The streaming service is great and not had many problems with. But a major problem that seriously bugs me is that on certain animes or series, there is only season 2+. Season 1 would be no where to be seen. This does ruin it for people who want to start a new series and those who want to rewatch a favourite from when they were younger or from a few months back.

Still a little glitchy at times, but overall a wonderful anime viewing experience. I had to upgrade my membership because it kept telling me I was watching on too many screens even though I wasn't. Edit: Downgraded my review to 1-star because the app completely stopped working on my chromebook. I've waited for months to see if future updates would fix the issue and it hasn't.

Lots of content, ok price. The app is extremely slow to cast to chromecast or even starting an ep. This is only an issue for the first episode, additional episodes start quickly. I've also noticed that new episodes sometimes won't start automatically after finishing an ep this happens randomly. The above is absolutely not a problem with my home network. It's kind of like if I had to walk to a library it takes a little bit of time to get there but once I do I can access whatever I like quickly.

Overall, this app is great. It offers a fair selection of anime and is easy to navigate. My only issue is that when browsing the shows, if you click on an anime to read the description and then return to the list, it takes you back to the top of the list. This is very annoying since you then have to scroll all the way back to where you were, only to repeat the process over once you look at another show. So, this app would be perfect if that issue were ever fixed.

I guess it has a decent amount of content, but the interface on this app is pretty terrible, it's frustrating trying to get to the main series page. You basically have to start playing an episode, then click an arrow to open a bar to get to the button that takes you to the series page. The annoyance is compounded by the 5 second Crunchyroll ad that plays EVERY TIME you start any video. You have to go to series page to play next video too. Navigating the app is just such a pain.

It's nice to be able to watch your favorite shows, but if you're someone who prefers subbed, like me, just know that 9 times out of 10 you lose subtitles and there's no possible way to retrieve them. Gonna try deleting the app and reinstalling to see if it works. (Update: Came back to change from 3 stars to 2. I deleted the app, then installed again and still no subtitles or ability to place them. I'm in the free trial and more than likely just going back to Hulu.)

Frustrating... subtitles are super inconsistent. Some episodes of a series have them then some don't. Sometimes it doesn't play the correct next episode and I have to go back to the selection page and select the actual next episode. Sometimes it will start playing a different language and I have to go into settings. Don't even try watching on a Roku device. That's for a different review.

Ok, I enjoy watching episodes but the problem is, it would sometimes just pause and just freeze, and the amount of ads is a pain, sometimes if I press the skip button (I don't use premium) it would glitch and the audio would be playing while I was watching an episode I highly doubt the bugs were removed :/ Because I no matter how much wifi bars I have, it would glitch out and say that the app is offline?! Don't really recommend, it's a pain to watch anime with lots of bugs

This app is terribly slow. With a premium account I can watch anime without adds. However it is painfully slow to launch an episode once you have selected it. No other streaming app I have used has ever been this bad. It often times out because the episode still hasn't loaded. In addition, I prefer to watch in Japanese with subtitles and despite trying to select everywhere possible (website and in app) every new series I start will always default to English subs. Have cancelled my subscription

I like the app and the selection of dubbed shows, I cast from my phone to a cromecast. I have great internet but the app seems to stop shows abrubtly then goes back to a Funimation screensaver type thing. It does that alot with me and I'm really starting to get annoyed with it. The app needs alot of work witch I'm sure you guys are capable of. I am a paying customer after all!

Been having this issue on multiple devices, the app, Firefox on my computer. The show series shows up in English on the series page, but when I try to watch the next episode it says it's not available in English and have to go back and select the episode to watch instead of it playing naturally. Happens with every series I watch. Not viable for binging at all

It been a horrible experience so far I mean I get it if I have a free subscription I have to watch the ads but the bugs that come with the ads almost makes me want to give up on this app all together. It's like what other bugs am I going to have to deal with when I start paying monthly. Fix the bugs please!!!

So I have a few problems with funimation. First off is that when you select the anime you want to watch and try pick the season it doesn't load properly so it takes ages to actually load the season I want. Second problem is because I cast it to my TV after 2 or 3 episodes it just randomly shuts off and not like with netflix asking if you're there still, no just cuts off completely and nothing loads. The screen just goes blank. Thirdly is they don't give you the option to skip the opening theme

Paying for the service, but could not even open the app or log into the site. I had requested a password reset multiple times and funimation would fail at even getting the confirmation email sent to me. It's been going on for months and I finally cancelled my subscription. It's a shake because the content they have is good. Paying to not be able to see any of the content is not worth it at all though.

