When the app works it is a decent app. Probably 70% of the time it says I have connection issues. If you want notifications you have to pay a monthly fee and I would get them even while I was home. Tried to turn off and it didn't seem to work. The idea is great. The execution is not.
Was working great until recently!! Never had any issues till now for some reason, having multiple issues, from not being able to log in,camera not turning on when set too! The IT department needs to get their act together and figure out why I keep having issues!! Poor review until you get it fixed!!!!
It is a good app except when it bumps me out. It only wants a 6 digit password. It seems like an option not mandatory but it is. So it will let you change it until you make it 6digit. Otherwise it has been 👍
There are too many notifications, I have had 72 notifications for 1 day and then when I go into the app to delete them. I have o individually delete them and confirm I want to delete them. Given how much you pay for the camera and the subscription, there should be a feature to "delete all".
I love the idea of the product and its software, but the software doesn't seem to work correctly. When I remotely access the product I can see through the camera and can swipe up to launch treats but the other icons (back arrow, Mic, cameras, three dots) do not function whatsoever. *Update* Just updated to the new patch, nothing has been fixed.
The app isn't so bad if it wasn't for the live camera feature. The overlay isn't responsive, I have to use the actual phones back feature to get out of the live feed, and none of the buttons on the live feed are responsive. I also think it would be nice if the toss treat overlay wasn't so in your face, it makes it hard to see the image behind it.
I love this app and the product, but recently it keeps closing when I try to view it live. The app keeps closing. The only thing I can see are past clips. That really does me no good, especially if I can't send a treat or check in in real time. I'm happy to change my rating when the bugs are fixed.
I've slowly been lowering my rating as my furbo has been working worse and worse. It has not connected in weeks and my attempts to fix the connection fail. I've owned several different cameras. This is by far the worst.
Edit: App suddenly started working despite no changes on my end (after updating it was still refusing to connect to the device - couldn't even manage settings). I have had this camera for almost 2 years and both the app and camera device have continually suffered from inconsistent software quality (camera frequently hardlocks and needs power-cycling). NOT RECOMMENDED. A Ring indoor camera would be more useful. The pet-specific features of this overpriced poor-quality camera are not worth it.
Furbo doesn't work at all half of the time. This can be stressful when you're working and trying to keep an eye on your dogs. Also there is pretty much no customer service. You get a robo chat that sends 5 messages at a time. I would definitely not recommend this product due to its reliability and poor customer service.
Changing the treat button to a festive one is quite frustrating though. The set of instructions won't go away without tossing a treat, so the screen is effectively disabled until you do so. Which is a real problem if you don't want to toss a treat at that point!! (e.g. puppies are asleep). The nanny stuff is mostly inaccurate and a bit spammy on the notifications. The 60 second summary is nice.
Love the idea of the app and I haven't been having issues but lately it crashes two seconds after opening. Seems to have trouble connecting when you're not right next to it, which kind of defeats the purpose. If it worked the way its advertised then it would be an easy 5 stars.
It's great when it works, but lately has been having connectivity issues and won't allow me to check in on my animals. One of the main reasons I purchased a Furbo was for peace of mind and to be alerted in case of an emergency; with the connection being unreliable lately, I feel like I don't have that peace of mind of knowing the Furbo is keeping an eye on my animals when I'm away.
After 3 years of great use, now it won't connect to give treats but it sends me notifications and selfie alerts. Your software updates have ruined a good product. Fix the issue and I'll change my rating.
I've been having the problem that Everytime i go and open the camera it instantly crashes. I already downloaded and reset the cache. The fact that i can't even use the app means this whole camera is useless. I recommend looking somewhere else for a dog camera. Because you be disappointed after spending so much money for it just to become a paper weight.
The last two updates are causing connection issues and keeps turning the night vision to auto after I turn it off. My camera is 2 feet from the WIFI and on the left side.
Doesn't work! I've had it for a little over a year. Worked great up until about 3 weeks ago. Now, all I can do is open the app, and it closes instantly. Can't check on my pets or even give them treats. Very disappointing! I keep getting the "Reinstall after the bug in the app has been fixed" notification.
NEGATIVE 5 STARS. TERRIBLE. Updated 2/8/21: beyond frustrated, still having issues where I can't connect, can't access the live video but it sends me alerts of videos so I know something is working. Who in the world has time to troubleshoot by typing chat every time it malfunctions? Infuriating. The device is brilliant in theory, the glitches render it useless. Customer service can only be contacted via online chat which is a complete waste of time because of the constant technical issues.
Edit: All of a sudden the app has stopped crashing! Original: Worked great until about a week or two ago. Now the app crashes if I ever try to view the livestream, which is the entire point of having this camera. I can view saved clips fine but can never check up on my dog during the day due to it crashing. It had an update last night that I thought would fix the crashing but it doesn't appear to have done a thing! Very disappointed as I've only had this camera for less than a month.
I use to love this. My dog loved it. Connection issues are never ending. I upgraded and got the Furbo Mini with the free Dog Nanny. I have NEVER gotten it to connect. I'm begging to regret spending so much on this. Nothing else is connected to my wifi during the day. I have several phones. So that wouldn't explain the problems. I gave up on it.
My app shut down after the android update. I emailed furiously and they got back to me within 24hours with a solution. They are aware of the issue. They sent me the beta version of the app to download through my drive and now it works. The furbo is scheduled for maintenance tomorrow or the day after so they are addressing the issue. Happy with them
Great app, when it works. Trying to use after not using for awhile, and the app crashes as soon as I try to view video. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and clearing the cache, and nothing helps. Hopefully there is a fix soon because this app is not usable without!
I have no connection issues but have Android and get severely delayed notifications or none at all. Really doesn't help if my dog has an issue and I get nothing from the device. Always get app updates but none have changed the notification reliability.
