The most comprehensive free app I've used. I love the instructional pop up boxes, more even, with the don't show this again box, would be fabulous! An idea, a separate starter app with intensive instructional, pop up as pressed, with 'apply changes' button, and preveiw/original buttons, would be worth paying for. Unsure of what any of the terms are or what button is being pushed or what it's altering is frustrating for our younger musicians. And your instructional/exaining is easily understood!
There is a lot of good stuff here but it has a very crowded UI which makes it's very hard to do anything without making a mistake. Especially with the non premium version where a mistake which should be a small issue can either open a premium ad, or take you to the app store. It's pretty messy. I think it would be a little better on a tablet but even then i think it would become a chore to use in any substantial way.
This app is insanely good. I have hardware drum machines, and this thing is easier to use than those. Sounds great too. Obviously it's just a phone, so the touch screen isn't as nice as knobs or buttons, but it's super fluid and changing up patterns on the flies totally doable, and even easier than on hardware. This could possibly be used for live performance, and if not, it's just great as a jam tool or idea creation tool.
Just started using the app, but I am super impressed with the depth of features and ease of use. First impression is that it is quite powerful without being overwhelmingly so. Some of the sliders (eg step cond) are tad difficult to use on my phone, so if you have a tablet, then try installing it on there for a slightly better response.
Very, very, complex material, but it packs a punch in making those beats. I would personally just use this app (this is actually what it is for in away) trial purposes, and buy the Studio from this dev, which I am highly considering to do. This is app isn't for the faint hearted either, you have to know what you are doing!. You can basically loop, beat make, add keys, pitch, blend, and do a lot of other tweaks from samples. You have saved a lot of wire mess with this app, thank you!.
Okay, this is a powerful and flexible drum machine... but it is a sixteen-step sequencer. If you set the step timing to 32 the time signature adjusts to 2/4; if you set it to 64, the time signature becomes 1/4. To create a whole measure of 4/4, at this resolution, it seems that you would have to chain patterns together in G-Stomper's more-power ful Studio app. But I will just have to try that out at some point, won't I? 👍
This app is phenomenally good. Very powerful piece of kit. I've been toying with the idea of buying a drum sequencer for a little while now, to add percussion to my guitar practice. A potentially expensive experiment. G-Stomp Rhythm has allowed me to do this, and test my comfort level with the software/hardware essentially for free. And frankly, it's so good I may never need to acquire a physical unit. I trialed a number of other apps before this one. This is miles ahead. Great online tutorials.
Very good. The only free G-stomper app that isn't a demo! Lots of fun to mess around with. It is a bit dependent on presets but apart from that you can mess with the sound of each drum very easily. There is an amp, filter, envelope and LFO (the last 2 can affect the first 2). There is a 16 step sequencer. Highly recommend
I have really enjoyed diving into electronic music production. I have always (in the past)been a stick in the mud, believing that real music comes from real instruments...but not true, real music comes from real people, a tiny portrait of what is inside of us, whether electronic, electric, or acoustic I have enjoyed creating using this platform, and have composed several memorable works, and don't plan on stopping! Possible improvements: Maybe a tiny bit of info on How to Create User made Samples
BEST. DRUMPAD. APP. EVER. A novice may be intimidated by the user interface, but anyone with some experience using DAW software will figure it out easily. The ads are just asking for ratings and trying to get you to check out their full production suite. Easy to click past and no locked features. I am a guitarist singer /songwriter without the time or patience to find a drummer to practice regularly with, and this is a godsend. Also perfect for on the fly freestyle rap beats. 9000 out of 5.
this is by far the best drum machine I have used. I can mash samples and make beats quicker and more interesting than in the other stuff I use. The interface is awesome with some deep features I thought I wouldn't get till I saved up enough for a digitakt, conditional trigs, parameter locks, probability etc. One thing I would love to see is cloud storage integration. I would love to be able to just drop samples from my laptop into GDrive and load them in here then export my beats back again.
First off, I support music apps that support Ableton Link, which G-Stomper of course does (and does well). A feature rich app, you can choose to use just the basics or you can dive deep and use this app like it was the center of your dream studio. The learning curve is very reasonable and, though you should of course read manual, you can pretty much download it and within 15 min create a decent set of techno or house or gabber loops. Most importantly, the export abilities are exceptional.
They give you all of the functionality from the start with the free version. It has a "remind you to buy" style advertising pop up that occurs when moving between the various sections of the application, that's not annoying and way more than fair considering everything the G-Stomper Rhythm has to offer. Save to audio wav & midi files, throw them up on a cloud drive from your mobile device, then retrieve them to use on your main PC DAW to finish your project. That's why I give this 5 stars!
