Very ugly and very difficult to use. It does however work!
Expected more from ftdi, this is old in look and feel and doesn't have support for baud 1000000 or 2000000
You love it
This app is easy to use and it is great to have on an Android platform. I encourage the developers to keep adding functionality.
Works perfectly with my TTL-232R-3V3 cable on Asus ZenFone 2 laser 550KL. Terminal is not well graphically designed but serves the purpose well.
Does the job. Just wished it would not apply a shading on the last line of input but still readable and usable
DroidTerm had no problem reading from my serial usb adapter (wemos d1 integrated serial) but this app keep saying that no device was attached...
Won't connect! Two different phones, Samsung S3 (Android 4.4.4 & 4.3) with standard OTG (works with mouse, keyboard and storage). Won't connect to 3 different FTDI devices, all FT232R chip. Also tried direct USB connection.
Connection is fine. But cannot transmit data from Android to FT232RL, but receives data fine from FT232RL. How to resolve this issue?
The one baud rate I need for my hacklace2 is missing.
App works fine but there are some issues: - When entering text, I can't find a way to send a 'carriage return' character besides entering explicitly its Hex code (0D). Maybe there should be an option to set that a new line sends also the CR character. - Terminal does not recognise ANSI escape sequences (e.g clear screen {ESC}[2J or move cursor up {ESC}[
Hi, I miss the 2400 baud setting. And since a lot of UPSes use that baud rate I cannot test it at this moment.
I can get 3 commands sent before it hangs on my galaxy note2. With echo off and using loopback it works OK though.
Tried this as an experiment and works really well, very cool for a portable tool/logger. would be nice to have some custom keycodes like cr and line feed rather than have to switch to hex at the end of each command.
I have just connected my arduino board using a OTG cable (use the usb port of a phone in host mode). It's working perfectly!
Works on S2 but not on S4. The samsung knox is blocking this app. The "prevention information" is shown. Is anyone able to get it working without the need to root device and remove knox?
Works great. Would you please add an option to send symbols automatically without pressing "Send" button? Thanks
Needs option to save default settings
Is it open to the public?
Simple, brilliant I had an old device, a Psion Organiser II, that historically used a Rs232 comms link. Fortunately I was about to get a USB link but was experiencing difficulties achieving two way communication. I knew that it was FTDI based, so tried this app and it worked instantly. Good job, well done
