FxGuru: Movie FX Director

FxGuru: I have been using this app for years now it's one of the easier video effect apps I've used. It's fun to record goofy films with the kids. but there's one thing you have to be ready to act and play the part if you want it to turn out. so get ready to have some fun this one can be used for fun with the family or you can even do small films and have action features in there it's cool but that's one man's point of view I bet other feel the same. Try it, guarantee you'll like it.

This is worth the $10, no doubt about it! Super easy to use while offering several tweakable settings to adjust to get just what ya want. I definitely recommend this for anybody who is interested in making their videos come to life even more. Love it, love it, LOVE IT!!! Brilliant minds behind this app, ten bucks seems cheap. Would've easily paid double. Just sayin.

Horrible experience so far. I have purchased the super 82 pack almost a year ago on a different device. It worked fine untill one day my phone was stolen. When I reinstalled the app on new device and tried to restore my purchase, it failed. On contacting the customer support, only a very basic type of troubleshooting was provided which included uninstalling/reinstalling the app. Now despite sending several e-mails to the customer support, there's no reply. My purchase went down the drain.

longer clips and the option to remove the end post. some fx are very well thought up. others seem a bit.. like something in the idea dident make it through. a option to turn off the menu music would be nice as its starting to get on my nerves now and thinking of uninstalling it. doesent pick up the mic sounds very well. and plays its own audio over the whole clip with no option to change it. need some simple stuff like incoming mortor explosions. and not originating from the camera area.

I love this app but I also have issues. the effects are great. I've purchased everyone available. the problem is that if you choose to have them record in high resolution. it just doesn't work and reaching out to the developers hasn't garnered any response whatsoever. app makers need to know support is very important. that's the only reason this did not get five stars from me.

Great app. Started making videos immediately . Got my head out of the doldrums. The special effects are awesome. The one with the girl from the Exorcist was definitely creepy. I purchased the pkg with the 80 or so effects and you can't beat the price point versus how long my head has been in the clouds. Just what I needed to counter the effects of what we have all been going through. Definitely a heads up on this one guys.

Although the effects are high quality, almost all of them are only available to purchase. Additionally, I had to edit the "finished" videos with another program to allow them to be shared. I can't justify purchasing anything without first knowing for sure the finished videos can be shared easily.

The app has been working great for many years. I bought the paid version right away because I liked it so much. Now? It stopped working a few months ago. I have to empty the cache each time, and even this will only work one time out of ten. I own a Samsung S21. Is it too late to get a refund after 5 years? 😅 Empty the cache solution isn't working anymore 🤬😭

It crashes everytime I'm almost done finishing a video. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, rebooted my phone. Checked that my phone has plenty of space on it, and it does. Sent feedback reports in and wrote the devs. I'm at my wits end.

I really love the way the app is organized now, but I give one star because I love to save these videos and edit them into a larger movie file on my PC but, I no longer have any access or ability to export the videos as I once did. For that reason, thus app is useless to me now. Uninstalled

it used to be great and flawless but for some reason now on s22s it constantly crashes and it's not just my phone it's all the people I know who are using Galaxy s22s and we reinstalled the app clear that cash we've reset the phones none of it works the problem is the app itself and I don't think it's been updated to include the latest version of Android so therefore this used to be a five-star app and I give it a one because none of it works

You can't apply the effects to existing videos, you have to record your video in the app for it to work. There's no good reason for it to be like this. If you cover the camera it has no problem applying the effect to total darkness, so it could just as easily apply it on top of an existing clip. The effects are too cheesy to be worth this much trouble.

No longer working correctly. Keeps crashing when allowing MotionMatch to be processed and won't allow any downloads of the effects as well. Please fix and I will change my rating. I paid for the full version by the way.

USED TO be amazing, now force closes after processing video. PLEASE fix this because when working, I haven't found ANY effects app that can come even close to comparing to this one. Simply awesome! Pleeeeeeease fix!!!

Could do with front camera too . Had the app for just a day and have found the effects to be really good....but !! A lot of them require someone else to film you in them . This app could use with either a timer to delay start of filming so you can get in position or make use of the front camera so can see when your filming yourself. Also would be great to remote control from my samsung watch . Other than that great

It is an ok special effect generator for little mini movies, but there is just soooo many ads i have to watch ads every 2 seconds it is really irritating, and sometimes it closes down and makes me have to re open it again, and the special effects are expensive, i mean rly you could atleast make one effect for 0.50 or $1.00 but yeah they should make the free effect a. thing that you get to keep for a later movie, but yeah pretty descent effect generator for begginers

BEST APP FOR PUTTING TOGETHER SHORT MOVIES/VIDEOS- I'VE EVER USED! Really easy to use & looks very real. 8-10 years ago it would've needed an expensive program & a LOT of time & effort to produce a similar type of 'movie'/video. Even the free options were GREAT & kept me happy & occupied for a while. Since then, i've only spent $5 & have basically all i want on the app.

WARNING: I purchased it and used all the different templates but unfortunately and sadly, they done what I call their scam update.. Now its asking me to pay for each item again. I go to restore purchase & even tried all google accounts, even those I know are not even associated just to be sure. No luck and unfortunately, after reading others, I realized that my situation is not alone as others have experienced this and the company refuses to address users. I lost trust in the app & company.

Very good in graphics and all but What's the point of giving good effects paid that's not a marketting strategy make some good efrects for free 😤. Or go and watch some episodes of shark tank to rethink the purchasing of all 82 effect packs, these 2 stars are for only graphics and all other controls but I will give rest of the stars when the developers create new free effects.

I paid $9.99 for all the effects and all I got was an app that crashes and closes every time it processes a video? What the hell did I pay for?! Either fix the app or give me my money back!!! This was a total waste of time and money!!! How dare you charge for an app that doesn't work!!! ZERO STARS!!!

Does what it claims, but I am lowering my review after feedback from my son. These are not really very useful effects for someone trying to make a film on their phone. More useful effects like a bunch of different explosions, fire, lighting, not from the first person perspective but like a camera filming scenes. Then it would be a wonderful effects set for mobile filmmakers. Right now it is more a novelty. More "anonymous" effects please and I will raise the review.

Have used this app on several phones previously and it's been great - would be at least 4 stars. But on my new phone it doesn't work at all and i just get a random green screen. As an earlier review mentions, this is a Huawei P20 Pro so possibly a compatability issue but frustrating having bought some effects that are unusable. Wld appreciate a response from developer...

Bought the 82 package and all of a sudden for some reason the video won't focus. It's just completely blurry in the background. If I go super ultra close to an object, it will be okay but anything farther than a foot away is a blurry mess.
