Great App and awesome customers support. We use this app for our menu tablets in our restaurant. Works absolutely perfect. We had a smaller issue and contacted customer support. They helped us immediately.
Installed easily and using it for home assistant. Not yet using all the features but its nice having the tablet screen come on when motion detected by tablet camera. So far though it works very well.
I use Fully Kiosk Browser to lock down the Android tablets that we use for our home automation system. It's super configurable and provides all the options that I need to set up a very smooth experience for the family. The developer is very responsive, and has great information for supporting a wide range of devices and Android versions. Recently I got a replacement tablet that had a version of Android that disabled the motion sensing feature. I was able to follow the instructions on the FKB site to re-enable this feature via Android debugging tools. Now my new tablets work perfectly. This is a great product that is well supported for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend it.
Great value for money, but due to its versatility, prepare to work through a lot of configuration - there are > 10 pages of settings. Wouldn't recommend for beginners. Using this on a few dozen older tablets for a museum guide, quite happy with it. Support was super helpful and diagnosed our problem within a day when we ran into rendering issues (needed to upgrade our webview component). Pricing model is super fair and easy to manage. Network-based setup is great for mass deployment. Documentation is comprehensive, too (but could use a bit of structure.)
Works amazingly well. I used it to turn anold tablet (Samung Galaxy Tab2, a 10 years old tablet) into a weatherstation based on homeassistant and this is a key application recommended by many in the community to show the dashboard in full screen. Furthermore you can set it up to turn on the screen on movement, so it really turns on the display only when I look at it. Many more settings to try! I bought the license without hesitation!
This is great to install on tablet and smartphone. However, the "Swipe from left for menu and settings" became useless when I tried to run this app on a TV via an Android TV stick. The menu and settings are not accessible on a non touch screen display. In your future update, please make a button inside the app to access menu and settings. This way, users can access it via a TV remote control or a mouse even on a non touch screen display. Other than that, it's a great app. Thanks! Thanks to your quick response. Long press the back button on the TV remote brings up menu and setting. This solves my problem.
I use FK on several tablets around my home for smart home purposes, and it is hands down the best way to display and control the devices. I can programmatically control nearly every aspect of not only the browser, but of the device as well. The REST and JavaScript interface are easy to use and incredibly powerful. And paying for the Plus version of the app and even the cloud service are very affordable. I only have had one issue (which turned out to be very minor - operator malfunction) where I had to contact support. And they were very quick in getting back to me and proposed the correct solution on the first try. Thanks!
We had a specific use case and the developer was fast to help us out. We found this app easy to use and packed full of features not found in larger MDM solutions. Like a night mode where you can make the device sleep for a period of time when nobody is using it. Or smart features like make the device turn on when it detects that somebody is walking by it. We like how granular you can get with the configurations. All in all it's a terrific solution if you're looking to lockdown your web app or app in kiosk mode. Highly recommended!
Very full-featured. The developer is also highly responsive to emails. At one point I emailed them to ask if they could add a feature (USB webview debugging) for me. He/she replied almost instantly, and told me that the feature was already included in one of the advanced submenus. This was a pretty niche requirement, but they'd already added it. Awesome!
Customer service is top notch. In a era where simply obtaining the most basic support reponse is nearly impossible, Alexey answered every single email I sent to them. Without a doubt this stands far above many other companies in general. It is such a relief to still find a product with is well supported. The product itself does a fine job of controlling access aspects of the UI. Our requirements were to limit the user from accessing anything other than what they require to do their job.
This is by far the best Android lockdown software on the market, and available at an incredible value €6.90. It integrates smoothly with their cloud device management solution, which makes multiple deployment a breeze. Initial configuration is non-trivial, so take advantage of the fact that the software is truly fully functional without the paid license and familiarize yourself with its wealth of features and configuration options to make sure it suits every need for your use case. Thank you!
Best fully featured kiosk with security features! I've used quite a number of android based kiosk software, some costing even $100 USD. This one is by far the best I've used and I'd also recommend it to corporate users. It has anti theft features, auto reload home page on screen saver interrupt, auto clear form data, auto clear cache, remote management options, and a lot more too much to type.
Looks good for people in need of a permanent local kiosk solution. Caution: with Knox rights on a Samsung device, turning off key OS features works great... but these features STAY off even when you're not running the kiosk. Not much fun finding out you just lost your status bar, nav buttons, etc... OK, going back into the settings and switching off those features works fine ... but still, lot of work if you're only interested in running kiosk for gaming. Also needs configurable kiosk exits.
