The app makes configuring the watch easier: (1) Pressing the icons no the smartphone is easier. (2) The app has more explainatiion of the configuration items. (3} The app gives you access to features that you cannot access with the watch alone. The app allows the watch to set itself to the phone's time. Very useful when not convenient to go outside for the wtach to set itself to GPS time.
Lots of potential when using with the gpr-b1000 Rangeman but as others have stated the GPS functionality is basically a novelty without being able to properly export and import GPX files. I also don't get the point of creating a route, other than for a place to position waypoints. Unless you add waypoints in your route that shows you the direction you need to be headed the heading indicator just points to the goal. Then you can only add up to 9 waypoints which doesn't work with the scale setting
Pretty useless for the Rangeman GPR-B1000. Can't use offline - it's supposed to be a survival watch. Uses licensed Esri maps which are way worse then OpenStreetMaps Can't export GPX. Can't really import GPX either - even you do import it, you can immediately transfer to your watch and still have to draw it anew.
Fails to connect no matter what you do. Unpaired everything, manually paired, turned off wifi, all the usual suspects, nothing works. Suspect app isn't compatible with latest Android version, or the S22 Ultra
Uses too much power, searching for signal on mobile phone, doesn't stay connected (I thought that it might save power). The app is great though, I like the mapping and overall think it is a good idea. Thanks gshock.
The app is very useful to transfer data to and from your G shock watch. The only issue I have is that Casio don't provide cloud storage. Any data stored is lost when you change your phone
Rubbish. Connected once and will now not connect. Jave attempted to reload, tried all settings and still no good. Spent a lot of money on the watch and to be let down by this app. Not happy at all.
Installed this app to use with my G Shock Mudmaster GG-B100. I love the watch and this app is brilliant when used in conjunction with the watch. I can connect the watch to the app anytime I want and it checks the accuracy of my Mudmaster 4 times a day and performs time adjustments to the watch automatically as long as the Bluetooth on my phone is switched on. The guide that's part of the app explains the use of the other functions of the watch as well. Very satisfied with watch and app. 5 stars.
I haven't started my move yet, but why is there already a certain amount of calories burned haha !! Please improve your apps. It's easy to use, but the calorie count is incorrect and illogical. 0 steps but the calories are already 675 calories burned🤣
Connects every time, works fast enough to quickly change settings. Would be nice if functions such as the auto light could be set to stay on permanently
Not a great app. Lagging and crashing. Connection to the watch is not up to the standard. Mission log is not working properly,or sometimesnot working at all
The app is well designed, but buggy; approximately 50 percent of the time when opening it, it gets stuck in a loading loop and needs to be force stopped in order to get it to work again. Considering I paid 1200 AUD for my Frogman, this is unacceptable. Please fix.
The app works perfectly well. I hope there would be an update to include the gst bt500 as im not able to use the bluetooth feature mainly due to this.
Really enjoy the step tracker, to get it to up date more accurately, I wait 30 minutes after resting then conduct my watch to phone update, and the steps always match exactly the same on both devices.
Your app keeps crashing and cannot be opened at all! Aren't you providing an update to address this? Otherwise this app is totally useless!
App doesn't connect to my GBA - 800 after update. I even unpaired it. Still it doesn't connect now after i updated the app.
Easy to set up the watch and use. Keeps the time spot on. Bluetooth Casio is the easiest Casio to keep time spot on. Just wish my GG B100 was Tough Solar. That would be the icing on the cake!
Very basic app with horrible optimization , the app drains the battery like crazy and it's not worth the features it provide ... I recommend REMOVING the app
I love Gshock (Casio)been wearing them for over 40 yrs, they have gotten more complicated over the years, but no worries there is an app for that.
Still have issue with the GPS Map playback. Lack of feature for push GPS navigation from the APP to the watch and to share GPS record to other APP.
It does things using what I suspect is magic. Could use a SOS blinker in addition to the tilt light, in a setting. Not that I would ever get lost, ever.
Does everything it says it does...no issues except if I don't check in every two weeks it loses the data of the stepometer. If it has a constant connection, what is the need?
It's fun, easy & simple. I like the analog face and I just push a button to see my activity. It's awesome
It works fine with my g square, it does what it is designed to, simple and self explanatory to all the functions.
This is a great app making it so easy to set various functions on my GST-B300, like the alarms, timer etc. It is robust in that it connects reliably every time I press the 'connect' button on my watch. The reason it doesn't get a full 5 start, is the 'world time' function. I have no idea how it properly works! There is a listing of 6 x selected cites on the app screen, each with an option to highlight with a red star, but I've no idea what they do, and no amount of 'googling' has given me an answer! The watch manual is useless for the app which really needs Casio to step up and make a comprehensive YouTube tutorial on it's use... The other irritant is the 'find' function, a pure gimmick, as when your phone switches itself off after 30 minutes, it simply doesn't work!
I needed to watch a YouTube video to learn how to use the app and how to adjust the time manually as I was afraid I would break the dial when I tried to pull it out before discovering one had to unscrew it first! I feel that there should be more options available as the app gives the impression that programmable functions would be possible but, alas, no. The app allows adjustments to the time, date, world clock, alarm and that's about it. The watch, however, is a work of art..beautiful!
