FX Radar

Do not like the latest version. Extreme spread and all that information should be on the first page with the 10 last shots, like it was when the app first came out. Graph has been reduced in size in latest version. Prefer the version before it went to the new graphics.

Works well and easy to setup different profiles. My only complaint is with the export function. The columns are only delimited with variable spaces making it impossible to import into a spreadsheet without a lot of cleanup. I had to write a spreadsheet macro to insert tabs. Please deliniate with tabs or commas Accuracy matches my old CE Pro Chrony

Really good and simple app on android, it would be nice though if it didn't disconnect everytime I changed profiles, I almost wish there was a manual option to disconnect as and when I chose. It is also not obvious that changing settings from metric to imperial will change grams to grains and vis versa. Other than these small observations am really happy with it, top job.

I don't like leave bad reviews I know the fx Chronograph is very good but I can not get it to work no matter what I do I've tried all settings uninstalling and reinstalling the app a different phone checking the radar is not loose inside the unit getting battery voltage just can't get it to pick up pellet speed speed I didn't give one star because I could be doing something wrong or the unit is generally faulty which unfortunately sometimes can happen these things happen no one's fault

Been using this before writing a review. I find it easy to use and gives all relevent information needed, a nice, thought out app. The problem I have with it is when you send shot string via email, it looks untidy and needs the columns spacing a little further apart. Instead of looking like fps/ft/lb needs to be fps ft/lb etc. Other than that, the registration needes sorting out, it's a very good app.

The unit is great the software not so much. It's a major faff and clunky like a 1990s PC used to be, the pellet size etc isn't included in the emails (email seems to be the only way to export data) No graphing and the format of the data is just a long list of numbers that means it's impossible to follow because it's just a mess And of course registration is broken I've emailed FX and am waiting to see if they respond - they can't the email bounced (I deducted a point for poor communication)

I reviewed a shot group with my Crown Cont. on .22 caliber and the results are statistically pointing to some inaccuracy of the chronograph. Basically the histogram showed a one sided distribution instead of a typical bell curve. More testing is required and unfortunately i don't have a secondary chronograph to confirm the readings. the app could use some of the typical features found in other chronographs - min/max/range/stdev/mean/avg thought not a big issue as I can export to Excel

Seems to work better with the new bracket. Bug: When you open a saved shot string, the data does not show up in chronological order: mismatch between shot number and time stamp. This is a problem because it makes impossible to correlate speed and PoI within groups (the time stamps are not copied to the clipboard).

Got random false readings and there's no way to edit them out of the shot string. Had a very difficult time using with older phone. New phone was totally painless to connect with. Android. Found no way to rename the description of the saved shot strings. Could see the numbers of a saved shot string but couldn't graph those numbers .

Very easy to use and quick to set up. It would be nice to have fps, ft lbs and fps +/- in the saved data as opposed to just one set of info. Viewing the data as a graph would also be a benifit. Hopefully it will be something the developers will lookat introducing in an update.

Terrible interface. Go back to the old style please. Too many menus and the aesthetics are awful.

Really is a good Chrony and app isn't too bad. It would be FANTASTIC though if a picture could be added to the notes portion of a shot string. Numbers are great, but looking back it would be SO very helpful to see the numbers and a photo of the target together. Help your customers out???

Why is it on android any option I use have to re connect, also have to re enter info everytime? And where are the graphs suppose to showing up on android?

**** UPDATE BELOW **** Would give zero stars if possible. Doesn't work at all. All readings are wack. Says my bow shoots 55fps,470fps,160fps, etc. And on the fx impact it says I'm breaking the sound barrier at 2200fps. ******Update after talking with the retailer/ FX USA. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. And switched from rechargeable batteries to regular ones. The radar and app work perfect now. <3 very relieved. I think the cause was something on my phone or the rechargeable battery.

Chrome worked the first day. Now it won't pick up any shots. Not sure what the problem is. I decided to return the unit to the seller.

Bought the chrono mid last year and use it with my PCP airgun.To date I have five shot strings saved. My problem is that whatever shot string I chose and press the 3 line symbol in between 'Profile' and 'Profile settings' the statistics shown in red for Average/High/Low/S.D/Spread will always show for the last shot string I shot and NOT for the shot string chosen! This is very frustrating, can you please help.

This version differs greatly most times from my Pro Chrono DLX. The speed of any pellet or slug is hotter by five (5), seven (7), or occasionally nine (9) fps. Have read the IOS version is somewhat more reliable, but not sure as I've never used it to compare.

The chrono is small unobtrusive and works out of the box. However I cannot register using the app provided, it's greyed out, I have to go through the setup routine ever time I use it. I apparently am not the only one with this problem. I have reinstalled the app to no effect???

Using the new chrono on android is a lesson in frusrtation,power readings can fluctuate by up to 1ftlb depending on precise positioning of chrono/barrel!Android version of software looks and feels like an afterthought! Hope upgrade will sort it!

Latest update March 2020. I have edited this review as it appears I had a bad batch of pellets which was disappointing given the brand. Realised this after purchasing precision scales that showed all pellets to be heavier at 0.68gr difference between low and highest weight. Hence previous low results. Having weighed 10 pellets Fx radar gave consistent results (8 @ 756fps, 1 @ 754 &752fps). Glad Fx Radar working as it should be. Have the included bracket version.

What have you done to it? I can't get it to work anymore.... It connects, but will not pick up projectile speed. Tried new batterys, uninstalling app and reloading but the damn thing will not operate properly. Please sort this soon as it's no good as it is.

David Howarth 0 seconds ago OK....Perhaps my Android Phone (Samsung GT-19300 operating on Android 4.5) is just to old as I can't even find the FX Radar App in the Google Play Store let alone install and use it, so I am unable to use the FX Radar which I have just purchased as without the app, its useless. I am not one who replaces by phone every time there is a later model as my phone is perfectly servicable, makes and recieves calls, I can browse the internet and have several apps (including the Hawke Chairgun Ballistic Calculator). I don't want to have to buy another phone just to use this FX Radar so may need to send it back for refund. I know the Radar itself works as am able to link it to my daughters iPhone (latest model). But, she lives 100 miles away so I can't borrow it each time I want to Chrono my Weihrauch.
