Very difficult and frustrating to navigate. I am very disappointed in my fusion head unit, not sure which is harder to use the phone app or the actual head unit which takes a dozen clicks to even get to the tone adjustments, and can't find a way to do this in the app. I am writing this review hoping the developers put a little more effort into future usability, very frustrating trying to do anything is compounded by operating a boat. also the volume buttons on phone do not work on Bluetooth.
not user friendly I am also very disappointed in this head unit for the price point. the navigation on this app is difficult. you have to really search to find different adjustments, seems like every time I get on it something is different and of course the no connection found is really frustrating when I am clearly connected
Not suitable for multi unit installs. Very clunky. Spends half its time freezing. Better to give the App a miss and save the frustration. I have a multi unit installation and the head units are not great either. Not intuitive to use so any new person on the boat will struggle. The sound is good when it works though.
Like being able to adjust from cockpit! the app (and headunit) are very basic, really annoying having slow reconnect every time I open the app just to adjust volume, why can it not just stay connected? Would really like shuffle all for entire usb not just per folder.
Limited options with this app and Samsung Note. Can use the app to play songs on a USB, but it's not possible to scroll through the songs and pick one to play instead of the current one. The app sends you back to the initial screen. Could be a LOT better.
Like the app. Don't like that it asks you to rate the app everything you use it. Auto programmed volume is key since boats bounce around and it's tough to fine tune while underway. Overall, very happy with app + Fusion system.
Samsung Galaxy S10. App malfunctions more often than it works correctly On RA 770 head unit. Fails to connect more than half the time. Bluetooth range very poor, any more than 10' away and it cuts. DSP does work when unit connects. System sounds great when it works. Expect much more for the premium price paid for fusion equipment. If I were doing it again I would not get this system due to the problems
Very poorly thought out software. Drops connection often. Very basic controls. No way to increase bass, treble etc or update head unit. For the price paid for the head unit. It's quite dissapointing. Send through a few updated guys. Everyone complains yet nothing gets fixed.
Has worked great on my Pixel 2 and now Pixel 3a. Does all of the basic functions I want it to. Good range from boat as long as head unit (RA70) is line of sight. Works terrible on my wife's iPhone though...
App works great with my Fusion 770. Ability to control all individual zones from multiple devices is great. I have one iPad connected to my Fusion via WiFi, a Samsung S9 via Bluetooth, and my Garmin Chartplotter via NMEA2000. All work perfectly together.
Loses Bluetooth, have to factory reset, interface is just ok. Doesn't work well with Android, album art etc. Updating is difficult and could be smoother
Don't know if it's the stereo or the app but music over Bluetooth isn't all that good. Seems the low end (bass) is greatly decreased
UNINSTALLED. Completely worthless as a connection app for music. I'll just keep using Amazon music and connect with regular Bluetooth.....Fusion MS-UD650 head unit.
So far everything works except DSP. Maybe the model I have? I can stream sirrius over the internet and it plays fine. I have used one time I hppe it continues to work as well as it is now.
Regularly fails to connect to Samsung 9. Paid a fortune for the Fusion stereo on the boat and the software loses connection regularly whilst on the boat and in range. Don't waste your money on Fusion products.
Junk! I am on the phone with fusion once every few months to try and rectify on a Samsung Note 9 it's glitchy as hell and disappointing ...
whats the point of ethernet and wifi if the update can't be done from the unit itself or ever support Spotify connect. too much money very little features
Seriously inconsistent connection issues. Randomly starts playing music, other times won't connect... Needs work.
fusion app wont show connection via wifi for android and wont push update to radio. tried two different devices with no luck
Clunky, outdated UI and bluetooth connection problems. Otherwise great app.
I can stream music from my phone, but that's it. No controls over the stereo...
app doesn't rotate with screen. doesn't support dual window. tone controls don't work
Very disappointed. I would not recommend fusion stereo simply due to many dropped connections.
App has worked well for me so far. Happy with its functionality.
Just what I need for bluetooth control of my Spotify and other audio. Thank you JR.
Not good software. Connection ropey. For such expensive equipment expected better.
Bluetooth connection very glitchy on Android just fine (maybe perfect) on iPhone Very annoying
Doesn't let you upgrade via android. Connection is terrible on Android. Iphone and ipad are fine.
I was expecting alot from this head unit. Every time I turn on my radio. my app on my phone takes a long time to find my radio. sometimes it fail to find it at all. The app is suppose to let you control many functions from your phone. one example you can control your tones from the phone which is great. when you touch the screen to adjust the bass, mid, and treble it always sets everything back to the factory settings. its extremely sloppy and a joke. I wish I bought a different brand.
