the app will change the settings on the gimbal, but that is about it. it will not record video. most if the time it will record sound, then after audio the clip plays out, the video will play with no sound. When I boot up the app, a pop up opens that says I need to upgrade, but when I click update, nothing happens, it just starts aver and the pop up comes back up. this makes most of the features of the gimbal and the reason I purchased this particular gimbal in the first place useless.

At 1st I was disappointed because I couldn't get the app to work with my phone. I 1st tried it on the note 10 plus and then tried it on the note 8. Resulting with my phones telling me the app crashed. Finally switched my phone to airplane mode to start the app. Once the app starts you can switch off airplane mode and then the app works fine.

Marginal experience with this app after a new phone was purchased. For all those who are having problems with the update, download the app directly from their website and start again from scratch. The file here on Google Play appears to be incomplete. The complete file is a 150MB download. The file hosted here is much smaller and may be corrupted. The authors need to check on the file integrity of the upload. Program is working fine once again with a direct download from the authors website.

Doesn't run, crashes immediately after starting the application. Tried it on both a Android 9.0 Pixel 3a XL and a original Pixel (on 9.0 also). Then updated both phones to Android 10 and it still crashes. The gimbal (SE version) tilts to the left no matter how I adjust it and I was hoping the application would have a firmware update to fix that, but since I cannot run the application..... No idea if it does firmware updates too

Great potential, poor execution. The zoom function in the app renders the camera useless. As soon as you hit record, it locks to a very shallow focus depth. The camera needs to be right in front the subject to get focus. All focus functions rendered useless. This app and gimbal has some amazing potential though.

Have problem with expansion file: Handset: HW mate 20 Pro. After upgrading, the zoom function got hang. When turn the knob for zooming, the image freeze. After reinstalling the app, the zoom works but the FN (locked) function sometimes is still in activation even after release of the button. 😔. Seems getting worst after upgrading. Disappointed.

i had problem with downloading the resources via this app where it failed to download. I searched for the main cause and found out that this app doesn't pop-up the permission request for storage, so I manually accept the storage permission on my android setting. ohya, can you add the ratio selection? such as 16:9 and 4:3.. to developer: this app is awesome, yet many space for improvement. I hooe you could fix the bugs. thanks

I'm a new Vilta M user & to gimbals, so I got this app as it is the official app to use it with. First time I connected the gimbal to the app, it updated the firmware automatically. But for some reason the gimbal won't detect my P20, instead it jitters a bit then it just goes limp. Tried calibrating it a few times bit it still persists. My P20 is mounted & balanced correctly. Strangely it works fine when I turned the 'Phone Detection' off. The gimbal then works as it should. Weird stuff, guys..

Just got my Vilta-M Pro in the mail. Downloaded this App and attempted to open it on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Crashes at start-up every time. App was just updated in August supposedly fixing bugs, but seems to me it made it worse from what I am reading. Hopefully they fix it shortly or the product is worthless.

i have a Samsung 7 Edge and the app doesn't want to connect to my phone. It's pretty much useless from what I can tell at this point. It keeps telling me to update the app but it won't let me. Until I'm able to do so, my rating will unfortunately have to stay at 1. So much potential. Hopefully the bugs can get worked out.

AUDIO CAPTURE IS TERRIBLE. When capturing video via FVShare, the audio is terrible, which ruins wanting to use this app. When using the default camera app, audio is perfect. Need to fix ASAP. Samsung S7 Edge, but I see from other people's comments that the issue is widespread.

Really a pity to not be able to save motion laps in order to repeat them multiple time in order to get exactly the same movement on multiple shot or to quickly redo a shot that was screwed up by someone in the camera field... Interface is not according to Android standard... Need some improvement...

Poor software - I can't get the Vilta-SE to activate. I get a message error 1099 and have searched the internet and manufacturer website for assistance, with no luck. The YouTube videos omit that this may happen and don't provide answers. I assume this is due to a firmware update but that fails also. Beware when buying this product. I will change my star rating in when the product works as advertised.

2 major issues: first it drains battery very very fast, second if it disconnects from bluetooth you need to figure out how to reconnect, need to turn off and connect. Why not reconnect automatically. Just silly. Gimbal itself is good. Just app needs improvements.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 and just updated to Android Pie 9.0. Now I cannot use my gimbal. It keeps asking me to update but I cannot, please fix and I will update this review. I have version 2.2.4 Update...I have been in contact with FV and they keep telling me it is coming. It is not true. Time to return soon. Update 3/20/19 I don't use the app for this gimbal anymore just doesn't work right. the gimbal works fine standalone.

I like the features of the app but unfortunately I can't use camera mode 2 in my Galaxy S7-G930A (Android 7) This means I can't record in 4K. When I switch to camera mode 2 to it doesn't take video. It simply takes one frame with audio. Kindly fix this

It wasn't great for me at the start, but after this update, the expansion files started downloading fine and all my functions are now usable. The app is quite user-friendly and the support team is also very helpful. I would recommend this app.

It worked fine for me until yesterday it asked me to make the update of the app in order to connect my phone (OnePlus 6) to my gimbal (Vilta-M). The problem is that the app on my phone is already updated. Result: I cannot use it anymore! I even tried to directly disinstall the app and download it again, to bypass the "update problem", but it didn't work. Please fix this problem asap!

The gimbal is amazing BUT this app is having problems with the quality of photos and videos compared to my phones own camera (Huawei P20 Pro) and a formatting issue when I watch the videos on the pc or try to use them for editing, the sound quality is diabolical and the video is all glitchy.

Doesnt work. Opens to splash screen and then shuts down / crashes. From what i can see in the second or two that the screen is up it is looking for updates with a loading % bar for download and thats it then it crashes.
