screen does not work.

I have had this app for years..now they making me pay for it..if that was the case ill go buy a paper from my corner store..cheaper than what yall are charging me for the app!!! Do not install this app..try news break app its better for your local dfw news..thank me later...and they dont charge you to use thier app..try news break its free..n releases updated and right now news..better than star telegram..you welcome

Android app has stopped working for the digital replica edition. Repeated online queries to Star-Telegram customer service have gone unnoticed. I recommend you not subscribe to this paper online, which, as a 33 year subscriber, is regrettable.

Absolutely love that my city's paper has a digital version. So easy to navigate through.

Quit working with chrome earlier in week. Downloaded update today which didn't fix problem. Useless update. Customer service no help.

They took a good app and ruined it.I want to read it like a newspaper not a 8.5x 11 typed page! Go back to how it was.