Sound doesmt work on my xiaomi redmi5, hope this can help. Edit 01: tried the suggestions, still not working. Tried restarting, rebooting, reïnstalling and whiping cache. Other apps have no problems. Edit 02: Got it to work! For some reason it kept muting the app, even after whiping cache, reinstalling and rebooting. Not sure why or what happened there, but I had to manually change it for the app. Now works as advertised, pretty good! @dev, check edit 02, it's fixed! ;)
Amazing app! Started to look at hardware drum machines when I found this! Very easy to start with, very deep to keep going. I will have to get some cables for my Samsung S7 to see how well it attaches to an old MIDI keyboard... this will keep me busy for some time. The only downside so far is the documentation blends all their products into one...
Hard to believe this app offers so much for free! I've been using it for maybe an hour and already fleshed out two new songs. the editing, fx and sequencer are really user-friendly, and the ads aren't too invasive. The key seems awfully cheap too, i can see myself buying it in the near future.
Best drum machine app I've found. I've downloaded alot of em and this is the only one I haven't uninstalled. It gets crackley when i try to use 24 loops instead of 12 but it cant be perfect. I assume that probably says more about the quality of the device I was using than it does about the app. The best part is that its not a demo its the full app. Most apps try to force you to pay for certain things or you cant use them properly. You can utilize literally anything in this app. 👍👍
Dont sleep on this app if you need to be able to make beats on the go. With features like trackouts, customizing samples, using your device as a Midi controller, and extra sound suites available for FREE, this app has much of what you need to start crafting your own instrumentals. I don't mind the ads because they're for other products in their suite; it feels like this app is meant to get you working with ease. I can't wait to try the Gstomper Rhythm Studio. 10/10 best free producer program!
Just what I was looking for. I was looking for a drum machine app that I could make samples on. Out of all the apps available for android, this is by far, the best! It even gives you full functionality for free, but I paid for the premium key because the developers deserve it for making such a great usable app for musicians! Thank you!
Top quality! Planet-h always comes correct with their music gear apps. I'll keep coming back as long as they keep it up. I've used these machines and sound packs for years. check out their full DAW. it's like carrying a portable studio with you and the samples you create are time coded so they easily import into most top computer programs so when you get in the studio you can just import your work to the studio's computer and the engineer can mix it with your project or build a new one.
It's a really solid drum machine overall. Even without the premium version, the app is really bulky with content. The only problem I have with the app is the fact that I don't know about the Terms of Use of the app which kind of makes me scared of using it in any project I make, in the case planet h takes all of my hard work and makes it their own
Intuitive layout and excellent sound. I'm not familiar with every component, but I found FX options and did not see how to use them, but there's a help button that leaders to, among other things, video tutorials on Youtube.
Great app everything you need to create beats to play along to. You can adjust the time signatures and tempo to fit any project. I'm also loveing the ability to record samples to apply to the mix. It has a fruity loops kinda feel to it. I haven't tried the Ableton link yet but will be a great function should it work. Nice job developers!
I enjoy this app more than I ever would have imagined possible prior to its install... I never gave electronic music the time of day in the past, not wanting to acknowledge the skill involved in its creation, having been a 'REAL' Musician who crafted sound through analog instrumentation, but I found that whereas I won't always have a physical instrument with me, I will usually have my phone, so now I view it too as an instrument and craft sick beats and then edit, master and enjoy its production
This is an unbelievably excellent app. I can't believe I didn't know about G-Stomper until a few days ago. I have an RM1X in the loft, I used to have great fun with it, but life's a bit different now and I haven't the time or space to have it set up. I had been pining a bit recently, then I found out about this app! I have to say, although it is early days, I am gob smacked as to the quality and performance of this Android sequencer, and the fact that so many features are available for free!
WOW! This app is fantastic! It is the most full featured drum machine app you will find for it's price. The sound quality is good. It will take me a little time to use it to it's fullest potential .... but from just messing with it for an hour .... it is INCREDIBLE bang for the buck.
Love this app, I used it with a bass and now it helps me get some stuff with an acoustic guitar. I just wish there was a way of "simplifying" the main interface. The app is packed with features and it's great, but a pain to use on a regular phone screen.
Very impressive not only for being a full scale production tool but its free there really made beat making app for your phone that i linkto my 808 Roland controller I am still finding function havent had it long but definitely long enough to know that it worth the price of what downloading an app that is free has saving capabilities projects and you can share your music for free more of which then you can do four apps that you pay for that are Ableton link Serato link