So if you like quality sub content, don't use this app. Their are shows that have the full subtitles made for them but their not included in every episode on this app in particular. It really makes it hard to use this service when I cant finish a show because Funimation thought the 9th ep and up in a show just doesn't need subtitles in that language anymore. It's just a waste of time to try to watch and find shows you know you won't be able to finish.

My experience with this app so far is not good, everytime I watch a single episode if anime and the first ad is shown it bugs out and crashes. and because about 3 or 4 episodes in with the free plan, have to watch the sub, I decided to try and subscribe. When I did and I watched more episodes, I go back to the app after a while and my subscription was apparently canceled for some reason because it told me my plan was free. Even though I got premium. These bugs need to be fixed.

Lots of bugs, but biggest problem is over a month a go I reported many missing, or won't play titles, still not fix, it not the app, it their broken library. Gate, anime goes volumn 1, then 4 (what happen to 2 and 3), it missing volumns in season 1 and 2. Other titles are listed with Nothing to play at all? At tech support through app is usless, I paying for a broken service, that can't fix Gate anime ...another title reported, vanished from my list..., still at least 6 plus, broken.

The amount of content it has is wonderful! There is a variety of awesome shows to watch. Graphics looks awesome! Lots of subbed and dubbed content! There are so many categories. Buying subscriptions isn't hard at all, and it's worth every penny. Overall, it's one of the best entertainment apps I've ever used! This really is an awesome entertainment experience, and highly recommend everyone to try it out. Great job Funimation, you are awesome!!! Keep up the great work!!!💫💫💫

I'm annoyed because I've been trying to watch the second season of That time I got reincarnated as a slime and on my Samsung TV it just loads and on my Samsung phone it says check your connection when nothing is wrong with it and if I click another series or episode it works.. and yes I have the mature content checked... I'm super annoyed.. if I'm paying for a subscription I expect it to freaking WORK

Clicking "forgot password" does not work. Not bad, interface feels odd idk why. I think this is the only service that does not have a filter to separate movies from series. Super weird. Adding shows to queue is buggy. Alot of interactions with "My Queue are buggy" Hopefully once the animelab merger is fully complete the service feels smoother, I assume it has something to do with adding all the shows over...

It's a pretty good app. App is running on Samsung Tab S5e. Many of the bugs have been fixed and have had no issues with the app in the last year. I do like that the release date is shown when scrolling through new shows to consider! Android app is by far my favorite ( I have used the Roku and web versions too). Would be nice for all versions to look the same.

Nowhere near as easy to use as anime lab, lacks many gene, user interface is awful. It's a tragedy that this garbage has replaced what was a wonderful app that worked so well. Now the paid version has ads too. If I had to sum up the performance in a few words it would be "unable to connect", which is what it usually says even on high speed connections.

There are great shows, sometimes they play all the way through with no problems. But most of the time it constantly freezes and starts playing again with lag causing the playtime to be unsynced with audio. Plays fine for a few minutes,, freezes again and then won't play again unless I close the app and reopen. Becomes a hassle when it does this every 30 seconds to 2 minutes of watching a show... it has done this for months now and continues to do so even with the updates to the app.

This app is trash. Was not ready to come out at all. The animelab app was a thousand times better than this. Half the time I go to continue watching one of my series, the anime will come up, but it'll say there are no episodes. It takes forever to load anything. It'll disconnect from the Chromecast whenever it feels like it. It thoroughly needs to be fixed in almost everyway. Also a skip intro button would be greatly appreciated.

I'VE heard good things about this app. But it is very frustrating to even start watching. I keep putting my card in and saying subscribe, but it just says error every time. I have done it for free to watch, but it still has problems. BTW, I'm fine with the adds, still the main problem is when I skip to a certain part there Is adds, what is okay I get it. But the real problem is when the adds end it just goes back to the original spot. Srry for bad grammar also I hve more to say but can't

The app is good and I love it but it's really annoying when the app crashes and glitches. Like some times the subtitles won't even show up because they are automatically turned for some reason. Like it will work for some episodes then it won't and I xant turn them back on. It won't let me select the option to turn them back on. It's really irritating and I would like if you could fix this problem
