App on smart TV is OK, but different depending on if Google tv, Roku, fire etc. If you are trying to stream on a phone, it is garbage, frustrating and may cause you to slam your phone to pieces. It never loads, or it will load just sound and subtitles, no picture. It doesn't matter if you are full service, on wifi, etc. Been trying to get PGA event on my phone for 30 min. Then they tell you to change the quality, which you can not do until you successfully stream the channel 🤷.
Fubo is a good option for streaming sports, especially your local RSN. However, they don't have Turner channels (TNT and TBS) which makes the NBA playoffs and March Madness difficult to watch. They could also take a cue from SlingTV and add a mini-player feature on mobile. As it is, switching apps on a phone causes the stream to stop, including audio, and you have to start everything over again once you can watch. Picture in picture is needed to make this a great product.
Works well most of the time, however, there is an issue with playback freezing unexpectedly. This appears to occur totally at random and renders streaming useless and lasts for anywhere from a few minutes to upwards of an hour. The issue is, thankfully, sporadic but it is extremely frustrating when a program that I'm watching will just stop streaming and the app doesn't respond to any inputs. That aside, when it's working, there is a good variety of channels for the price.
App buffers constantly. Always tries to connect to Chromecast?? If you leave a sports event to look at text or email I have to restart my phone for the app to work. I have Hulu, Netflix, Disney, and more and this is the only streaming app I have issues with. And I only have this to watch my local sports team. Gone after the season but maybe sooner if it continues. Why is there more than one of the same sporting event listed in the guide at same time? Sometimes one loads and the other doesn't 🤷
Terrible. I had the worst experience in all of steaming services. I tried it on ROKU and the app kept kicking me out before I could log in. I tried it on my computer and the streams wouldn't work. Finally on I tried it on my phone and it finally worked, but it was choppy. An absolute mess. I wanted to subscribe so I can watch the NBA playoffs, but this is just bad and I'll be going somewhere else. Good thing there was a free trial.
Trying to scrub is unusable, it will only let you move the cursor forward. Don't overshoot! However, it's moot because it usually doesn't take, just resuming from where you were. I often need to try 8-9 times before it works. It can also get stuck in loops, showing me the same two minutes indefinitely. Also, frequent long buffering. A lot of these problems aren't present in the browser. I *hate* this app. But am stuck using it because it's the only way to legally stream my favorite hockey team.
Horrendous app overall, terrible user experience, the major issues for me are: 1. Intermittent Chromecast issues; freezes many times when trying to cast, need to constantly restart app until it works, audio offsync, etc 2. Not very data-friendly: "data saver" uses immense amount of data so you need to manually select a low resolution, but it does not save the selected resolution so you constantly need to re-select it. Many more... Definitely not renewing subscription.
Works well sometimes. Like many other reviews, shows will reatart in the middle of watching, or will replay the same episode when it ends and not play the next show on that channel. Biggest issue is when it tries "streaming to chromecast" on my mobile device but Im not connecred to wifi for this to work and it wont even attempt to load the show. I have force stopped the app many times, restarted my device, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and this is a reoccuring issue.
This doesn't even deserve one star. False advertisement right off the bat. They advertise a 7 day free trial. But that is a lie. There is no 7 day free trial. All the packages they offer state at the bottom that it doesn't include a free trial. Too bad. I might have liked it. Not paying for something I might like. Sticking with prime, Netflix, Disney and paramount.
Really liking this app. Its a great option for cord cutting. I wish tho there was a better way to go to the last channel you were watching holding down the back button doesn't always work the way it should. And also wish you could view the guild and still watch live TV but other then that I'm happy
Bad TV app. Not worth the amount they charge! Especially when they default to quarterly payments when you sign up. If you dont not change it you spend over $200 for nothing after trial. Majority of shows you can NOT watch when you want, they only say upcoming & you can record. Just go with Hulu, you watch what you want when you want & has MUCH more content. Ive spent the $209 for 4 months & I usually use the free Hulu over my paid Fubo. Sad & embarassing, I should have cancelled day 2!!
Terrible. Didnt watch one game that didn't cut out or glitch. At least 25% of the time was spent on a "something went wrong" screen or no volume. Good thing we still got to see all the commercials with no issues. Luckily it was just a free trial. Thank you for saving me a fortune on a junk platform.
I switched from YouTube TV for local sports and so far so good. Image quality doesn't seem as sharp but it's not a big deal for me. The 1 suggestion and wish is when you back out of a show the frame shrinks unto the corner and you can still watch your program while using other stuff on your phone. This was a major reason I loved YouTube TV and cutting the chord in cable.
Fantastic! This is THE BEST streaming service there is PERIOD! NO freezing, lagging, no issues! Very few interruptions-fixed w/in seconds.User friendly, great interface.Only streaming service w/ DVR system where u can record NEW EPISODES ONLY.The channel selection is the best, including local channels & live tv.It works very much like cable, including the guide,so it's very easy to use.The price is slightly more than some, but it's the best option -no comparison.Phenomenal service! Get it!!!
If you are using a Samsung tab 7 (maybe others), the app continuously loads if opening in with the tablet in landscape. Close out and open in portrait and it works no problem. That's a big CX oversight
Easily THE WORST streaming app. You guys are a joke. This barely is supported on anything (nothing on smart TV apps, Xbox, playstation). I have to watch it on my phone and try to cast it, which doesn't work half the time. I have to start it on my phone, wait a min, then try to cast it and *hope* it works. I try to rewind something that I've been watching the whole entire broadcast of and it goes back to the very beginning or doesn't do anything. I wish Root sports had signed on w/ YouTubeTV...
Clunky, slow, motion blur on most active shows (pretty much any sports). Same issues on multiple devices, and I have FAST internet. Have Sling and Hulu too. Sling has vastly superior video quality for less $, just less local channels No TNT, TBS, TRU, so missing a bunch of hockey Really dissatisfied.
The new feature of automatically downgrading my connectivity as absolutely horrible!!! My internet connection and TV can handle high definition capabilities yet fubo's core server setup clearly can't so they force their problem onto the end customer so so so lame!!! It makes watching sports unwatchable yet I can watch live sports via other streaming services at high definition no problem
Works fine on Samsung TV, Roku, Fire Stick... If only it worked on Android phones like it is advertised to. The whole point of going this route over cable is to be able to watch on the go. In the ~6 months that I've subscribed, it's worked all of 2 weeks on my phone. It's not like I have an archaic device either. I'm using a OnePlus 8T running Android 11. Fubo claims it works on Android 5 and later. FALSE
The app is subpar. The performance is slow, the UI is confusing to use, and the channel guide is confusing. Sometimes I try to hit "back" only to end up exiting the app all together. And the app is pretty slow it takes forever to load and switch channels and if you use the app on a smart TV it's even worse. As far as streaming apps goes in my experience Sling TV is the best it's fast and intuitive but I'll be making the switch to YouTube TV cuz their channel line up is slightly better than both
