Fuel Map Australia

Fuel Map is a crowd-sourced database of petrol stations and fuel prices from all across Australia. All station information is added and edit by users like yourself. You can also add current fuel prices which are then shared with other users of Fuel Map.fuelwatch.wa.gov.au also provides hundreds of fuel prices for WA's stations every day.
Locations of petrol stations are shown on the map as a branded pin with the last known fuel price displayed above.

The slide-in site list makes it easy to find the cheapest petrol station near-by in seconds.

Fuel Map also comes with a handy fuel log so you can keep track of your fuel purchases, as well as your vehicle's fuel economy.

By and large a good app. I'll probably look at a few others. Being able to enter purchases out of sequence is a bonus but it took a while to figure out that I had to restart the app to get it sorted. A few things I'd like to see in future releases: - Start of journey or full tank odometer input so that first fill is counted; - Directions to a selected fuel outlet without having to start Google Maps.

I previously rated the app 5 stars but since the format changed it is not at all user-friendly. I can't see how the changes have improved anything. I used to enter prices for most stations I passed but it's a huge hassle now so I only do it when I buy fuel. And then if you have more than one vehicle you can't go directly from entering the price to a screen in the log book that you can change the vehicle. It's a free app and a great idea but I would have happily paid for the old version. Not now.

I love this app, but since the current update it's not working. The drop down box which allows you to choose which fuel option isn't working. Also when you click on the petrol station, nothing happens. The little icon for that station jumps up and down but it doesn't show the data. Please can you fix it again!

I have installed app on 2 Androids. Have paid to have ads removed on one device - that's good. Still have ads on second device, when I try to buy ad-free on it. The message appears " You already own it" The ads still appear & I can't pay to remove them ? Other than that, it looks like a really handy app This has now all been rectified quickly. Thankyou 😊😊😊

Could be awesome competitor to PetrolSpy, but there needs to be differentiation between recent prices and old prices - currently they're all RED and you have to tap in to see how recent the price is. The list function does display age, but should ignore prices that haven't been updated in a while. The icons are too big that they overlap other stations making it hard to read.

The last version was much more user friendly. I really dislike this new format. You bave to really search and hunt for the button to Change the vehicle andview the data. Not at all user friendly now. Hi back to the old format. It worked really well.

Very useful tool for both finding the cheapest fuel locally and when going travelling. We paid to remove the apps almost instantly seeing how much money we safe. A word of caution - as it crowdsourced always check when the price was last updated to avoid major miscalculations. Secondly, the fuel prices are also widely inaccurate when you are without Internet connection and plan you journey. Even with Internet it can take several seconds to update.

Worked perfectly about a 6 months ago on my goggle pixel 2 xl. However the fuel selection at the top stoped working which kind of makes the app redundant. The buttons on each side of the fuel type selection do not work either, i am able to zoom in freely but I can't even use the home key i have to force close the app to close it. Only reinstalled today and same issue occurs.

I would like to give this a good score, unfortunately i cant for the following reasons. There is no way to transfer logbook history from one device to another. This is very necessary wren upgrading your phone. I reached out about this to the devs via their website and through Google Play, I got zero response. Hence the score.

Very helpful app, especially with today's horrible fuel prices. We're planning an interstate move in near future, and I'm very impressed that the app includes the little independant servos out whoop whoop. Only gripe is that it crashes occasionally when I open it. Other than that, well done!

Once apon a time Fuel map used to be useful but now is a waste of time and fuel. Non existent fuel outlets shown all over the place and incorrect fuel prices shown make it less than useless. The app is no longer being maintained by the author, reported non existent stations don't get removed and emails ignored. It appears the app is being sabotaged but clearly the author does not care or do anything about it. Uninstalled.

It works ok. Obviously it can only be as good as the data it's fed. Suggestions: Should be an option to show diesel and premium diesel together so you don't have to do two searches just to find fuel. The navigate button should appear on the pop up with you click a station, not be buried on the "more details" page. Show prices initially in green and havr the fade to red as they age. And most of all PLEASE make this work on Android Auto so I don't have to play with my phone while driving.

Many years this app was 50/50 in my books, it kept lagging behind new androids which resulted in many headaches. I decided to get rid of it for good Recently I traveled from Perth to Brisbane, I got it again just to find that not much has changed. Yes, Perth prices were spot on but after Norseman all the way to Port Augusta SA-no prices anywhere and the worst part, I wasn't able to update them neither. I won't waste my time no more with this thing...flush.

No ability to filter by oldest or most recent data, most of the data is several days old. Since petrol prices change multiple times in a day the delay makes the data useless. Not enough filter options either.

Need to keep up with either reports people send or not allow people to just add stations. Just in my town alone, there are 8 stations on the map that shouldn't be there.

Great idea but relies on people to input on a regular basis. Also would be great to be able to name a station without changing the brand of fuel. e.g. BP fuel but operated by OTR(On the Run). Not impressed with the new look after the update. Crashes after making an entry in the logbook.

Does not work property, I don't see the left ribbon and can't select fuel type. I can use the map when I start the app then it get stuck... Edit : yes indeed the reduced animation is the key. I would be glad if you could work on an update without animation 😁

This app used to be my go to when it came to finding which fuel stations around me were cheapest. Now when I try to find stations near me it groups them by brand (BP, caltex, etc) rather than actually showing what is closest to me. Makes it near impossible to correctly gauge which stations have the best deals around my area. Please fix this! All other updates have been pretty great. I like that log option when you've selected a station

The most reliable way to find fuel stations in the outback. The only downside to me is the annoying zoom handler that refuses to show fuel stations beyond a certain zoom level. The wikicamps app can deal with this issue by grouping POI's into a number. Please do the same here and you've got a rock solid 5 star app.

I used to love this app but now I won't even bother using it. They've changed it and it's so much harder to update prices as you're driving past and if you're updating a Govt provided price, forget it. It takes you to a whole different website where you have to fill in all your details, the petrol stations and the pricing etc to update just one price! What a shame, this was my favourite previously.
