Their is no longer a way to get to settings, without getting to settings I can't transfer my data from my old device to my new one. I paid for the license to transfer this data. I will change my review and rating once this is fixed. I LOVE this app and have been using it for years, but without getting to settings this app is pointless. Help opening the settings? I once could hold the recent apps button but this doesn't work anymore
I am giving 5 stars cuz i think this is the best app out there with a very simple interface and ease of use. I also have purchased the full version and have been using it since past 9-10 years. Yet I am currently highly dissatisfied with the app right now. I am using it on Samsung Note 10 plus. The phone tells this app is not compatible with current version of android. The maps are being rendered properly and ofcourse the menu button was missing. The app works well with Note 8 / android 9.
I have used the PRO version of this for 6 years and would have given it 5 stars. Until I tried to move it to a new phone.Even in PRO the import function doesn’t work. I appreciate the dev doesn’t support it any more, but it’s not funny when you can’t transfer 6 years of data even though you bought the PRO licence. Some complex instructions are offered to modify the file, but I couldn’t understand them. I was considering manually re-entering all my data onto my new phone, when I found MyFuelLog2, which offers the facility to import from other apps including this one. It imported perfectly for me. (FWIW I use this only as a fuel log for two vehicles, so I can’t say whether the bifuel and other servicing data would import correctly).
Abandoned now but used to be great. Purchased the add-free version years ago and well worth it. As others have mentioned the menu button was in the wrong place and Android10 blocks it now. Find the CSV in the file structure and import into another app. Easily done and I have now migrated elsewhere.
This app worked great for years. Apparently the update to Android 10 broke it so that you couldn't get to Backup functions and edits to vehicles, etc. Found that if you install Menu Button app, you can work around but somewhat messy. Is a shame that these developers just leave you hanging with loss of data. Needs to be a system of recourse
As mentioned by others, the developer has stopped supporting the app and it's a problem with new versions of Android but I've found a work around fix. Install an app called Menu Button which will give you a floating contextual menu button that'll allow you to import and export your data. After importing, I just uninstall Menu Button but is optional.
I was using this pro version app for last 4 years. But now with my latest phone, i couldn't find the option to import the data from older phone. Not sure is it because it's not compatible with Oreo or a bug. Please help me in getting the option to import old data from my previous phone.
Really nice and easy tool to manage fuel usage, cost and something useful for setting accurate budgets related to your vehicle. Only stars missing for a 5 star is the ability to backup your data. It is a pain if you lose your history due to phone reset etc.
No updates since 2011?! Been using since before that and it was a great app then. Now any new log entries aren't sorted to the top or bottom. Instead they're mixed in with the now hundreds of other entries. UPDATE PLEASE! Until then don't bother...
This app was simple and very good. I bought the license key as well. But while switching the phone, there was no backup taken by this app, and lost all the data. There is no backup mechanism. Hence i am rating it poor.
I have used this app for several years and really liked it but a recent update haa stopped the ability to export the data from the application for use in spreadsheets and other reports. Now it is not near as useful for me. So I have decreased my rating to three stars.
Shame it's no longer supported as I've used Pro version for years on several vehicles. Changed to a phone with gestures and no buttons, couldn't find backup settings etc, work around was putting software 3 button menu on screen temporarily.
If you are having issues accessing the settings menu with newer Android versions, just install an app called (menu butron) then use it on the fuel log app to import/export any files or changes the settings as needed then you can remove the menu button app. Hope this will help someone.
Used to be the best. I had to switch to Fuelie now that this is unsupported. I switched to a new phone and couldn't get to the menu screen to import my old gas transactions, reading the reviews and seeing that the creator of this app wasn't updating it, I decided the writing was on the wall and moved on, typing in my five most recent gas transactions into Fuelie, which by the way I will get used to but does not appear to be as well laid out as fuel log. Oh Fuellog I mourn thee.
Used to be 5 stars. I just discovered the backup function is inaccessible on my Galaxy Tab A. The 'Accessibility' workarounds suggested by some also does not work. Guess I am destined to lose all my years of data if I upgrade.
Please put the .... back on the front entry screen, and the "save" button where it can be seen while data entering. There are approx 8-10 extra and unnecessary button pressing just to do a basic fuel entry
Purchased fuel log pro specifically for the backup feature ultimately to find out that I cannot back up my files which is a huge pain in the rear seeing that I just paid for the app. And my email has not been replied to either. Bad customer support.
It was a nice app, but it is not supported anymore. Last update in 2011, things don't work as expected. You may try to use free version, but avoid buying the Pro licence.
Sadly this app used to be one of the best bit now it has been abandoned and let to die. With no updates it is now becoming unusable without a second app to access menu features. Time to move on.
Have used this for many years and it has been brilliant however it has not been updated and with a new phone running Android 11 I can't access the menu to import my database anymore.
i have the pro version. please make a backup feature. i feel like it used to be a thing when i started using the app in 2011, but i cannot find it anymore. my sd card recently became corrupted and i lost all my app data :(
App no longer supported. Unable to back up, import, or export data now that menu button is gone with Android updates. Don't waste your time.
No updates in years and does not work with the new android Galaxy note 10+ running Android 10. I'm a paid customer and really love this program and I'm very upset that I can no longer use it on any new phones.
Great App still, found a workaround. To access the menu to import/export date connect a bluetooth keyboard that has that function on a dedicated key.
With Android 10, it wiped out access to the app's menu. There is no way to do anything without it. Messaging the developer is useless as he will not answer.
Nice app. Would like it to be able to give a reminder for oil change intervals based on mileage input.
Can you please add a menu button somewhere other than the navigation bar for Android? With my new note 10+ there is no way to import my records so I have to bring my old phone every time I get gas in any of my cars until you add a menu button. Literally anywhere in the user interface should be fine. Will go back to 5 stars with this feature. If I can't use it then I can't recommend the app anymore. I've used this app for many years and have loved it. But I'm not going to start over.