So far it's all good, easy setup of the features i need and looking at it there's a lot more that may be useful when i get a chance to look. .IMO it's worth the price just for the full screen (without the need to keep setting it) and motion detection so even if i don't use any other features i'm very happy with it.
I love this app and have purchased the full version. I would love to have the option to put in a pin to come out of the screensaver. I'm using this as an alarm keypad on a Fire Tablet. I use the Fully Screensaver because the Amazon screen saver is just a rolling ad. For security, it would be awesome to wake the tablet and show a pin to go to the homepage. If you added that, it would definitely be 5 star worthy! Edit I have contacted the developer direct about this. Excellent support.
I have a wall mounted tablet that I use for a home automation interface. I am using the Hubitat Hub and run their browser interface within the licensed version of Fully Kiosk Browser. The options for this app are impressive. I especially like the motion detection feature, which I use to automatically display my Main Control Dashboard for the Hubitat Hub. The free version worked so well, that I purchased the licensed version.
I've been using Fully for a few years to manage my home automation (ActionTiles and Sonos running on a Fire HD10 tablet). The customization is second to none, I've been able to tweak the setup exactly to my liking. The settings menus are pretty deep but a few minutes of browsing around opens up more ideas as you see what can be configured. I recently needed to tweak the screensaver setup, my email to support was answered properly, first time and had me sorted.
Using this on a wall-mounted tablet as a front end for Home Assistant - I found the display on the Home Assistant app slow to refresh. This is great, with lots of scope for configuration - in particular the tablet's camera can be used as a motion sensor so that the screen wakes automatically when you stop in front of it. Great value.
Really great app. I’m using it (payed version) approx for half of the year now and my experience so far: - used in kiosk mode 24/7 as controller for hotel guest room management system - very stable - extremely customizable - easy to setup - allows you to tailor app as you like/need. - remote administration works great. - sound detection is very handy - screen turns on when guest entering into the room, sound of unlocking the electronic deadbolt is enough to be detected. - and lot of more than I can remember right now All in all this app is all you need for dedicated device.
absolute sh*te.... locked my phone i was testing on and no matter what i did to undo it as the admin it had my phone locked up. had to hard reset the phone.
Hands down the best app if you want to use a tablet as a Home Automation Terminal. So many configuration options, also has a great web api and remote manangement tools
Is cool that the main way to support you is by paying, and Buy button does not work...
I was using some custom solution/scripting as fullscreen browser until I found this one. finally no more hazzling with the fullscreen mode after sleep mode, no more custom scripting with tasker, motion detector and co. - this browser just made my day... with the remote control function i am even able to remotely control my tablet... Thanks a lot guys! I did forget to mention... My request for support was answered super fast and accurate! Amazing...
Ideal app for Home Assistant dashboard. Support responsiveness is just fantastic. You can test all premium features without need to pay. While testing I encountered bug with screensaver and motion detection, reported it to email and after 2 days I've received download link for beta version with bug fixed! Also had some trouble setup TTS engine but it was also solved with developer help. After that immediately bought license which is quite cheap for one-time payment(8€). Thank you Alexey. Paulius
I think I found a bug, In Kiosk mode if you enabled disable Power button and you turned off the screen, then the screen will turn on when you shaked or moved it, plus can you please make an application only for locking Apps! I bought volume license but many of features I don't use such as Web browsing, Best regards
So useful! Lots of features for many use cases at home or for more professional kisosks. MQTT support is super helpful. Great companion for Home Assistant.
I recommend this app and it brother app single app kiosk as well. Best thing about this app is it's only $8 USD to own instead of paying $2 -$3 or even $5 usd for a subscription all the others make you pay. Fairly easy to install and configure, but there are allot of setting to tweak so play with it be deploying your kiosk tablet. I totally love this program, another Nice feature you only need the one license to run the browser version and the single app version.
Thoroughly developed piece of software that does even more than it says it can do in its description. The number of features and options they built in to a seemingly simple solution shows a lot of commitment to making this software the best it can be. Tech support with them was very quick and helpful too.
Well-made app that so far has done everything it promised to do. I'm using this for a wall-mounted control panel for the home heating, alarm, camera, etc. The REST API is really helpful for doing things like setting the brightness according to the time of day and turning the screen off and on as required.
