FTL Launcher Lite
Make no mistake, this is the fastest launcher you'll ever run. Small, light, configurable. The Gingerbread launcher as it should have been. No useless stuff, no compromises. Performance and usability are the driving forces here.
On version 3.0, most of the limitations on the Lite versions 2.x.x were removed. 3.0 Lite users have almost the full 2.x.x Pro specifications. 3.0 Pro users have a all new game to play now: The Pro version can use existing ADW, GoLauncher and LauncherPro Icon and Dock themes, giving FTL and unprecedented array of possible theming. You can even mix Dock and Icon themes from different launchers. Google Play is yours for the take.
This Lite version still has some of the configurable options pre-loaded that cannot be changed. A lot more stuff is configurable on the full version, check the Pro Version Extras feature list below. Performance or user experience are in no way impaired on the Lite version.
Important: FTL supports all resolutions and ICS, but only 800x480, 854x480, 960x540 and 480x320 devices have 3D drawer enabled! Also ICS has no 3D drawer because it does not contain the "old" opengl interface. But as it is natively accelerated anyway, 2D drawer should be very fast.

Basic Instructions:
- On first boot, homescreens will be empty. Long-press anywhere and start adding stuff!
- You can add/change the shortcuts on the dock bar: Long-press the place you want, and wait for the a popup to show, allowing you to choose what activity you want there.
- You can uninstall apps directly from the homescreen: long press the shortcut (even in the app drawer), drag it to the trash can that appears where the dock was. If you drop it immediately FTL will only remove the shortcut, but if you wait a bit before droping, FTL will offer to uninstall the app.

Its fast, fastest among the launcher i used (what with Zeam gone and Lighting now demand your money). It very minimal, great, i only use one window with almost none widget anyway. But the dock is too small for my taste, and exactly because it very minimal, i can't find any option to resize them myself. And the drawer, i have loads of bloatware comes with the phone, but since there are no options to hide apps or make folder, now i treated to a literal wall of apps every time i open the drawer. Pros: fast, minimal, best launcher for low RAM devices Cons: too minimal, horrible dock and drawer. Fix that dock and drawer, and this is 5 star without question. Until then, this is all its worth
Everything works great except the aforementioned problem where an app stays highlighted in the drawer and also, the home screen navigational dots that should be on both sides of the dock don't appear whatsoever. That is one of my favorite thing about Gingerbread. I have the 4 dock items option unchecked and it says dots enabled, but they are not there. Am I missing something? Thank you. Otherwise, I love it! Fix this and I will buy the donate version.
Installed on a galaxy player 5.0 with 512mb ram and 1.0 ghz processor. Solved all the unresponsiveness issues which clearly are related to Samsung's stock touchwiz launcher. Gone are the UI lockups and waiting for a few seconds for the next screen etc. The icons look less polished, but it's better than lockups and unresponsiveness with touchwiz. It's like a breath of fresh air and brings older devices back into usefulness!
Good lite launxher but need to fix issues. Desktops dock icons not displayed. Hope to better update.
Scrolling could be smoother, but this launcher makes my phone work overall faster, maybe because of its small memory footprint
It is not what I was looking for I was looking for the game Faster Than Light so you are pretty much stealing it's name. I hope you won't get sued for it....
Best for all low end and mid range smartphone s which lacks speed. Very fast in response and doesnt lag at all. I have tried all launchers literally and this one is the best in terms of speed. There is not much in store for customization and design.
Its all great and all but it seems to transition too fast (even set to the slowest) on my Moto G 4.4
I like the speed butbicon size on my tab 3 is terrible. Tiny. Able to customize icon size would be great
But it crashes on my Kindle at launch. XDA is one of my favorite places to get info on modding and working with my droid. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Working very well on my htc. I like it when you hit home key and goes to first home screen not the middle one. I just cant group apps together in one box. No big deal. Nine screens covers that.
Nice launcher .. is fast but wish it were smooth and not so rough, would be 5 stars if you fix.
I downloaded the app and it is showing on my apps screen but y dont i see any differences on my phone ( like small layout changes...)
I would upgrade to pro if it weren't for abysmally slow screen rotation. It otherwise brings my sk4g to life.
I've tried a lot of launchers and this is by far the fastest. I've always had problems with lagging and freezing and needing to reboot but not with FTL. It's just brilliant. I plan to buy the paid version once I get paid. It's just that good. Well deserves 5 stars!
The only thing I could get to was settings. Application wouldn't start, other than settings.

Damn!!! This is the fastest launcher I have ever tried. It is very suitable for a low RAM phone like I have. It feels like you are having a big RAM phone. Soooo smooothhh. Try it:)
Brings new life to my Samsung Vibrant. Almost feels as fast as my Galaxy S3. Between this and Smart Launcher 2, you can't go wrong when looking for a lightweight launcher.
Phone was lagging slow as hell this launcher made it fast again :D good work!!
Love this app! Worked on my China phone with Android 2.3.6 perfect, but on my Nexus 4 with Android 4.3 crashes all the time.
Exactly what I need. My Prism 2 is like a snail and this launcher is by far the fastest I used. Exactly what I needed. Faster than Zeam!
The UI may be a tad old, but it helped me with framerate issues and made my device lighter and more responsive.
Can we get rid of the bright color on icon press? It is surprisingly annoying and if at all possible a few extra dock spaces would be nice. Also the ability to remove the app draw icon and use only gestures to open it would be the bees knees.

after setting up the f.t.l.launcher doesn't start at all, just black screen for several minutes (i was very patient) interrupted occassionally by forceclose-wait-report monit. so tired of all those crappy apps from google play which are not properly checked, sometimes working and sometimes not working but mostly the second option. uninstall, happy that i didn't try paid version
