Fungi of Britain
Fungi are listed alphabetically and by Group. Each fungus is presented with a description, mycological data, key identification points, cross-references to similar species, and one or more images showing various aspects of the species. The app can be configured to prefer either common or scientific names.
There is a Key with drop-down lists of characteristics to help you to identify fungi in the field, and you can test and improve your knowledge with the interactive quiz!
NatureBritain pledges a proportion of app revenues to supporting woodland conservation, education and research projects in the UK.

An excellent little app. and offline so not squandering data. The ability to zoom, in the latest version, is very welcome (full screen would be even nicer). However, navigation of the alphabetical list appears to be broken, scrolling and selection have become very clunky.
Not only is the app really poor in terms of content, with many common species missing, but the content that is there is very lack luster. When you add to that the developer seems to be a bit of a prick (see his responses to criticism!) It's really best avoided. Wouldn't be worth downloading even if it was free to be honest
A terrific resource when out and about, knocked a star off, because updates take ages for some reason or fail altogether.
I've used several similar mushroom I'd apps but this is by far the best out there. Thanks

Meh pretty disappointing really. The 2 main properties of a mushroom that anyone would be interested in 1) is it edible 2) is it psychedelic. This app doesn't tell you either of those 2 things so whats the point?
Great. I just relocated to Ireland and needed something real quick and this is pretty good so far. It covers a lot of groups of fungi and the only thing I lack (except for more species) is a simpler way to scroll within a group. Let's say I find a bracket, let me just enter that group and scroll through photos of the species and maybe I'll find what I'm looking for? But overall, a good app that I'm sure will improve. Thanks.
Overall, pretty good for the basics. Nice lay out and simple to use. I haven't had a proper look, but did notice that one of the key ID features to differentiate the Blusher from Panther is not mentioned - the "pleats" on the skirt.
Great app just a pity it seems to be missing our most poisonous fungi. 5 stars if this is put right. ( Please inform me if I'm mistaken)
Very informative app!!
Very interesting app at a good price. I am not a mushroom picker but I'm often interested in finding out what I'm seeing when I'm out and about so it's nice to have this as a pocket reference. Five stars. One feature request for me would be to add the ability to filter toxicity to the key, as the mushrooms show the icon for edible/poisonous but you can't filter by it at the moment.
