A long time ago there was Gailardia II and Gailardia III I had them but lost them when got a new cell phone sure wish I could get back 😢 I missed having the other ones apparently it was a one time only? But sad I can not get back.
As someone who grew up playing Dragon Warrior on NES I love this game. It's so much fun to play if you like 8 bit turn based RPGs. If you don't like them something's wrong with you.
Straight-up "Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest" clone. Three pre-made characters in starting party. Good throwback game for fans of early, simple RPG'S. Very simple gameplay and dialogue (Don't expect Ultima)
Good game to past the time. Not to hard to level. Fighting is okay, and need a little strategy still needed to win some. Good first time game for kids.
Grinding is part of what makes a good rpg, so no complaints from me. I used to play 7th saga on snes and that was a crazy slog of a grind so this is nice.
Gallardia is very much a streamlined version of Dragon Quest. The ATK ALL imput makes battles a breeze. An enjoyable simplified RPG. Recommended for everyone. 5 Stars.
Very fun game. Reminds me so much of Dragon Warrior. I wish the sequel was still available.
Love it! Dragon Warrior was my favorite series growing up, and this is a great version of that type of game
The opponents are stronger than our heroes. You gotta be kidding right? The heroes that we have must be stronger than our enemies i suppose. They need to add more npc that can help us, not those npc that talks nonsense, though its giggly but it aint helpful. The king in the first conversation only introduces about a demon we have to fight, but never mentioned that those fckng snails, bats and wizards are stronger than 'd demon we anticipate on our adventure in that castle. Dont make o.p enemies
What happened to Gairaldia 2 and Gairaldia 3? They used to be available.
Reminds me of the old Dragon Warrior game from NES.
Great old school rpg
How do i get jail key pls help i got 4 gems and defeated 2 devils what should i do now
Another good game
Need more story
I'm a huge fan of old school RPGs, especially Dragon Warrior, and this game definitely scratches that itch. It can be a bit tough, with monsters jumping up to somewhat ridiculous boosts over the enemies you were just fighting, but grinding is just part of the classic factor. May pick up the others at some point, after I get the DQ ports available.
Good throw back if you enjoyed Dragon Warrior on the NES. The story is minimal, and there are translation issues with the port. Got stuck finding a few things and after looking in forums there are key pieces of information missing in the English version, so expect to look a few things up to complete. Pacing could be improved as well, lots of grinding required.
All Gailardia games have some graphics issues on Android 5.0 Lollipop, all sprites are surrounded by a green coloured rectangle (probably corresponding to their image dimensions). Otherwise these are okay old school stype RPGs. They could perhaps use a little more polish and spelling/grammar checking but are otherwise nice.
It's OK at best, naztolgia isn't going to cut it for me, it's too small and unrefined for me to fully do anything with or put any attention to, I've put maybe 5 mins at predicting the story, actually no, I took 0.000000001 second at the story, it just too common, if I wanted to play Dragon Quest I would play Dragon Quest. Sorry this isn't even close to the platform where Dragon Quest stands tall and proud above all the want to be RPGs.
Nostalgic gameplay - definitely a DW clone (which isn't a bad thing). 3 stars because it's a little too heavy on grinding, and the translation is horrendous. Most of the NPC text doesn't make any sense, it's like they ran everything through a crappy translation program. Oh well it's free... and still fun in short play sessions.
Shares a lot in common with the original Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest) for the NES/Famicom. But it is still its own game. If you have fond memories of RPGs on your NES - give this a download, and then go buy the sequels. This game is old school all the way. There is some grinding to do. No shortcuts. You have to earn those levels.
Enjoyed playing this typical retro JRPG, this is my kind of retro game. Can't add much to all the positive reviews. Apparently the bugs have been worked out, not a single problem throughout game play. More than one save slot would have been helpful. The poor translation is good enough to get the info across. It's actually unintentionally humorous at times, sort of like some of the old poorly dubbed oriental MA or SciFi cult classic movies. Finished Gail 1 and starting on Gail 2 now.
Green boxes around my characters and mobs turn 8 bit awesomeness to crap. Leveled up to 6 or so and started collecting next town gear but yeah can't get over the green boxes. Shame cause got to imagine easy fix, would buy next title if I could finish this one
Free with no ads is worth 3 stars all on its own. Two more stars for a rpg game done in the old style. Update: I have been playing this for a few days now, and I am totally delighted with this game. A truly classic old school rpg that reminds me of when FF 1 first came out. Well done!
Needs updating for graphics issues badly. Worked fine until the KitKat update to 4.4.4. Now there's a green block around all the characters and the enemies. Fix that and it'll go back to 5 stars. Awesome old school RPG. Brings back fond memories of the early Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy games.
It seems obvious it was modeled after the original Final Fantasy, which is fine because that was a fantastic game in its time, but that was a long time ago and games have moved on since then. The biggest problem with this game just like that one is that it's super grindy. You have to grind at the start of the game to be strong enough to move more than a few steps from your starting town, and then every step of the way you have to grind, grind, grind to prepare for the next step. After grinding Non-Stop for almost 2 hours I made it to the end of a far away cave only to find the boss there destroyed me with ease. That's when I quit. Unless you just love grinding, that's probably where you will quit too.
This game is pretty good and definitely worth a play, a few weak points though, the players are always animated to walk, this trips me out a little, not a huge problem, but the mobs are way OP too early into the game. Also, there should be a map, taking ages to find the other towns and the distances are too hard to measure without visual guidance. Overall, it works well enough as an Adventure/Quest type RPG, and is as good as any f2p game ive come across, except the amazing Inotia3.
This game is a great RPG with a great soundtrack too! Actually this was one of the very first games I downloaded for my first Android phone back in 2012, and it's one of the very few games I had at that time that STILL work today on newer Android versions! Thanks so much for updating it!
