Fun Bridge - your bridge club

Frequently exasperating! Robots that don't always follow the bidding rules. Robots that do one thing for one person but not another in the exact same circumstances. Frequently unfair. Opposition bots that can obviously see what their partner needs. Eg: Never lead 4th. Highest of longest or strongest suit to a NT contract, as is normal, Eg no lead to mean "lead this suit back to me partner". I just keep renewing my subs to play with lockdown friends.

The only problem is they stopped giving us 10 free deals a week. Now we have to play or watch a video to play. I like the graphics I 5hink funBrudge is ythe best wop but they should lower the price ir give us poor people more free tournaments. Human love is better than pure Capitalism.

Yearly review: better than nothing but not really recommendable. Results often enough depend only on play of robots. In parts really poor play and bidding by robot partner. Explanation of bid may be true or not. Never got the impression that reported deals led to any improvement. No update release notes. Rarely random deals but too often extreme distributions. Daring play is almost always rewarded. Several bidding conventions and systems seem to be house brands but no contempory standard.

Haven't had a chance to play bridge much over these weird covid times, but figured a little brain exercise would be good, so loaded up Funbridge on my new phone only to discover that because I'd not played for several months they'd deleted the 598 credits I had on my account. Funbridge have a habit of sending out a LOT of promotional emails trying to get you to buy more things, and so I'd got into the habit of just ignoring them, but within those it appears they had sent me a message that said I had one month in which to use these 598 credits or they'd delete them all. Alas, I missed it and so the credits which had cost me about $50 were just deleted. So be warned, these guys are mercenary when it comes to extracting money from you. Thankfully, there are now some excellent alternatives so after several years of loyalty to Funbridge I will be saying adios.

Can play a practice hand for just a few minutes and compare scores and play it again. Very easy to just pick up and put down.

Unable to registrator. The is no registration facilty available on this version of the app. (I use a Samsung Note 5 phone.)

I Ami very unimpressed with the facility to report problems with the bidding, card play etc. There is no comeback and I doubt if the AI ever has contact with it. So frustrating I don't think I will renew my membership unless these queries are dealt with and explained. There ought to be some means of talking to a person.

Much too complicated to move through now I like to better before it was much simpler and for us 75 or 80-year-olds you don't consider we're not computer geeks and you're just continually keep changing the system the process how it works how it functions to get around two different parts of your program for me is a little bit complicated

So easy to have fun with on the run. Best feature is being able to replay hands and I was in heaven when I found that I could have a second think about card played. Enjoy! 💜☮️

Horrible interface. Have to click multiple times to play a card. Then there are other annoying displays popping on the screen before you can play a card. It gets to the point that you forget what you're trying to do with all the distractions. I couldn't find a way in the menu to turn off these annoyances. I uninstalled it. Who ever thought that interface was a good idea?

I have been playing this game for many years. However there has been a change in the last few months which makes accurate bidding impossible. One of the first things I learnt when I started playing was only open if you have a rebid. This is ignored and on many occasions have been left in the wrong contract. I will be uninstalling the app when I have used my credits and hope to find a better app elsewhere.

This is a great way to get plenty of practice, though sometimes the bidding catches me out! I enjoy the opportunity to replay a hand and see what I could have done better. And the finesses never work! The programme has one weakness and that is the cards sometimes stick, appearing not to be played and holding up the game.

Funbridge is the nicest online bridge experience I've had so far in terms of design and functionality. Having a good deal of experience in international bridge tournaments, I find the robots bidding very rudimentary and they often don't follow their own rules. But absolutely excellent for up to intermediate players (and robots aren't that good at bidding anywhere, mind you). Great selection of personal tournaments etc.

Years go by and i still play, no progresa but still...hope this will help me from parkinsons

update: doesn't work often or requires multiple sttempts to login due to server issues. original review: The app eats battery life (at least on Android, on a recent Moto Z Play). Related to the battery drain, the UI is inefficient; many clicks are needed when fewer could do. Even switching to another app and then resuming play requires many clicks and seemingly lots of processing. For a paid product, the app and UI should be simpler and more efficient. the bridge playing intelligence is ok.

Although I am on bbo and have two other bridge apps on my phone and computer, funbridge is by far my favorite. The app is extremely user friendly and engaging, with detailed settings for your bidding system. Highly recommended

1. Whenever I exit the app and try to access it after even a few minutes, it gives me a message that I have been logged off and need to log in again. BUT I never LOGGED IN in the first place. I don't know how to log in, using a user name and password, as there is no provision to log in. So, every time I exit the app, I need to uninstall it and re install it, in order to access it.

Enjoyable but we find we are often unable to use many elements of our system. It is frequently difficult to understand why the robot has made a particular bid which results in a poor score. Looking at the other contracts played on the same hand, it would seem that other players could not have had the same responses.

l play Fun Bridge often. It is generally a positive experience. The problem I have is if I hit a bid by mistake or play a card by mistake there is no way to change it. Also the robot fails to follow the bridge bidding rules at times leading to incorrect contracts. Overall,however I do enjoy this app.

intuitive layout. easy to play. Nice replay function to show how you could have played it. 4 stars because sometimes your robot partner goes off on a frolic of its own just for you and not for others you are playing against but not that often. Good clean fun. you all pay against robots but you can compare how you did against how your friends have done

I have found that when playing series tournaments that the screen does not freeze...excellent grqphics...can take as long as you like before playing to each trick..would recommend. however the bidding explanations on occasions do not match the actual hand. eg. this bid indicates 4 spades...okay...dummy goes down 1 spade!!.not good.Overall I enjoy playing funbridge

It would be better if one was able to undo a move when one accidentally touches the wrong card.

I've tried online bridge games however last time I played bridge was 45 years ago or more. The bidding is completely changed and very foreign to me. This little app is extremely helpful in that it explains every bid before you even make it! I took the introductory 3 months price..... Sure hope I can eke out the monthly price after that from my social security..... Hopefully I'll be ready to play in the tournaments soon! Thanks Fun Bridge...... I live alone and this is great to pass the time!

Great Bridge app. Robot play duplicate against other human players - each plays with 3 Toni's at the table. The robot are very good players and bid reasonably well. There are many tournaments Stratified / daily / IMP and MP (pairs) You can immediately see how others played the hand etc. Good for good players Great for beginners. Bidding help is exceptionally helpful

I like fun bridge. Would like it to be easier to vary the conventions I use. Too orientated to European systems. Fixed so cannot pick up from menu. Often the site goes down at 9pm UK time - ver frustrating as prime time for use. Often computer takes different action as more players play hand.

so far, very helpful for learning a game that my parents and their friends always played but that seemed too complicated to bother. the only issue i have is that it will log me out and not let me in. i then uninstall and reinstall. it didn't let me create an account. im still just doing the tutorials which are really good. i thought i was getting it but read a review about different kinds of rules that just sound ridiculously complex. it's not the apps fault tho.

This app for expert bridge players only. The developers of this think it's "fun" to constantly be reminded that you could have played that hand better. At the end of each you are ranked but not shown how to improve. If you really want to have fun with bridge don't use this app.

Great app. I've become a much better bridge player because of it. It has a few quirks that I would change yeah change, but overall it does exactly what a bridge app should do. In particular the complexity of the game engine is greatly appreciated.

Good, but it's expensive to play in my opinion.Nice with 2 simple tournament monthly. Good system for teaching the game. Really deep system to set your own bidding system, but missing some obvious choices (that conflict with their own systems when not there).
